Here's a question for ya: If I'm writing a book, and I mention a sign that was written in all caps, such as "ICE COLD WATER HERE," then would I simply write it in all caps in my book, or would I just capitalize the first word, or every word, and then say "A sign reading 'Ice cold water here' in all caps"? I hope this question makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I don't know if I just knew the rules for capitalizing I've or I'm, or if i've always done it because my phone does. It's actually funny how much you can learn from the auto capitalization and auto correct on your phone lol..
Hi Rebecca, First of all, I just want to say: Thank you, thank you for learning me so much English that none of my teachers did. Im in the States now studying and my teacher is talking about conditionals and I do not understand it. Could you please explain it to me in one of your videos? Thank you in advance!
Something I"ve wondered about for 30 years now. There is a deliberate style of spelling a lot of people have used( and I mean a lot!) where, and its almost like a law, to never capitalize L's or I's. Apple computers borrowed from this style for their iMac, iPod, iPhone, etc.. I just saw an example of this today where somebody put a hand written sign next to some plants that read "DON'T REMOVE PlANTS!" At first I thought they misspelled paint. A lot of people have taken this a step further and mix printing and cursive in one word - Always with a small i and small l. People of all ages do this as well. Anybody know where this originated?
Thanks for watching, everyone! To make your best English leaning plan, this lesson can help: ua-cam.com/video/a49RcxrJ0xY/v-deo.html
