I picked mine up today and went with the large round style. I recently switched to prayer style grip and the flat top gives me extra space to get my thumbs side by side. Works like a charm
I plan on picking these up today to test out. I love messing around with my putter grips
My round reverse taper finally came today, put it on immediately, can’t wait to take it out to the greens
These are great grips for the putter. I had the round reverse taper put on this morning. It really feels extremely good on it and putting is quite effortless. Golf Pride is definitely onto something with these. Nice review!!!!
I received my order a few days ago (Pistol & Flat grips only). I put the Reverse Taper Flat on my Scotty Phantom X 12.5 and have to admit that it feels very nice. First time I played with the grip was this morning and I really like the thicker reverse taper (I use a conventional reverse-overlap grip).
Had a chance to try a demo club at a Golf Galaxy and placed an order for the pistol grip version. Hopefully getting it today!!!!
Definitely something to try out.I need to change my putter grip & not sure which to put on yet. Thanks fb or showing more options.
I currently use a round non-taper. I choke down on short putts and stand taller on long lag putts. Reverse taper could work for that but I'd probably want it round. I use to be a pistol grip guy, but it needs to be installed at a slight angle so it's easy for me to square up the club. Round accommodates any angle.
I have a Bettinardi SS 28 slot back putter with a Lamkin grip that seems to be firm but the same thickness until the last 1/2'. The front is flat so I'm interested in the style you put in the Edel putter. I kind of like it and have been getting along well with it. These grips look interesting. Idk if I'm convinced to change yet. Might have to wait till fall and check the reviews or see if a store has it on putters to try.
Interesting. Thanks Matt.
Reinventing the wheel. I have a Northwestern putter with a skinny top and larger flat paddle down low from the late 70s. The new trend in irons is hollow construction, but the Taylormade ICW irons did that in the mid 90s. A sucker is born every minute.
You dont know what you are talking about. Sounds like you have not even tried one. So keep your trap shut and go to PGA Superstore and try one. The flat large was perfect for me. Perfect and immediately regripped it myself and took it to the course and boy was it a pleasure to use.
I put one on my putter. I can't call it a game changer but I do like the feel when I am putting. I use the flat grip since it is similar to the pistol on my OMOI putter but I used to use a flat grip in the past and liked it better. I didn't even consider the lowness on the putter grip but that makes sense after listening to your explanation.
I'm hitting putts at the same rate as I was before but I do think the roll is a bit smoother and better. I'm still working with the grip and learning to use it. The rolls are a bit more consistent which is what I want. Distance control seems to be pretty much the same but I haven't had too many rounds with the grip. These aren't cheap, something like 35 bucks for a grip but if it takes one or two strokes off per round it is easily worth it.
People don't take the putter and the little adaptations into consideration enough. They will drop 650 dollars on a driver which may, and I mean may, give them one or two strokes per round if perfectly correct with the right shaft and right weight and so forth but will continue to use a putter that is completely wrong for them. Going from 36 putts to 33 is a big difference when you think about dropping your handicap. No driver will do that. But a putter with the right grip and practice sure will.
@Mr.SG can you talk about how these grips work for the claw grip putting style?
I have it for two months. Excellent feel and stability. I have dropped 0.2 putts per hole.
Im really interested to try these. They were smart with the colorway, matches my Ping 2021 perfectly. I like the Ping pistol but ya know, always something better out there 😂
Man, Mr. SG grabbing all 3 putters while the heads clink together is giving me PTSD...
No joke. Like nails on a chalkboard. 😮
Don't do it!
Tools not jewels
🤦
PTSD? You think that is traumatic? 🤦
I love the endless pursuit by golfers that a new piece of gear will fix their woes,
Meanwhile practice has been sitting there the entire time saying "hello? HELLO!?!"
It is the sweeper, not the broom.
Just like my other vice...fishing. 😂

Marketing is a helluva drug
I love my Pistol grip. I find it keeps the wrists very quiet 👌🏽
No matter what putter I use I have used a Ping Pistol Grip, I will give the Golf Pride Pistol grip a shot. Thanks Matt.
Since switching to oversized putter grips many years ago and more recently going to the flat cat oversized, was curious about these new reverse taper grips and what the fuss was about, do they have standard and oversize or one size fits all?
There is a medium and large version of each style. The large has a wider, bulkier profile in each shape but they are a few grams lighter than the medium version. I'd imagine for balance purposes.
Just put the pistol grip on my gamer, had to find a putter grip without a counter balance, most of the Stoke Saver putters do have the counter balance weights at the top of the grip.
Are those the mid or large?
Kind of funny how you showed an MCC Plus 4 (non-tapered grip) as the example on the iron you pulled out 0:41
I've used one of them for a few weeks. I can't say I like them at all. I had a midsize, and it just felt bulky and I didn't get any feeling in the putter.
Less coffee, more links. Thanks.
Couple of dudes playing against Rory yesterday could have used these. 😊
Those are some high $ putters to be letting them knock into eachother like that. Makes my hole pucker.
Boy was I surprised. Fits my hands perfectly. But there are three models and two thicknesses so you have to go to PGA Superstore and put your hands on all three. I found the flat large to be perfect for me. Perfect. You gotta try one. But do it now before they all sell out. Im not kidding.
Absolutely reverse overlap would be legit. I use that. I’m lefty
These will look sick on Odessey Jailbird putters.
The grips on the Jailbird are crap > I tried it once and the round feel doesn’t help align the face.
What happened to the enroll putter you went and got fitted for and made a video?
Are these available now?
yes, they released it on April 15th
very curious how you got the grips off. I was told by local golf shop that those oversized putter grips are impossible to remove. Guess not. Just curious about the technique you used.
I have never had a problem cutting them off
You just found a lazy employee who didn’t want to do it haha. They sell oversized grips for putters for a reason.
They look like evnroll grips and evnroll has the best grips
Why do they come in a box of 3?
I'm guessing they don't. That's likely an "influencer" swag box.
What is your current gamer? I didn't recognize it...
That's us! He's currently gaming an Array B-1 👍
@@edel_golf thanks a lot!
It's an edel putter
Evnroll didn’t last long huh?
Hi I'm a super big fan I love your videos and reviews I have one thing to ask there is the worst course ever in San Diego California called eagle crest golf club please check it out and check out the reviews please
First! LETS GOOO
Copied 2thumbs grips….
Weirdo
this is not new technology... far from it... just saying... this has been done before way before golf pride...
Really cool video and explanation. Gonna follow you on Instagram and grab a pistol style reverse taper. I’m left hand low and love a few different grips.
I just tried one, the round large one. One round and a few practice putts and I instantly REGRETTED my purchase and went right back to the Super Stroke 5.0 tour. Bit of advice try one before buying one I wasted 30.00$ I can’t stop calling myself stupid.
