Scott and Kirstin doing all the syncopated background parts, with Kevin just going off, is hard to do in a studio environment where you can do it over and adjust things electronically in mixing. The difficulty of doing this live is about a 20 on a scale of 1 to 10. Crowd noise, sound delays (just a fact with sound traveling through cords and wi-fi) the adrenaline of being in front of a crowd, and anything else that can happen live, this is a whole other level talent and discipline. If any of them get off track or off beat doing this song it could turn into a train wreck in a hurry. I don't think there are too many people, outside of these special five, that could do this and do it that well.

yup, kevin was there, mitch had too much redbull, other comments that everyone else has already said 😂 the last time i saw PTX in concert kirstin was sick, but they didnt cancel the show - she just performed from a chair somewhere backstage(?), mic hooked up to the speakers, and up on the video screens so we could see her. they are SO DEDICATED!! absolutely top tier live performers
When they were in Australia (Adelaide , I think) Mitch had an infection but performed sitting off to his right on the stage. Yup...these guys are so dedicated to performing, so matter that they feel ill or have broken ankles ( like Kirstie did in 2018).

Yeah thank you for realizing that Kevin was there…most reactors constantly ask “where is Kevin” throughout the whole video (super annoying). Clearly the fan taking this video was more interested in Mitch and never panned out to show Kevin standing next to Scott. So thank you for knowing them well enough now to hear him performing.

Oh, dear. I should have warned you to watch the official video first; "Aha!" is a VERY strange song and the official video at least makes it make sense. However, for now, just enjoy this and don't worry what the h--- it's about.
Kevin is off-stage at the beginning of the video because he's putting his cello away; he'd just been doing a celloboxing demo. It was when Avi saw him coming back that the song actually started, so even though you don't see Kevin, he's there.
Note the poor sound quality. That isn't because this was recorded on a fan's phone; it's because Avi's low notes were systematically destroying the speakers. As for Mitch, he was jet-lagged, so just before they went on he drank two Red Bulls to compensate, and the caffeine and sugar seem to have cut in right at the beginning of this song. Arguably, Mitch should NEVER have more than one Red Bull at a time.

The other seriously weird song they do is "White Winter Hymnal," which appears to be a cheerful little song about, uh, decapitation??? The best explanation I have for that one is that they like the hand choreography that goes with it, kind of like the Cup song.
Actually, it was the phone distorting Avi's bass. I've heard another recording from this same concert, and this was a large arena and the speakers worked fine. Check out "Shaun Chew First of June". The concert starts at about 6:15. At 9 minutes, Kevin is playing cello for Papaoutai (not a demo). At 9:45, Avi hits his low notes, they start Aha!, and you actually see Kevin come on stage!!! I'm not sure why, but it was so good to see that, even if Shaun cut it off a few seconds later. One other treat from that video is a partial recording of Avi singing Standing By at 12:15, and Shaun scans the whole arena, showing all the fans holding up lights. It's really beautiful.

Kevin had to go put up Cello and came back on far right. You gotta see them live it is simply indescribable how good they are live. Mitch slapped, over and over!!!! LMAO "Jack Sparrowed" You can still hear the distortion from the speaker Avi popped earlier at the end of the performance.
Thank you so much for hearing Kevin! So many reactors say "Where's Kevin - I guess he had the night off", when you can hear all the crazy beats and rattles and whooshes he's doing! During the opening choral number (brought to them by Avi), you can see a large space between Mitch and Kirstie. Kevin was sitting there with his cello during the prior number, and had gone offstage to put it away. When Avi does his really low bass solo, Mitch moved to center stage, Scott followed him, and Kevin came back onstage next to Scott. Unfortunately, the person recording this never again showed the whole stage, so we can't see Kevin, but we can certainly hear him! Great reaction!

Kevin was offstage putting his cello away, but he joined them at whatever point in the performance that the other four all moved closer together. He was next to Scott.

Scott and Mitch have a side channel called SuperFruit, On there Scott talked Mitch into doing his favorite song from his favorite Broadway musical, the Play is called Wicked, the song is Defying Gravity. The play is the Wizard of Oz told from the perspective of the witches. In this song one witch Elphaba (strange name I know) is arguing with Glenda about learning how to be the first witch to fly on a broom. (the name Defying Gravity makes sense now). So, apart from the obvious Mitch Slaps, there is also the " Where's Kevin" thing. This number immediately follows a Kevin on the cello number, so the blank spot in the middle at the start was where Kevin had just gone off stage to put away his cello, Then you see Mitch slowly moving to the center spot during Avi's solo, Scott moved over too and Kevin presumably took over the last spot. Thereafter, the Mitchaholic fan cam never moved to cover all 5, mostly just Mitch.

Kevin is just out of sight, he was on stage - he had been putting his cello away during the beginning bit but was then there for the rest of it next to Scott but the person who filmed it on his phone only concentrated on Avi and Mitch so you can't see Kevin.

I stumbled upon a different concert Aha video WITH MUCH BETTER RECORDING~~~~Found it under: ptx concert aha 4 5 seconds. That video doesn't focus solely on Mitch the entire time. Lighting is better. Sound is better. It was recorded at a concert in CT. PLEASE, PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT IT. (It has another song included, 45 Seconds.) BTW I loved your reaction!! You can really understand the words better. Granted Mitch wasn't quite as insane in as he was in Singapore. :) I understand Mitch had arrived separately and barely jumped on stage from an overnight flight to Singapore . He'd downed several Red Bulls /coffees to beat the jet lag. The Singapore concert was entertaining, but hard for me to understand.
