Excellent, Shak, as always. My 650 from Goldspot is much more hassle-free and better flowing than my 600. It also feels better in hand than the inelegant baseball bat form of the original. Anyone with the patience (and balls) to reshape the tipping material on the nib of the 650 (with readily available abrasive pads) can quickly increase the fineness of the line without appreciably affecting the thickness on the downstroke. Thanks so much for being slightly obsessed with the same stuff as I am! 😂As you compare more types of flex nibs, I’d be curious for your thoughts on how the SPEED of writing affects the results. One of the foundations of pointed pen calligraphy is the very, very slow and deliberate formation of each letter. It’s a relaxing and calming thing for me. But there are times I’d love to pick up a fountain pen and dash off something quickly. My holiday card addressing could go much faster this year! 😉
Thank you. With this pen specifically, it is possible to write quick without loss of words. The flow keeps up very well, without blobbing [if you use converter]. It gets around 0.3-0.35 mm lines min. I have seen some claims of 0.1 EEEF lines. I have yet to see a Mag 600 nib do that...Unless you grind it to that fineness. I have 3 in hand, and they are pretty consistent around 0.3-0.35. This pen is also very nice for slow and deliberate writing. I enjoy whenever I write with it. Zebra G and Blue dew do better job at thinner lines, but are more fussy. Blue dew railroads a ton, and Zebra G, just stops writing alltogether, and needs messing with. Hope that kind'a answered your question :) I just got a few awesome vintage pens from Orlando pen show with good flex. I hope to showcase in the near future---after my board exam maybe---in November :)
I have a 600 and a 650. I agree with your observations. I write large, fast (and somewhat illegibly!) -- when I'm using the Magna Carta's, I slow down a bit. It look like there is a better polish on the newer 650, though that may not make any difference in actual performance. I've never put the same ink in both and directly compared them. I just got a FPR gold flex nib -- very wet, but not really up to the Magna Carta standards. I have a Flexible Nib Factory I need to put into a pen and try. Looking forward to your reaction to this nib.

Unfortunately double negative. They won't sell the nibs by itself as far as I know. The pens make good sales. The nib does not fit on V200, as the MC nibs are in a Jowo #6 housing. V200 can take Bock 250.
