At this very moment im writting a book, and it is perfect for the passage im working on. The return of the main heroe to her dark and forgotten kingdom. Thx Cryo chamber for such a masterpiece.
I have a story going on about a tribe of humans living on an island that's surrounded by mist that no one ever dares to go to, or has returned from once they have gone inside. Then one day a boat with a boy on it appears from within the mist and the tribe folk find him covered in runic tattoos. And one day, a tall horned figure from the mist starts to whisper to the boy...
While listening this awesome ambience, I came up with an idea. Why don't we all play a game like the story chain where someone would start the story and others would continue it one by one (the ones we used to play when we were kids!). Alright I start it:- I don't know how to describe it, its beautiful yet terrific; snow covered mountains, frigid weather and frosty forests which rarely allows sunlight to break in. The most appropriate word for it that currently comes to my mind is 'mystifying'. The moment I stepped here, the environment felt very inexplicable. Though I don't know whether to call it a proper city or not, because for every other people in this world, this would be a beautiful city apt for vacations but I think only the people who actually came here, would understand what I am saying. I'm not so sure whether tourists would come here. Few days ago my friend called me and told me about a big plot of land in this magnificent place, to make a hotel. He said that making a hotel would attract many tourists and a good source of income which we direly needed, because generally no one comes this side of Romania, and so there has never a been any hotel here. And now as I have reached here, I understood why no one comes here. If the daylight is so gloomy here, what would the night seem like. It's really awkward as I've visited Romania twice earlier but this place feels so different, not only from Romania but from the rest of the world. While on my way to here, strangely I saw no sign boards nor any milestones, just a single, nearly broken nameplate on the side of the road from where the forest starts and on it was written, "Welcome to Transylvania". (Make up the next part of the story)
It was raining pearls now. Here and there different tones I could echolocate them immediately. It's not the first time vision got blurry, but the sound never, infact I use to be blind and in my agony I developed a superhuman skill. I never shared this with anyone but you. Because you're the only one I trust. I don't trust these trees nor I see myself opening any of the chamber doors to the possible betrayal of this unfriendly architecture and their suspicious roamers. What I see is steam finding it's way out of the shining skin of the tree trunks. I catch a breath , inhaling silently. Once the wet grass kept balding away, stones perfectly cut off, marked the end of the road. I was standing on the beginning, but also the end. As if no citizen could ever leave, was spellbound to no future outside, or free movement. I did feel a sudden change in temperature, I felt like I was trasspassing, I felt guilty of a humangus crime. Then again, "meat worm" dawned in my mind, bringing clarity to an existential crisis I can't put on hold any longer. In millisecond I ripped my left glove off, it was - the itch. Unmistakable. Without having to inspect it I slapped my hand on the mouth. Using my teeth I could claw the worms end and with calculated amount of force and pulling, the parasite was out. Not the first time doing this. It kept swirling around my lips it's slimy bubbly body trying to catch a grip on next flesh if it could. As if it's not enough that I'm being eaten alive by this monsters, I wasn't bareing to keep looking at it a moment more. I spat it out and projected vomit. Even though I snapped the worm with my teeth, I didn't dare to look at my hand, so I put the glove on back. Without any bad restrictions that worm was smashed unrecognizably. There's reasons I came here, that are much complex then you'd think. Spooky town, I hear your scream for me. I don't know if it's coming from excitement or from fear.
I have been living in this Godforsaken hellscape for over a week now (or at least I think it's a week, the mind can't be trusted in a place like this). And while one can never truly acclimatise or understand the sadistic joke that is this town. I have been able to piece together something about my new crimson prison cell. To begin with the hours of light seem surprisingly little, at least in contrast to the rest of the world. It is as if the town is locked in a perpetual winter in which 'daylight' (a sickly gloom) lasts no longer that 4 full turns of the clock. Night on the other hand has more dominance here as when the void smothers the town like a dark curtain concealing the land, bestial sounds and strange macabre illusions follow. I have seen all manner of things; ethereal figures taunting me, livestock being horrible mangled or partially devoured and worse. I even hear voices from someone I recognise but they... they disappeared when I was a boy and yet I hear their voice so clearly in my ear. My newest day of purgatory played a different kind of trick on me but this was no mirage, no hysterical joke or scam this thing was real. A gentleman approached me, he was of a relatively average height and build, he adorned himself in a dark suit and purple shirt and had long dark hair that trickled down his back like wet ink flowing down a page. He examined a pocket watch before looking at me and holding out his hand.
A strange longing to take his hand overcomes me. It is like a feeling of obligation, something I must do and feel honored in doing. I raise my hand slowly to reach out and grasp his own. I reach farther and farther until my muscles strain. I find nothing, and a stark revelation overcomes me: The man is far beyond my reach, he always was, and yet I had been so focused on him that the distance eluded me entirely. Why this man captured my attention so completely I could not say, but the question now kept me fascinated even further. I gaze at him still as a shadow crawled over the town as the flowing grey mass of a cloud passed above it. At the moment the shadow covers him he vanishes from sight completely, but not before mouthing some brief words in the instant before. In my mind I know distance and the inaudible statement should have left his words impossible to understand, yet I understand intrinsically what it was he said. "Find me." Only the aching joints of my still-raised arm finally rouse me from my contemplation. It feels like I had held my arm up for unbearably long, not in minutes but in hours. Have I been here for hours? The cloud layer made it impossible to know, but I remain shaken nonetheless. Uncertain, I retreat to the areas of town I am most familiar with, the residential and market areas where I spend most of my days. Or try to, when possible. In my subconscious thoughts the man and his words, his calling remain. I had come here on business at the suggestion of a friend, found such strange sights and things words could scarcely describe that I thought I would grow accustomed to them, but this man leaves me with a profound impact. Every time I try to dismiss him from my mind he returns like a crushing weight upon my psyche. With hours passed, I sit at my old wooden desk as I come to my determination. Whatever business I came to Transylvania for is now secondary, I must follow the path the dark, mysterious gentleman set me on. I MUST find him.
"As the night grew darker and the lamps grew brighter, a strange man roamed the streets dressed in black from head to toe, stalking the empty cobblestone streets of the city. His dark aura stretching as far as the light could reach, his eyes a piercing grayish blue. And as he watched the night grow darker with every breathe he took. It was pierced by a howl of an unearthly creature, before the night grew silent once more"

Playing a fantasy campaign in a tabletop RPG, and the party is going from an area off the coast full of fun and pirate adventures on the heels of a pirate prince in disguise. He's involved in a good deal of political intrigue in a shady Victorian city in the middle of a thick, dark magical forest. The carriage moves into the darkness and the atmosphere changes. No longer are there scimitar-carrying pirates singing shanties, or the whimsy of their hastily-constructed floating cities. Now, dark eyes watched you. Portions of the forest appear twisted and corrupted by something unearthly. The few people on the road avoid looking your way. The spires of the city begin to loom higher than the nearby trees as they enter the limits. Blinds shut. People head indoors. No one is even wanting to look at the carriage the party are riding in. Stores close as they pass. This begins to play. They were *CAPTIVATED.* Thanks, Cryo Chamber!

You can hear the casual hoof as you begin working your way through the city. The hair on the back of your neck, and on your arms stand on end as you have the feeling of you being watched, even followed. You turn down a alleyway just to walk around the corner of the next street go hear nothing. Eerie silence fills the one active streets. You stop at the silence, a lone guard passing by on top of his horse. As your eyes follow you feel the hot breath of someone on your neck, finally breaking the silence with "I believe you dropped something". Your nerves feel on end as the man speaks, knowing very well you didn't drop anything. You feel a sharp thud to the back of the head, the world spinning before fading to black.

To understand the upper quartiles of human potential is to understand our darkest proclivities, desires and abilities. While it isn’t necessary to embody these things, at least not always, it is necessary to master the potential of malevolence from within us. It is just as critical and fundamentally profound as love itself, they are an existing pair in duality and in tandem. The light does not exist without the dark, the trick is to navigate such a conception without falling prey to the overwhelming appeal or enticement of either, except that is authentically grounded in both truth and love.

I have SOOO many dreams (most become my horror stories lol) about hell, death, otherwordly Silent Hill nightmarish dreamscapes of my own world and town, ect. However, that blood moon stood out like nothing before, like a crimson spotlight awakening me from whatever plot my dreams were carrying me towards. That voice too, familiar yet completely alien 😈😎😇
I've always admired the Victorian Era with its wealth and classic music. The modern dark side of it as expressed in Dark Ambient music is most interesting and Dead Melodies mixed a fine collection. Example: "The Great Order of Things" creeps me out :)
The best parts about these videos are: 1. It all sounds like one song so you can never tell the difference. 2. This is an hour long so if you ever think of a scenario to put yourself in, and f_ck it up even the slightest, you have until the end of the video to rethink it.

Alright I start it:-
I don't know how to describe it, its beautiful yet terrific; snow covered mountains, frigid weather and frosty forests which rarely allows sunlight to break in.
Meat worm
It was pierced by a howl of an unearthly creature, before the night grew silent once more"
I am playing this music every morning welcoming my kindergarten students to classroom. The music brings calmness as they enter and play quietly waiting for class to begin. Thank you.
The way the acoustic guitar cuts through the rainy soundscape the very first time during "The Sacred Scroll" @ 33:51 is magical to say the very least.
Another amazing mix. Sacred Scroll is an all time favorite track for me now, right up there with Northumbria's The Night Wolves.
The dark atmosphere and disturbing sound is a great combination with the audio book...thank you for your creativity, please keep creating.💌
I think that, the Dead's melodies are connected with the deep spiritual transformation. ❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥
i imagine the old London, dark and full of crimes, especially the victorian era... with Jack the Ripper and Sherlock Holmes... love the music, thanks
Amazing!! Hauntingly beautiful! I play it in the background on all9 speakers in all the rooms with candles as I work on my writing on my PC……. TY
Sounds awesome
Another great compilation, Cryo Chamber.
Love the background. Now I want a game where I can explore the area and find something I wasn't meant to see.
kittyhorrorshows game series of haunted cities fits the vibe
Yeah, that game already exists. It's called "Thief." 😉
I love all the Bloodborne comments in here! My thoughts exactly while I was listening to this!
Я вожу игры по ДнД и часто беру музыку с этого канала, вы потрясающие ребята, удачи вам.
OMG!! This is great! Love it! More tracks from the Victorian era please!
Perfect ambiance for my autumnal reread of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
24:39 Atrium Carceri & Cities Last Broadcast - The Great Order of Things - I knew it! It`s from Song Of Horror. Episode 4 :The Last Consert! It so fit the creepy atmosphere of abandonned monastery... And now I know who wrote the game soundtrack ^_^
They were *CAPTIVATED.* Thanks, Cryo Chamber!
truly the mixes from this video greatly fuels my brain when it comes to writting, no other video does it better than this one
i just watched both Sherlock Holmes movies (RD jr. and Jude Law) this morning. fitting for a rainy Sunday. And then to discover this mix this afternoon accompanying me as i enjoyed a late lunch. splendid.
you made this sunday quite a nice one by sharing this.
thank you!
Pairs really well with Vampyr
Have yet to play it, it's on my list. What's the verdict?
@@cryochamberlabel I've replayed it a few times. Definitely in my top 5, atmosphere and combat system is great, storyline is awesome, the only thing I'd change is that you only get 5 xp for defeating common enemies each. I feel like if I have the opportunity to feed on them, I should get more. But I'm just nitpicking. Would recommend, especially this time of year 🎃🍁🍂
@@cryochamberlabel i played it , and I felt like game is more designed as you being a mage doctor not a vampire . It is still a good game tho, lots of good dialogue, great atmosphere and interesting combat system
Yes!
This could be the next background for bloodborne 2
I woudn't like to sound pretentious but IMHO this is one of the most successful CC compilations by far. Great work. Thank you ppl! 🖤
SHIA LABEAUF
A beautiful haunting melody, just perfect!
This was my ambience for Frankenstein's reading.
Thanks a lot for being a memories machine.
This is just perfect. Please please do more like this. I love it.
Thank you for not putting ads in here. Not sure why people make hour long peices to break it up by ads. So annoying.
Totally wasn't expecting the sound effects 😯, totally was not expecting them to focus me. Thank you for this.
Perfect for reading the Innistrad: Midnight Hunt story
Perfect for my upcoming October rereads of Dracula, Carmilla, Frankenstein, Dorian Gray, etc...
YO READIN THE SAME HELL YEa
2nd track is pure brain massage. and yeah, Really got some Thief vibes, which I admire. Awesome as always
Сколько слушаю разных авторов ... Этим шедевром не могу в полной мере. Насладится.. Не с кем сравнивать, на столько точно передан сюжет, не с чем даже сравнить. Сто баллов из ста❤
Summer finally over. Now its time to get spooky, and listen Cryo Chamber every night near a scented candle. My body is ready to autunm, and winter.
This summons pleasant feelings of dark nostalgia
Thanks for that dark Ambient !
reading "Its hard to be a god" and listen to this Ambient work is very atmospheric ! :)
Lmao! .... haven't heard of that one, but the title is funny.
Artwork reminds me so much of Fallen London. I'm sure the music will be an appropriate accompaniment.
A perfect ambiance to listen to when reading a Victorian mystery book. Thank you for a great upload and a great channel. Liked, subbed and belled.
What are some Victorian era fiction that you could recommend. I love mystery, thriller, drama, murder, any sort of human hunting creatures. Thanks in advance if you can suggest anything.
@@shawnsynnestvedt5292 I personally would recommend Lotm (Lord of the mystery). It is a great novel that incorporates mystery and horror in a brilliant way (though sometimes the horror parts of the novel are lacking consistency as they aren't that scary). You can go to novelupdates to see the review of the novel, in this way you can decide if you want to read it.
@@vincenzoyang684 thank you for the recommendation. I'll defintley check it out. Hope all is well.
thank you so much for this mix, listening on repeat. I'm currently writing a book and it creates just the right tone and vibe for my story
Oldie but goldie! Like this dark vibe throughout the whole mix
Stumbled on this music looking for a 'Limbo' soundtrack. I've since listened to a number of Cryo Chamber's other music sets, and i've found a few I do like, but this one sets the bar for me. Puts me in the 'zone' while working.
Love it! I love to listen to this when I work on horror novels in my spair time! The music helps me picture what's going in the particular scene when I write it out!
the first track of this is amazing
man, the first track alone is superb. Bravo!
Beatrice's Euphoria is a beautiful song, damn. And who else than wordclock was the artist.:) Great job...
This was a great inspiration for me
Surprisingly excellent background music for Agatha Christie novels. So eerie and suspenseful!
Great selection!! Thanks to this music I got in the right mood to finish my reading of Bram Stoker's Dracula!!
Propper Goffic luv. lol no but this is really cool operatic work, perfect fuel to write alongside for my dark urban fantasy story. 😄 Love the deep piano notes
I'm now working in my upcoming game "Curses 'N Abominations", programming in the late night, getting inspired to advance, thanks for sharing these incredible piece of art.
I'm not sure if people heard of this but I get alot of flash backs of "Thief" the game, it was a game that took a large inspiration from victorian age
Farewell Good Hunter, May you find your worth in the waking world.
I'm a writer and now I'm working on the story about mediavil, inquistion, envy and evil. It hadn't be something polysemical but after listening of that soundtracks I started change my story and now actually there will be a few analogies with Hitler or, considering situation in the world nowadays, maybe don't only with Hitler. Thank you guys. You are making my stories better)
Did you complete your book/story?
When your nightmares becomes so regular, it became your comfort zone
Wow far out man......... that could be disected and looked at a number of ways ...... 🤔..I like it.
Anyone see a blood red moon in their nightmares recently? With a deep voice in the shadows talking to you?
The best parts about these videos are:
1. It all sounds like one song so you can never tell the difference.
2. This is an hour long so if you ever think of a scenario to put yourself in, and f_ck it up even the slightest, you have until the end of the video to rethink it.
The world of soundtrack is the best.
Tonight, Gehrman joins the hunt.
This was delightful to listen to.
I play this while I play Vampire Masquerade on pc. Really heightens the experience.
Esse canal tem sempre as melhores músicas para se ouvir durante o trabalho. Ajudam na concentração e não são repetitivas.
Excellent upload! Perfect for reading classics or fantasy. Nice artwork too. Added to playlist!
perfect image and sound music
this is great i gotta study for finals and its a cold dreary day but this makes the weather feel perfect
Majestic! A hunter is a hunter, even in a dream. But alas, not too fast! The nightmare swirls and churns unending!
Perfect music to write a chapter that takes place on a dark, stormy day, where the characters into a dangerous situation.
I love this mix and the comment section
This playliat has devoured my soul. My everything. I belong to these songs - this beautiful glimpses into other worlds. I listen to this when I read
Her Soul To Take - Harley laroux.
Beautifully haunting ambience.
Perfect for my upcoming October rereads of Dracula, Carmilla, Frankenstein, Dorian Gray, etc...
Will be using this in my Bloodborne homebrew ty ty ty
This is amazing!
Yeah I really wish they'd stop, but they always find me,.....im starting to think the ones that made this sorta thing always happen, wanted it this way ...... almost like soviet camp kolymar......, the elements are not the same here, no it's the attention from the machines...., that will get yer house visited by intruders , like I always say, it's fine if you u already got the extra cash, or getting money from it, however if not having those 2? .....it seems to be creating a real life Gulag type scenario, ....lol! It's definitely a really fun subject to write ✍️ about.
Perfect background music for Bloodbourne.
