    Oh that Vegas Sandstorm I was there for in 2016, I tell a lot of people that what was broadcasted on television didn't do it justice being there in person. You couldn't see anything from the mountains to nearly the backstretch, I was surprised the spotters were able to manage that before it cleared up. That was a race I'll never forget attending

    speaking from expirence as a track worker. the guys on the inside of the wall are not permitted to leave that wall unless a life is in danger. so they had to turn around and wait on the track track to get there. its rough but you just do what your told so you can be invited back the next time. there a reason for everything

    That Montoya incident is still one of the absolute scariest things I’ve ever seen happen.
    Something that wasn’t unusual was Kyle Petty saying “that’s incredible.” I think he said it at least fifty times a broadcast.

    A sand storm in Vegas, fog at Pocono, tweeting DAYTONA 500, tire blows on pit road, Robby Gordon's car on fire after pitting, Mark Martin hits Jimmie Johnson during the pace laps, Safety Car catching on fire?       @@Pikashockdragon They used regular, non-jet-rated fire extinguishers to put out the fire (somewhat inefficient). They used the Tide to remove the chemical residue. It's what they had on hand. Funny thing is, Daytona airport is right next to the speedway; airports have jet-rated fire extinguishers.

    The race where the concrete broke off into chunks due to the torque/grip of tires was pretty weird. Didn’t one of the top contenders get taken out by a concrete chunk in that race? Might have been Jeff Gordon. Dale Jarrett hitting the snapping turtle at Talladega was wild too. He won the race.

      NASCAR runs on fully lit tracks. Endurance and other forms of racing, if ran at night, have little to no lights on track.

      This has got to be a joke lol under a red flag drivers have little to do but wait. Then there's the whole driving at the limit of grip as well as power for several hours which takes skill, focus and endurance. These engines require a full teardown and rebuild between races, turning nearly 10k rpm in a v8 is hell
