Cat rabies is very rare. It can happen as rabies can infect all mammals, but rarely cats. In my country with a sad high rate of rabies, 300+ cases a year, 98% from dogs and 2% from other animals include cats and wildlife
Thank you for sharing this information. It's important to note that while rabies is more commonly associated with dogs, especially in areas with high rates of the disease, it can indeed affect all mammals, including cats. However, as you mentioned, the incidence in cats is relatively rare. It's crucial for pet owners and the public to be aware of this and take appropriate preventive measures, such as regular vaccinations for pets and avoiding contact with wild animals. Stay safe and informed!
@catworldacademy My eldest sister was suddenly attacked by her outdoor domestic cat seemingly at random. He yowled at her and bit and scratched her ankle. She has sustained two scratches. For months she's been seeing an increase in his nervousness as well, he didn't used to be so afraid of things. What should she do? Should she get the vaccines straight away? Does her cat have rabies? Will she get it too? Very informative video, thank you ❤😊
@@ocariesoc217 Luckily, yes. 😌 She was afraid and kept an eye on her cat. She remembers feeling a little weird after the bite for a few days, with some dizziness and spinal pain, but she isn't 100% sure that it was related to the wound inflicted. Thank you for your concern! ❤️☺️
Terrible video. Contain figures of rabies in cats, especially in the west, extremely rare putting fear out there for no reason, stop it, do better. This is why we need the thumbs down button.
Yes they also do not tell you how prevent rabies. Rabies vaccination is usually helps prevent rabies. My cat has rabies vaccine. I had him for 5 to 6 years. I get 3 year shot 2 times. He is do in may 2025. I always keep him up to date
