That’s how it looks for a lot of the summer here in NorCal. In 2020 I lost my home and all belongings in the LNU Complex Fire. What you are experiencing brings it all back for me 😢 Limit your activities outdoors, Rich.
Oh Teri, I am so sorry to read that you lost everything to the LNU Lightening Complex Fire! I also live in Northern CA (Santa Clara) and will never forget the horror of seeing so many homes completely lost in the fire and so many families and animals that were displaced. So sad!! I donated funds to several charities, well as clothes for all ages and genders, toys and basic essentials that went directly to those affected in your area. I know that what I sent in is no where near to the amount you lost but I hope it did help you and/or other families at least a little. How are you doing now, almost 3 years later? Did you continue to stay within the general vicinity of Napa County? I pray that you were able to recover and got back on your feet again rather quickly.

I can tell you first hand, that your donations really help, especially in that first week when you are in shock and have nothing. I was able to go to donation centers twice and got much needed clothes, and things like towels and toiletries that you never really think of but really need! The donation centers are also a place for the community to come together. The kindness and generosity from people like you are the silver lining through the smoke! I’m still in the area, but still essentially displaced, in a temporary rental. It’s so difficult for some to bounce back from catastrophe like this. Each kind of natural disaster has its own unique challenges. I’m so grateful that this summer has been so much cooler than recent years. Prayers for all of the west, and obviously Canada this wildfire season. 🙏🏽 🧡
It's very very bad in Philly too! I was just driving and there was zero visibility and they were thinking of cancelling the Phillies game. It smells too! Stay safe Rich!
