    Very very thorough! I’ve not seen anyone else on the UA-cam that explained the basic abc’s of the body jig! Thank you very much. Now I know what everyone else should be doing so there car ends up straight and not doglegging down the highway!😊

      Thanks I really appreciate it and yes I am a firm believer in the frame JIG coming from a racing background we use to JIG in the opposite manner to bend and twist the frames to gain traction in a circle. So over the year shave taken that and applied it to keeping them straight.

      I agree. I really like the lift that rolls out the side of the jig, that’s a great idea.

      It works really well especially if you are doing paint detail and correction.

    Really funny I've had over 35 years of building cars like this, but watching you do these makes me wish I was your neighbor so I could give you a hand.

    Chris Birdsong on the Junkerup channel has done a bunch of these Chargers you might find some tips over there. From what I have seen you do great work. Really like this channel.

    Good video as usual, only thing with your thought process I see a flaw in is if the car is twisted a little, I used the B body frame diagram to check all points with a laser level. I've done several chargers , all frame rails torsion x etc etc. Not rocket science but definitely involved. Best thing for big projects, one step at a time. See too many give up when overwhelmed , its just lego for adults

      I agree it is just lego's for adults and thank you. If you check out my other videos I actually do the same process and check them off frame diagrams for being twisted. I might not have covered that in this video as I don't always remember to go over anything but have highlighted it in other videos the importance of checking for that exact same reason. The recent 70 Challenger build I did you can see my pulling on the car to get it back to being straight. This process is even more highlighted in an accident case when I come across them. Thanks a lot for the feedback and highlighting some places to become better in and I do agree with them.

    I need to find a 68 or 69. The mopar prices are to the moon. I’m really looking forward to the sheet metal build on this one. Great work as always!

    Nice work, as usual! Did you finish that "driver quality" Challenger? I don't think I saw continuing videos on that one.

      @carthageclassiccars  Рік тому

      Thanks and currently waiting on a door skin for that Challenger. That's why I usually have a few projects going on at the same time. It seems most of the time they get hung up on parts availability. I will get back on it hopefully really soon.

    Another awesome project ! How much do they sell for when finished Rick.

    • @carthageclassiccars
      @carthageclassiccars  Рік тому +2

      thank you. They are at the top of the muscle car price list. I will say I think you will have a lot more into bringing one like this and restoring it to high quality vs buying one already finished, but saying that there are too many "flipper" cars out there that guys will slap together and rigged up to make the builder a profit. When you do it this way you know the quality build you're getting, you are getting exactly what you want and have a vehicle that when taken care of will last a lifetime.
