this was nice to see a new video for new earbuds as I find it one of the hardest things to purchase for myself right now, wanting to switch from headphones to eabuds to get rid of the hassle of headphone hair and not being able to wear them after a shower, but I also don't want to lose the sound quality that my headphones provide, this video definitely helped narrow down my options
I've had the Hyper X for almost 4 years and still use them to this day because I wear glasses and headphones for prolonged periods of time hurt my head. Haven't ever tried any others because i've never had any issues with these.
Why does no one talk about how easy or hard it is to tell directions of footsteps or other sounds with IEMs? That's like the only important thing for gaming. or for competitive gaming I guess
Oh and while this guy bumped my comment, quick update: I bought the hyperx cloud earbud 2 and they're epic. They fit perfectly, directional sound is great and overall quality is also great, I cant really find any complaints honestly. Kind of a gamble if they will fit your ears but I recommend them if youre in need of IEMs

I had the battlebuds since this time last year and they only just started to not work ! But for a year they was perfect and it’s super cheap ! I need to order me some new ones now
The Turtle Beach Battle Buds boom mic is superior, in my opinion. It does a great job cancelling out noise. I always play with a small fan next to me and my friends can't hear it. I hate that it's bulky though and that easily falls off my ears. It does have great in-ear audio, but it's hard to pin point left and right sounds when playing FPS games. I do like the in-ear audio sound of the Steelseries. It doesn't fall of my ears, especially with the ear hook feature. Also, it does the job when pin pointing left and right stereo sounds for gaming. I took the Turtle Beach Battle Buds boom mic and plugged it in the Steelseries Tusq. Works like a charm and it's almost perfect. It's just missing the mute and volume slider that the Battle Buds have.😅
I get no audio from my apple earbuds on Xbox so I need ones that will actually work (My overhead headsets work fine, I just don’t always want a huge headset on my head)
I bought the JBL Quantum 50 when it was on sale a week ago during Black Friday 2022, and are using it right now to listen to this very review. As their only earbud in the Quantum line of products, I can say, for 20 bucks, JBL outdone themselves in combining such an amazing build & sound quality into such an affordable package. It's not just a steal, it's downright robbery! They are probably losing money on these. The in-line mic sounds so damn good, way better than almost all other earbud and IEMs i own. And to be honest, I bought into this earbud knowing nothing about it, but purely on the aesthetics alone (I go for the black one), I really dig the bold and premium build look of it all, and the features and accessories they provide all-in-one, chef's kiss*. Love the half rubber half braided cable, very unique, and the braided cable looks and feels so nice and sturdy, with some orange accents to them, complete in the JBL brand. I was planning on trying these out and then return them, but the more I use them, the more I think I'll keep them just because they look and sound so good, and for 20 bucks, they already earned a spot as a collector's piece if anything else. i’m kind of confused. during the steel series tusq review towards the start you state that the turtle beach battle buds have a terrible mic but in this you say they have an incredible one.
Which has the superior sound quality? Cloud2 earbuds or the quantum 50? Cause I have the impression that the quantum 50 overtakes C2 earbuds only because of your comfort which is subjective.
I have used steelseries tusq and jbl quantam 50 till now for 4&3 months respectively. And my experience exactly matches with your review. The quantum 50 is more soothing and ear pleasing for long sessions while the tusq is too shouty for me. For the footsteps I'll give the tusq in pubg mobile 10/10 bt rather that that it's not good experience overall. Where as the quantum 50 little lacks on the the footsteps it's little hard to know how far or near the enemy is(not too that bad too it gets the job done)and while you're taking tpp and someone pushes you through the stairs on the building you need to take your next step on assumption with the quantum 50 bt with tusq you can more precisely know exactly where the enemy have arrived and how far or near it is. But for overall I liked, enjoyed and had more pleasing experience on the quantum 50. Next I was thinking of upgrading to Logitech g333(cause I saw many of the streamers uses it and it is one of the most recommended earphone too for gaming)bt after seeing your review I think it's not gonna be suitable for me rather I'll go next for hyperx cloud earbuds and heard that cloud earbuds are also released. And if possible please make a review on final vr300 too. I want to know about it too, how good or bad it is.
So did you use hyperx earbuds?? How was your experience... I'm also gonna purchase a wired earbud for pubg for competitive and you know how much important sound sense is in those lobbies...So can you please tell which earbud should I specifically buy for pubg??

Hmm tough to say on loudness. That will heavily depend on the device you’re using them on. The battlebuds are very bass heavy. If you’re looking for others like that, the SteelSeries Tusq sound similar
hi! thanks for the great informational video, i want to ask about the difference between an audio splitter and a usb sound card, which do you recommend? what are the pros and cons for each of them?
Can be major pro’s to certain sound cards. Some offer software along with it to help EQ and tweak settings. But other than that, there’s not a major benefit over the other
We have 3 G333s in my household, because my girlfriend likes them a lot, but to me those are insanely uncomfortable, they fall out all the time, the flat cable tickles my beard, and on top of all that, the cable is so short, it can barely get to my face if plugged into my monitor, that's right in front of me...
HP earbuds that are just like the turtle battle buds are a little bit more comfortable and can sound a little bit better but directional audio is hard if directional audio matters do not buy the HP ones if it does go battle buds the HP ones are more comfortable. Either way it’s gonna take a long time to get used to it I can I can wear these things for nine hours and not even noticing your ears aren’t used to it and they’re going to push in a way that it’s not used to and it’s gonna take a long time to slowly get used to it, the battle buds are the only ones that I found that you can actually use competitively there. Mike can be a little bit touchy if you hit it or have a beard and it scratches the wire or the mic but from what I found they’re usually like $17 always on Amazon that’s nothing they’re pretty good if I were you guys I would just go with the turtle beach Battle buds you’re going to actually be able to talk to people unlike the microphone on the wire
Truthear x Crinacle Zero. None of the earbuds mentioned even fall within the top 20 list of gaming IEMs under $100. Under $50 the Zero and Moondrop Aria rule the space and for very good reason. Grab a set of Zeros and you'll see what I mean. You will literally throw every mentioned IEM in this video in the trash. Note: not an audiophile perspective.
Very true, these can’t compete with even most of the bottom end IEM’s. But this list is just strictly covering gaming earbuds. A lot of my viewers aren’t ready to make the switch to IEM’s, so I just want to help them make a good buying decision
@@BaxTechYT That is a fair assessment. I can see why you presented it in the way that you did. You should do a follow up video on the best IEMs for gaming.

i think the best way to buy them is get good eartips ,i use med or large ,thats where the sound leaks. i just bought a pair of no name earbuds then put the best eartips you can find. i get really good sound and play games with the same ones.
Definitely agree! I like to slap on foam ear tips anytime I can
Can hyperx earbuds compatible with pc? And where it has to be connected on line out port or rear?
Thanks! I was looking for some inexpensive gaming earbuds to complement my ModMic Wireless + Sony MDR7506 Headphone combo that i already use, but when i dont want sweaty ears after a long gaming session.
Heck yeah, glad I could help!
jbl quantum 50s are on amazon now btw
Logitech G333 is the best, the only issue is the rubber that covering the cord after 1 year of using it got broke. But overall its the best earphone
Not my favorite, but I can definitely see why some would like them!
No way, those are the worst sounding peace of audio tech i have ever heard in my life, i have owned earbuds on 2007 that sounded waay better.
Not to mention after them being in my ear for 1 second by ears were in pain, truly an horrible horrible product
@@BaxTechYT which one is your favorite pls answer
Sir can you tell in terms of sound in between Logitech G333 and HyperXBuds which one is going to be better for Mobile battle Royale Games like Pubg,Cod,Free fire etc.
I prefer the Cloud Earbuds. But if you prefer the feel of traditional earbuds, the G333 are still good
@@BaxTechYT Thank you sir for your reply 🌝.
But sir can you tell me in between Logitech g333 and hyperxbuds in terms of footsteps sound clarity, gun sounds and sound separation in mobile games like pubg mobile and cod mobile which one is better between the two buds ( I usually use my mobile for gaming ) 🤞. I am literally confused between these two plz help me :(
I prefer the sound of the Cloud earbuds. The G333 are very bass heavy, so to me the audio gets kinda muddy
@@_curious_Devansh go for the hyperx clouds earbuds. many pubg mobile professional teams in Asia uses those. I also use them and the clarity is super clear
I was looking for something to use with the steam deck or ps5 in the controller so looks like the hyperX
Great reviews, thank you
I was gonna get those jbl quantums but couldn't find them anywhere so I ordered some Logitech G333's
Still a good choice!
I got a question which is more better for mobile fps games JBL quantum 50 or HyperX cloud earbuds?
The Quantum 50's, but they're really hard to get right now. But the HyperX are a great option!
@@BaxTechYT Thanks man
For me "Razer hammerhead pro v2" too good for gaming & music
Planning to buy one for gaming.. Need help. Really liked the steel series tusq because of the wrap around design and the boom mic, is it really that bad? And if the tusq is out of the question, what would you recommend hyperx or jbl? Good review. Subbed!
The tusq just isn’t my preferred! Some people my love it’s sound. The mic is great on it though. If you really want a wrap around design and boom mic, check out IEM’s and get something like the Kinera Riyu mic for them
Thank you for the reply but by watching on your videos I already buy the steel series Arctis 7+. Thanks for the reply and for the reviews you are making! Keep it up! God bless!
Clarity in the mids is way above average for the price.
I'm late to this video but is there any other option than the quantum 50 cuz I cannot find them..just need have good mic like them also
I have the quantom 50s and they are unusable to me, they sound too silent in comparison to my hyperx cloud buds, I put my pc volume to 100% and they sound like the hyperx cloud buds at 60%, never found a fix for this issue.
bro, you need a amplifier
Which ones would you say are louder than the Turtle Beach Battle Buds?
Hmm tough to say on loudness. That will heavily depend on the device you’re using them on. The battlebuds are very bass heavy. If you’re looking for others like that, the SteelSeries Tusq sound similar
Can you do headsets I really want one with good gaming audio
Working on that one!
What should I buy for pubgm, jbl quantum 50 or hyperX cloud earbuds?I need them only for gaming and nothing else
I would suggest the JBL's, but they're really hard to find right now
@@BaxTechYT Are they really better?the cost is much cheaper than hyperX
@@BaxTechYT are they better than steelseries too?
@@ok2245 Yes, much better
Stupid question can you use these on Xbox
How mic works on jbl's cause its 3.5mm do i need some adapter?
hi! thanks for the great informational video, i want to ask about the difference between an audio splitter and a usb sound card, which do you recommend? what are the pros and cons for each of them?
Can be major pro’s to certain sound cards. Some offer software along with it to help EQ and tweak settings. But other than that, there’s not a major benefit over the other
@@BaxTechYT thank you!
Couldn’t agree more! The G333’s are my least favorite design. A shame because they don’t sound too bad
Hey Bax, do you connect your earbuds to your pc directly or do you use a mixer for them. Thanks you
anyone else having trouble detecting the mic of hyperx on laptop?
Thank you for the video!
I need iems that are not to expensiv and a very good sound quality for fps and a mic on it
HP earbuds that are just like the turtle battle buds are a little bit more comfortable and can sound a little bit better but directional audio is hard if directional audio matters do not buy the HP ones if it does go battle buds the HP ones are more comfortable.
When youre using these as a mic on PC, do you have to connect a splitter for it to pickup your voice? Or do you juat plug it directly into the pc?
you always need a splitter
Have u ever used razor hammerhead
I haven’t tried Razor’s earbud offerings yet!
Need a review for sound quality
Do you have any recommendations for gaming earbuds with a microphone? Preferably under $50
@Exoticz Truthear x Crinacle ZERO. No mic but there is a mic that can be added. You'll thank me later
Where can i find the jbl quantum 50s
Best earbuds for cauliflower ear??
