Yeah it would have been amazing. Still, the story in mgs5 was okay tho, just not enough for a metal gear game. But as a sneaking game, it was pretty good.
This is how MGS 5 should have ended: Remember how The Sorrow's difficulty in MGS3 depended on your actions prior to his fight? After the cutscene in MGS5 where Venom puts the "Operation Intrude" tape, there should have been a timeskip and players find themselves at the end of Metal Gear 1's events. BUT instead of controlling Venom Snake, we find ourselves controlling Solid Snake against the former. *And the difficulty against Venom Snake depends on the gear/equipment you kept on him throughout the game*.
That would be too hard to enjoy. If we use a true Kojima-styled gameplay, you will be at first presented the usual loadout screen (with no vehicles). Only to find out that you will not be controlling Venom at all. If you want to add difficulty, have Solid's controls just like Metal Gear 1 (no crouching, no cover etc.) all because he was still a rookie soldier back then.
I think being Venom and getting you ass kicked by snake would've been better. The wheel coming full circle from the start at ground zeroes of helplessness at the hands of an enemy.
The fact that Venom Snake is an avatar, instead of a normal character... the fact that Venom Snake is me, and you, and all of us, makes this even more touching and makes me cry. Bautiful.

Venom isn't exactly the player but we determine the legacy of Big Boss through how you play, whether you are a tactful merciful solider who doesn't kill his enemies and gives them a chance in your Outer Heaven or a ruthless Devil who slaughters all those in your way. You guide the legacy how you see fit.

Don’t worry, you’re not alone. My opinion/headcanon is that Venom had nanomachine injections to help finally get his horn removed safely, but the nanos messed up his psyche and made him basically go rogue. Intrude N313 is the real Big Boss sending Solid Snake to assassinate Venom so he (BB) can take over Outer Heaven behind the scenes and get things back on track. But Solid “goes too far” by discovering that Outer Heaven has a Metal Gear. Venom only pretends to be BB as a sort of last “f you” to him for using him all those years. Basically a case of “If I’m going down, I’m taking you with me” by destroying BB’s reputation.
My headcanon is that venom was still himself after finding out about the truth being a kind medic . But also as a soldier so he did what his supervisor told him to do .but I have the theory that venom was trying to not become a demon by going through this journey. At the end he's like the boss. A good person forced to do some horrible stuff to make a positive change.
3:35 I'm surprised at how little fan art and animation there is about Venom vs Solid. It happened in the canon, and it was the final battle of the original game. You'd think it'd be a hell of a fight since Solid needed an RPG to kill him.
Super Bo Dude it would have made for a sick boss fight to have us play as Venom in MG1 and ragdoll young Solid Snake around the room, only to have him blast us near point blank range with a rocket launcher since we kept evading his shots.

Additionally there is all his injuries up until 1984, and who knows what injuries between 1984 and 1995. Solid at that time was in his prime, and also not considered a serious threat. i actually cried, I didn't even cry at end of mgs4, this truly touched me, I look forward to possibly another remake in the future with even more amazing visuals.
Fun fact. Have an eye that's nearly blind, and those lens flares happen in real life. It's because you don't have both eyes to adjust the lighting for you. Everything get brute forced into one eye and it feels unbalanced to say the least. It can take awhile to get used to it. Just like in Snake Eater, after Naked Snake looses his eye, aiming in first person almost feels two denominational. That's just of the million things I love about Metal Gear Solid.
Chills. The whole relationship between Quiet and Venom is very moving for me. Quiet's Theme adds to that, too. Really shows how much music can add to a moment. I have to admit, I avoided this every time I saw you (or someone) posting about it on the /r/metalgearsolid subreddit because I thought it was just some joke video, but now I regret not watching it. This is really good. I mean the animations are a little awkward when you compare them to the game, obviously, but still... very good.

Love coming back to this vid. Been playing MGSV recently and I'll never forgive Konami for their treatment of Kojima that led to the ending of the game. I'm convinced that if Kojima was allowed to finish, we would have something like this Even if we still play as Venom and the boss fight against Solid is impossible to win. That'd be cool.

Miyakolover I just don't see the need. It's not about the drama of the scene, it's about the tribute to the series and callback to the original game, as well as a nod to Quiet and Venom's relationship and Big Boss' relationship with Venom. Video's done and over with, though. The creator likely won't do it again unless he feels like remaking the remake.
This was suppose to be the true ending of Phantom Pain but sadly we got the incomplete one. The person who made this I want to give my heartiest thanks. Well done.
So how do all the kidnappings, murders, child soldier training and nuclear threats that Big Boss committed fit into this teary situation? Lol! I'm kidding.
Good men do horrible things to make the world a better place. A world without borders; wars; or famine. Boss couldn't do it; Venom couldn't do it; Big Boss couldn't do it; Snake couldn't do it; and Raiden couldn't do it. So many good people died trying to make it happen, and made half of it happen. The blood; sweat; and tears of a good man replenish the Earth like rain. It will happen one day, men shall beat their swords and shields into plowshares.
All that either Big Boss ever wanted was freedom, so that people wouldn't be used as tools and thrown away like worthless scraps after having served their purpose. They did terrible things to achieve that, sure, but the people they fought to overthrow were every bit as terrible. Even Solid forgave them in the end, and knew how terrible he himself was. They all knew they had no tomorrow, but they fought for a better future.
The only thing this needed was the Venom model and it would've been PERFECT, so can you update it with Venoms model, if you can that would be AMAZING. Excellent Work

You have to replay the prologue, then this cutscene starts with Venom walking up to take a piss in some bathroom god knows when, then pulling out this tape with truth god knows out of where, and then the game ends just there, with Eli and his kids having sahelanthropus n chilling while main heroes are in DD which is never mentioned further in the series, on an offshore base in the middle of nowhere which is as well never mentioned further in the series, with big boss being god know where, and most importantly, at least for me, the ending did not explain how the fuck did BB pull that trick with leading Outer Heaven and Foxhound at the same time, being already pretty infamous and known to go rogue.
rogbel I think wether replaying the prologue was good or bad, it was designed that way. The whole game is the lead up. Just look at the intro. Its the same cutscene. If you had listened to the cassettes you would now that miller explains snake that when the base is very big they'll move to somewhere else. You can tell by that, that venoms reunites with big boss in south africa. Also, Big boss could lead foxhound because zero wanted him back as his friend (even though he is vegetal, just his AI) so, Big boss lead foxhound, and Venom, Outer Heaven. All of this is explained in the second timeline, which appears if you see the whole credits.
Good stuff! Good to see the fans trying to tie loose ends. I hated how they made Big Boss "run away" and we never got to see his actual dive into infamy. It was so disappointing. We never got to see Zero either. I was really hoping we were going to see all of The Patriots alive and in person in MGS5 once and for all.
Alot of people ask "who was ocelot fighting for who was he loyal to?" Ocelot was loyal to one person and he gave 50 years of his life to set his soul free

Miyakolover I just don't see the need. It's not about the drama of the scene, it's about the tribute to the series and callback to the original game, as well as a nod to Quiet and Venom's relationship and Big Boss' relationship with Venom.
Video's done and over with, though. The creator likely won't do it again unless he feels like remaking the remake.

Actually,scratch that. Venom was the "Biggest of the Bosses" xd, as he had good intentions.
Good men do horrible things to make the world a better place. A world without borders; wars; or famine. Boss couldn't do it; Venom couldn't do it; Big Boss couldn't do it; Snake couldn't do it; and Raiden couldn't do it. So many good people died trying to make it happen, and made half of it happen. The blood; sweat; and tears of a good man replenish the Earth like rain. It will happen one day, men shall beat their swords and shields into plowshares.
All that either Big Boss ever wanted was freedom, so that people wouldn't be used as tools and thrown away like worthless scraps after having served their purpose. They did terrible things to achieve that, sure, but the people they fought to overthrow were every bit as terrible. Even Solid forgave them in the end, and knew how terrible he himself was. They all knew they had no tomorrow, but they fought for a better future.

You have to replay the prologue, then this cutscene starts with Venom walking up to take a piss in some bathroom god knows when, then pulling out this tape with truth god knows out of where, and then the game ends just there, with Eli and his kids having sahelanthropus n chilling while main heroes are in DD which is never mentioned further in the series, on an offshore base in the middle of nowhere which is as well never mentioned further in the series, with big boss being god know where, and most importantly, at least for me, the ending did not explain how the fuck did BB pull that trick with leading Outer Heaven and Foxhound at the same time, being already pretty infamous and known to go rogue.
rogbel I think wether replaying the prologue was good or bad, it was designed that way. The whole game is the lead up. Just look at the intro. Its the same cutscene. If you had listened to the cassettes you would now that miller explains snake that when the base is very big they'll move to somewhere else. You can tell by that, that venoms reunites with big boss in south africa. Also, Big boss could lead foxhound because zero wanted him back as his friend (even though he is vegetal, just his AI) so, Big boss lead foxhound, and Venom, Outer Heaven. All of this is explained in the second timeline, which appears if you see the whole credits.

@ 0:56..... Bone chilling. Thank you for making this video. This was the start of it all. I'd have showing a full shot of Solid Snake standing over Venom. I'd have also dressed venom in combat fatigues with a scarf. I'd have also edited the video to use Venom Snake rather than Big Boss since in this Scene Venom Snake loses the battle to Solid Snake and is defeated by an RPG hit.
