    'Just be kind to it and it will come back' beautifully said Hans. So touching and true. These plants are so disrespected after their bloom cycle, it's sinful. I love how you pointed out that it was bud building and not body building. Hahaha. That made me smile. 😊 I noticed throughout the video that you have the soul of a child and life hasn't washed the innocence away. You're an absolute sweetheart Hans. NEVER change my brother. Thank you for the wonderful tips on this plant Hans. She's already showing off her coloured bracts.There was a massive shrub in junior school and I still remember being amazed by her blooms as a child. Quite a beauty. Thank you for sharing the beauty and wonderful tips on how to make her rebloom Hans, I'm sure that'll make people think twice about throwing them away. God bless! From the garden city of India to the Emerald Isle, may you and Lynn have a smashing day! Namaste!

    Nice job Hans! Looks like a little tree. Euphorbias are such a diverse group of plants, funny how these guys are related to our cactiform Euphorbias. The average person would liken the cactiform types to cactus before they would ever think they were related to the poinsettia. Interesting indeed!!!! I just rescued one from the dumpster. It was cut back and has no leaves. I’m repotting it in a better draining soil. It will be in an eastern window over the winter. I’m giving it my best to save it. When should I give it some fertilizer feeding? Thank you and plant love from Tennessee, USA. 🌵🌱❤️

      So happy you saved that plant Cheryl! When you see new leaves and new growth you can give fertilizer and it love a light place. If you give the plant sun for the new leaves the leaves are prepeard for the sun. If you grow it in shadow and later put the plant in sun the leaves gonna burn... Thank you for your lovely comment! • @plantdaddy3420
      @plantdaddy3420  4 роки тому

      Hi there Karen & Donnie Russell! The leaves can fall, but the plant don´t die. Often the plants are very stressed from the nurserys and all moving from a perfect green house to a store and then to a home. So they can die from the chock. Keep water them and let them have good light in the days and not below +15C. They want a DARK night so no bulbs on in the sorounding and if a fullmoon is very bright, even that can disturbe them. l wish you good luck and l know you gonna success! Thank you so much for your lovely comment and we wish you a lovely December and end of 2019! :-) :-D XD

      The Euphorbia pulcherima is round the year growing and they don´t want to dry out completly. They can drop the leaves and comtinued growing. But l have to mension that they are very heavily driven in the nurserys and when they leave and be transported and moved to a shop where they don´t know how to treat them and then they come to a home... lt´s to tought for them.
      ln the 70-ties l worked at a nursery in Sweden where we propagate Poinsettias, Eophorbia puscherima, dark red, trad. red, pink and white and it was like a plant industry...
      l advice you to be kind to them. Let them have a light place 8-10 hours per day and a temp of +18 - 20C and water them and give them fertilizer and after awhile repot them in a rich compost and quite high peat %. ln the spring they want longer days so they can go over to the vegative stadium. In the summer they grow strong. ln the autumn they need shorter days again and they still growing. Later they built the red high leaves and then it´s soon winter solstice again... A year of a Poinsettia... Euphorbia pulcherima. Thank you for your comment and take care of you and your lovely plants! Sending back a lots of Love from both of us 2 U!
