I feel so represented by the intro of this video because I used to hate wearing and sitting down in denim shorts but denim shorts were all I had for the summer, and I thought this was just a me problem. That was a while ago and I've since revamped my style and became a big midi skirt and dress girlie so this video gets a big thumbs up from me.
I used to hate jean shorts, but now with the more recent (?) models with longer and wider legs, I love them. Also I prefer a less stiff denim fabric or even a thicker regular cotton or linen fabric, they're more comfy and breathable.
The green dress is gorgeous on you! And (most likely) a bias cut dress, the fabric is cut on the diagonal and that's what makes it flatter and drape so well, just a tip for anyone looking for a similar dress x
i literally postponed going to the bathroom to watch this video haha it felt like my bladder was going to explode the whole time but it was definitely worth it. I love your videos btw and this one actually had great timing bc lately i have been very indecisive about what to wear this summer now and this certainly helped!! you're quite literally my saviour ty
Helloooo!! Another girl from Germany and I was really happy when you mentioned the colour analysis, because it really changed my approach to style and colors. With that being said, my features are veeeeeerrrryyy similar to yours (blond-red hair, pale, except I have blue eyes) and my color analysis result was: light summer!! And as your eyes are more green and by looking at you I would think you are a light spring, thats why this green summer dress gives you the 'glow'. Of course this is just my personal opinion and my only reference was this video, so there could be a chance that you are a different season:) but I think youre a light spring!:) Loved the video, love your style!!
I also recommend trouser-style shorts! They’re like wide leg pleated trousers but as shorts instead! The basically A-line cut makes them so comfortable and they don’t do any of the horrible riding up and pinching that denim shorts do. I used to hate summer because of denim shorts but after I switched to this style of shorts last year I haven’t looked back!
Love the jean skirts & dresses. You even pull off the babydoll, my personal nemesis. It instantly looks like maternity wear on me, which is just not what I'm going for. I thought it was because I'm tall (5' 11"+), but I"m pretty sure you are, too. I've found that wider leg openings & a looser, more casual fit goes a long way with jean shorts. Less front wedgie. Stretch in the denim goes a long way, too. This summer, I've got some very casual linen-blend cropped pants, 2 from consignment, that just look so chill with a graphic T. And are so, so much cooler (temp) than any denim.

You should definitely go with sneakers for the shorts fit next summer, the pumps or whatever they are really take away from the fit girl aesthetic which fits you really well. A slightly longer button-up would cut down on the **x factor. The long socks and the bra don't fit the long white dress in my opinion, the bra is nice with the shorter white dress that hides a bit more of your chest so it doesn't pull too much attention away from your face. The wrap-around dress needs a shoe upgrade. Also, jean shorts are good and long jean skirts are awful on their own, try a longer top thing to balance out the fits, although the one with open sides is a little less dense.
I don’t hate the biker shorts but when it’s really hot out I don’t really want to wear something super tight, which is why I prefer the breathable gym shorts 😉
I live in the tropics. Can confirm jeans shorts are bad. Also not really appropriate for everywhere. Love my chino shorts and wide leg linen but you can’t beat a slip dress when it’s so hot you can’t move without a sweat breaking out.
