sHiMmAnIaC At the end he didn't really get it, he could've just lay on of those blocks on the buttons it would've worked nonetheless, but I'm just glad he got even past it.
There are many WTFs I return to time and again to watch, listen and enjoy. This is one of them :3 TB expresses so much emotion in this review, and he doesn't get too frustrated. Nice, mellow and fun!
Usually, I suck at puzzle games or spotting obvious switches too, but the puzzle around 19:00 was astonishingly simple to solve. However, it is a great ability to make fun of one's own incompetence. Good job as usual, TB!
18:29 - You *really* don't see the correlation between the blocks and the buttons? Sometimes, you have to take a step back and look at the big picture; vocalize everything that you have before you. In this case, four blocks and four buttons. Put one block on each button, then put the plank on top of them. Why you keep putting two blocks each on two of the buttons is beyond me. You make puzzles more difficult than they really are.
I wasn't disagreeing with the fact that the mechanics of the puzzle were painfully obvious, i even got a little angry watching TB try to do it, mainly because the mechanics of the puzzle were on the wall behind him, it's just that Jamin said "In this case, four blocks and four buttons. Put one block on each button, then put the plank on top of them." Which was wrong, which just shows that it's possible to get the solution wrong even if the mechanics are simple. I said it because Jamin stated "Put one block on each button, then put the plank on top of them. Why you keep putting two blocks each on two of the buttons is beyond me." which was wrong because the third button had to be left unpressed because it closed the valve rather than opening it.
At 16:20 when you said this is where the screaming starts, I honestly was screaming for a minute or so earlier x.x I'm so happy you figured it out though xD
Your videos are super helpful, but I only watch the videos on the games I am interested in... Unless it's a puzzle game. I watch every single puzzle game review you do because you are so hilariously bad at them. Love it
bluhuhue grehehen bluhuhue rehed grehehen xD so bloody lovely TotalBiscuit really love to watch gameplays with you not even that english teached but understand 98% and laugh my ass off :D
I have to agree that puzzles consisting of pulling levers are not the best way to make use of an avatar because the pulling must be done indirectly; however, I am extremely interested in flying through these lovely environments as that cute little robot head. I quite like the variety of materials and the sense of underground tunnels.
I never said it wasn't entertaining. Sorry, I may have come off a bit rude, I was trying to do the whole 'joking half-insult' thing but looking back I think I failed a bit. Much love, TB.I may pick this up to see the rest of the puzzles and see what else the developers could think of However, watching you play ANY game is way more fun than playing them.Because your voice is very soothing when you're calm, and damn funny when you're pissed.
After watching this episode i desided to buy the game. Now i've played to the puzzle he goes all n00b over. How ever my version of the game (1.2) do not release the ball when you hit the right buttons... so the game is bugged, 10minutes into the game..anyone please help me with this one ?
Things TB is bad at:- Following objective markers, reading on-screen prompts, spotting big obvious red pipes/switches, remembering controls used only a few minutes ago, any form of logic puzzle. To a puzzle involving a foam ball, a well lit basket and a locked door, I expect TB's answer would be #I wonder if I can blow the door open with the ball#. Things TB is good at:- Entertaining commentry, candid gameplay videos, bringing attention to games that deserve some (e.g. terraria).
The puzzle at 9:40 is just impossible for a colorblind person. BT, have you seen any colorblind options in the menu? (unlikely, but will affect my ability and experience in this game)
He is like a cartoon villain, "That was the little rocky baby right there. Its 8 months old, and I just destroyed it." He said that with so little emotion I just picture him in a swivel chair petting a snow white cat.
OMFG, bring someone with you when you are reviewing puzzle games... I'm sitting here and twitching because the solution is so easy and you don't see it. But it is a bit fun I might say ^^.
Man that game was awesome! I loved it the first time he encountered a blind "friend" and said his classic "Follow me", and the blind guy goes "Ok.. WHAAAAAAAH!!!" as he falls to his death : )
I know TB always says he's bad at puzzle games, and i did figure out stuff faster than him before, but this time was the first that i actually was pounding my head at the 4 buttons. It was SO obvious. And then he said he didn't see it was a tube... OMG, it was so clear.. well... nevermind. that's TB, and that's why we love him..
Watching you struggle on the puzzle block beam thing was frustrating for me. It's strange how some brains are so much better at solving things like this but it doesn't necessarily make you a smarter person in other aspects of life. When I see a puzzle like this I kind of instantly picture all the possible combinations that the game mechanics will allow me to do and work it out in seconds, also very fast at reconsigning game mechanics and learning how to navigate a new mmo for example. lucky me.
wrt the price, Limbo is 4 hrs and I think it launched at 1200 ms points or about £10/$15 on xbox, and I guess you'd have to bring up Bulletstorm which took me 7 hrs and was sold for a mind blowing $60 in the US (thankfully I got it for a more reasonable £20 in the UK). Gears was was pretty short too and full priced.
oh my god, educating the player through good level design as opposed to thousands of tutorial screens?! are these devs crazy? But seriously, that's awesome to see again, its been entirely too long.
When he got to the four buttons, I was screaming "GOD DAMMIT JUST LET ME DO IT." But of course, my cries went unanswered.
It's good to know he actually gets it, was starting to get stressed at it too xD
Was sitting there screaming forever.
sHiMmAnIaC At the end he didn't really get it, he could've just lay on of those blocks on the buttons it would've worked nonetheless, but I'm just glad he got even past it.
harrowing
We are proud to have released Unmechanical today, help our little friend find his way on Steam, GOG, GG & Onlive!
Thanks TB, your the best!!!

Watching people play puzzle games is the most painful thing you can do on youtube, I swear.
You watch the rad brad?
YOU PUT THE CUBES UNDER THE BAR WITH THE CUBE CUBE ONTOP
There are many WTFs I return to time and again to watch, listen and enjoy. This is one of them :3 TB expresses so much emotion in this review, and he doesn't get too frustrated. Nice, mellow and fun!
Right when he said the screaming starts here is exactly when i got agrivated xD
I can't believe even with the hint you couldn't get this. Wow. Just amazing.
16:15 it started long ago :p
Really lovely game, thanks for reviewing it. Love the looks and I basically love puzzle games in the little big planet style.
Usually, I suck at puzzle games or spotting obvious switches too, but the puzzle around 19:00 was astonishingly simple to solve. However, it is a great ability to make fun of one's own incompetence. Good job as usual, TB!
OMG I want to scream at you! Put the damn blocks on the buttons and the rail on top of the blocks!
Even though it's a game you hate, it's a game I love. How about a WTF is... Riven?
try not to do puzzles you just get me shouting at the screen sitting on the edge of my chair
AAGAGGAAAA BIKI!!! HEY UUUUUUUU DOTHAT ANDTHAT@!
like that?
TB: I am totally misinterpreting what the game is trying to tell me, most likely.
World: *enthusiastic nodding*
"What is that, and does it wanna kill me?" Seems a legit question :D
No a smarty...
Well you're actually wrong also, because the third button is already activated and putting a cube on it deactivates it. So not all 4 are needed.
Jordan Russell but the fact that four blocks and four buttons seems obvious to him still stands, even if it wasn't the correct answer.
I wasn't disagreeing with the fact that the mechanics of the puzzle were painfully obvious, i even got a little angry watching TB try to do it, mainly because the mechanics of the puzzle were on the wall behind him, it's just that Jamin said "In this case, four blocks and four buttons.

He place the small blocks on the long one -.-
SO he's the one behind the Jesse & TB fanfics. It all makes sense now!
Only TotalBiscuit can make me feel better about my own ability to solve puzzles.
Every puzzle game.... it's so surprising how bad you are at very simple puzzles. And yes you are "astonishingly stupid" haha. :D
Poor totalbiscuit.. what even is your puzzle skill
So many teeth marks on my fingers right now!
*Random Orb Appears*
"Should I poke it?"
"Will it eat me?"
"It looks like it'll eat me."
How TotalBiscut figures if something is friendly.
I must say this is one of your funnier vidoes. Actually made me laugh out loud which is rare. Good stuff TB
This is painful to watch.
HAHAH lol such fail
I love this game it was made by an amazing level designer Sjoerd de jong.
I think this is the best you've done at a puzzle game so far!
14:21 pulled my hair out of the frustration
I really like this happier TB. Cracks way more jokes while getting less frustrated at things that shouldn't really frustrate him!
At 16:20 when you said this is where the screaming starts, I honestly was screaming for a minute or so earlier x.x I'm so happy you figured it out though xD
I'm getting a lot of enjoyment of pretending that TB's voice is actually coming out of the robot.
Your videos are super helpful, but I only watch the videos on the games I am interested in... Unless it's a puzzle game. I watch every single puzzle game review you do because you are so hilariously bad at them. Love it
"Also, why am I a squid?"
That is truly the greatest question in life.
If it interests anyone, this game is available in the new Indieroyale Bundle, current minimum for this and 4 other games is $5.54
TB is the only UA-camr who can make me laugh and rage at the same time.
bluhuhue grehehen bluhuhue rehed grehehen xD so bloody lovely TotalBiscuit really love to watch gameplays with you not even that english teached but understand 98% and laugh my ass off :D

The TotalBiscuit quote on the Unmechanical site is fantastic.
Wow, that lighting portion and whole mechanical heart thing at the end was... creepy. Great atmosphere, I'm on board with this one for now.
Welcome back I think it took longer for me to watch a puzzler normally i don't go back to the same one though.
Truly you have the voice of the gods! Your melodies are honey to me!
During the box/girder puzzle, that was the first time I've had one of those "screaming at the screen" moments you talk about so much, TB. :)
7:13 your fastest puzzle game yet! congradumalations
Mr Biscuit how could you not get this?
For him to play, for us to watch.
Also the backwards smiley was a nod to the WTF Am I Doing thumbnail.
What shades can halibut be in? 5 shades of brown and 3 shades of green?
I never said it wasn't entertaining.
Sorry, I may have come off a bit rude, I was trying to do the whole 'joking half-insult' thing but looking back I think I failed a bit.

Awww, the little floating robot head is so cute :3
how could you not see that this was a tube... i saw it on 480p in the small screen...
I like the way he said he was overthinking it lol. He didn't think it to start with lol. Still love the videos :) Liked
Best game I've played in a while..... please make part 2 :D
After watching this episode i desided to buy the game. Now i've played to the puzzle he goes all n00b over. How ever my version of the game (1.2) do not release the ball when you hit the right buttons... so the game is bugged, 10minutes into the game..anyone please help me with this one ?
Had a tone of fun playing and showcasing this game, hope we get to see more titles on it =)
Welcome to the TotalBiscuit Puzzle Support group. We're all in this together. Deep breathes.
Watching total biscuit play a puzzle game is among the most painfull things I have ever endured.
I love watching him play puzzle games. Dear God.
did tb manage to put the sqare through the triangle`?
So what's the story than, does he live in the U.S. or in Newcastle? I would like it if I could get any kind of confirmation of any of these stories.
TotalBiscuit should do jazz vocals. His voice is fantastic.
Things TB is bad at:-
Following objective markers, reading on-screen prompts, spotting big obvious red pipes/switches, remembering controls used only a few minutes ago, any form of logic puzzle.
To a puzzle involving a foam ball, a well lit basket and a locked door, I expect TB's answer would be #I wonder if I can blow the door open with the ball#.

Entertaining commentry, candid gameplay videos, bringing attention to games that deserve some (e.g. terraria).
There is a podcast?
Come on BISCUIT!
Oh TB, have you thought about getting a co-pilot in these puzzle WTFs?
Unmechanical is 2.49 on steam right now
Man that is one pretty game.
I remember a time when movies don't even look this good.
So TB, when is that novel of yours going to be published?
LOL man just listen to how passionate he sings the lightbulb part.
Right at 9:53 when he says "Greeehhn". I swear to god he was into it.
The puzzle at 9:40 is just impossible for a colorblind person. BT, have you seen any colorblind options in the menu? (unlikely, but will affect my ability and experience in this game)
I like how he managed to figure out the button puzzle while also NOT getting the proper answer to the riddle.
As soon as TB started saying "Aww look at it!" is was instantly happy.
you where at stockholm? man how could i have missed u :(
(i know the vid is made in 2012)
I love these WTF Am I Doing editions :3
what is the name of his wow guild
15:53
I thought I was going to die.
Aww. It's so cute when he's trying so hard.
He is like a cartoon villain, "That was the little rocky baby right there. Its 8 months old, and I just destroyed it." He said that with so little emotion I just picture him in a swivel chair petting a snow white cat.
The soundtrack of this game is so qute and chilling ... "The Wrench" is his name, "Unmechanical" his game ...
I love the art style.
How much does a movie ticket cost? It's about 5$ in germany :D
How is it that fourteen years after games started featuring it, dynamic lighting is STILL a feature that you don't see very often?
OMFG, bring someone with you when you are reviewing puzzle games... I'm sitting here and twitching because the solution is so easy and you don't see it. But it is a bit fun I might say ^^.
Man that game was awesome! I loved it the first time he encountered a blind "friend" and said his classic "Follow me", and the blind guy goes "Ok.. WHAAAAAAAH!!!" as he falls to his death : )
"He has the right kind of mind. Mine was born broken."
That explains why you went into journalism.
After the light bulb puzzle, I think I want to hear TB sing "You're a mean one Mr Grinch."
This would be an amazing LP.
TB you are so fucking hilarious because one moment your being extremely serious then you just make great jokes
Which is why watching TB do this is all the more entertaining. I figured it out around 13:40, but the way he thinks is quite entertaining.
i know that. but have you ever heard of the vectrex?
Hahaha! You do over think things, TB.
Very nice video! Thanks for sharing it.
What thick skull? Yours?
I am literally sobbing in frustration. TB please! Are you doing this on purpose????
I know right, it drove me crazy to watch that four button puzzle!
lol @ tb singing for the lights. I do that too in those kinds of puzzles.
Watching you struggle on the puzzle block beam thing was frustrating for me.
