    We took off to the Oregon coast range for a quick one night overlanding and dispersed camping trip. We stumble upon a fantastic campsite. After a beautiful and peaceful night at an epic camp spot, we took off down the trail and ran into a bit of snow! The oregon coast range is full of amazing dispersed camping if you know where to look. I've got a video in the works for helping you find great camping out on the coast, so stay tuned!

    That’s an epic spot you found. Good call on staying there instead of pushing on.

      Definitely, and after seeing the road conditions past that spot the next day, I was even more thankful we stopped!

    I'm glad the algorithm popped you up on my feed. This was fun. We went through that area a couple weeks ago. Definitely gonna go back.

    I’ve been binging your content for a few days now. As a more recent transplant to Portland, it’s nice seeing country we haven’t got to see yet. Great stuff y’all.

    I'll take a camp with a view like that any day! Also, the humble camp quesadilla is HIGHLY under-rated.

    We have an idea where you were trying to get to (maybe?), we’ve gone a few times during summer because the creek is sooo nice to soak in or take a floatie in down the small rapids 🤣, but it’s gotten so crowded. Great video and EPIC spot up there with those views! What a perfect trip.

      It seems like a fairly trafficked area (I’m sure especially in the summer), we counted 120 beer cans on the side of the road on our way down within about 3 miles 😬
      And I’m excited to get out there again and check out the creeks, seems like some really nice spots down that way
      Thanks y’all 🤙🏼

      @@ScaleofTwo Yeah it’s a really popular area of course being not too far from the Portland area. Summer is nuts, lots of ATVs and dirt bike riding out there. But it’s so beautiful and the creeks are crystal clear. It’s no wonder it’s a hot spot! Can’t wait to see what you find out there!

      Seems like there are tons of great spots out there, and it's fairly close to us. We'll have to get back out and explore it more. Thanks for watching, Trevor!

    Did you have to drive passed one of those yellow gates that are subject to close at any time? I did before and got locked out and had to find another way out.

    • @ScaleofTwo
      @ScaleofTwo  Рік тому +1

      Ya know I think the route we took didn’t have a gate. But there were definitely a few of the off shoots that had them. There’s so many gates in Tillamook, and I’ve always worried about getting locked in up there haha

    Wife and I are doing a Oregon coast trip this fall. Did you guys do anything special for being in bear country?

    • @ScaleofTwo
      @ScaleofTwo  2 роки тому +2

      Honestly, Oregon bears are few and far between. They’re black bears and not usually aggressive. I would definitely have bear spray, we always have it on us. But just make sure you keep your food inside a vehicle or bear safe container, more for the raccoons and other critters that’ll get into it than the bears. But always a good idea to have bear spray!

    • @TheKPDX
      @TheKPDX Рік тому

      It's worth noting the whole PNW is black bear country. On Eastside Seattle we have bears all the time (except for winter). They almost never approach you in the backcountry - they usually run. Just don't leave smelly food in your truck while you're gone or you may find they damage your car trying to get in. I've never needed it in the PNW but we carry a bear spray can in the car & I have a tiny air horn to scare them off if need be.
