The pollution is much better than before, I visited Beijing for a week last year and it was all blue sky every day, the beautiful Beijing in my memory came back.
My daughter and I stayed in the hutong back in 2014, at the Double Happiness Hotel. Loved it! Then in 2019 we stayed in the city in a back packers. I’ve never had a bad experience in China, loved every minute of both experiences, but especially the people. The best belly laughs I’ve ever had were with total strangers, with no common language between us but had so much fun.
Went to Beijing a few months ago. I used to enjoy my time there, but it has changed so much and it's so sad to see what has happened to Beijing. Did not enjoy it. I don't plan on going back unless I have a necessary reason to go.
I don't usually love Beijing either but it can be nice when it's nice, as far as bathrooms in homes yes it sucks lol, but at least there is public toilets and other services everywhere in these neighborhoods. Glad they haven't all been destroyed yet
@@zhangzhouzhang365 I have a video about it. If you are really that interested, you can find it there. In short, Beijing used to be fun and international. Wang Fu Jing area and Tiananmen Sq were an open, vibrant, fun and welcoming place full of international tourists. That is no longer the case. Last time I went to Beijing I found it to be utterly boring and depressing.
Great video. I loved Beijing ( visited in May), including the hutong. Very charming
Autumn is the best season of Beijing. Cool weather and blue sky, and beautiful 🍁. Climb mountain and the great wall are the best choice.
Thank you for this! Makes me miss Beijing, such a beautiful city.
Thanks Eric! I love these kind of videos. I can learn a lot of the great places china has. And hope to visit there in the future for sure
I am the number 100 who pressed the like button. Your documentary is interesting, thanks for sharing.

@@Eric_Garrison agreed. I love the old style homes. To me, that is the true China. Interesting area you showed though. 👍🏻
What makes you tired and sad? I want to know the answer.

No bathrooms in the home... sounds pretty inconvenient (and bad)
They’re very old so so renovated ones should have
