Led Zeppelin does SOUL MUSIC??? JESUS...I've been a Led Head for decades, yet I just discovered this by accident Fri night...its Sun morn & I can't turn it off!!! MY GOD THIS AWESOME!!!
Wow, I'm 59...and have been a zeppelin fan from song 1. I've never heard this song ever till today. And for today, it's going to be sunny 😎 and 83.. I knew it was going to be a wonderful start to a beautiful day.
I can't believe this song was never placed on any led zeppelin album, this is a great song. I still listen to it over and over. I love it just like all led zeppelin songs 🎵!!!!!
The first time I heard this song was15 years ago, when I was on vacation with my family in Los Angeles, Ca. We were leaving Universal Studios late at night, heading back to our hotel in Anaheim, listening to a LA Rock radio station. This song started playing, I said WTF and cranked it up. I looked at my wife and said, *Led Zeppelin?* I didn't hear it again until 5 yrs ago on UA-cam. *What a treat!*
And I thought I knew every Zep song ever made. I’m 52 years old and have been a Zep fan for 41 of those years and I never heard this song before. Love it love it love it! Best band ever!
Because it's a copy of another song, that's why. I agree though that they should have worked out a deal with the original writers and released it anyway.
"I got a woman wanna' ball all day." As do many lyrics from Zeppelin songs, this pops into my mind out of the blue on any occasion or random moment I might find myself in.
I have to say that 1.) I LOVE ME SOME ZEP! and 2.) This song helped me through a very difficult breakup years ago. I wish they were still making music. RIP John Bonham.
"If it don't touch my soul then I cant listen to it." True words have never been spoken this is one of those songs that touch your soul no matter what mood.
I really would have loved to hear Jimmy and The Black Crowes take a crack at this tune once upon a time.....it would have been simply magic I believe !! With Chris's voice and Eddie Harsch on the keys !! Delicious!!
ken glass nah the best band ever already did it, people sleep on jpj his organs and obviously bonzo is phenomenal+ jp you could not make this song better
Chris Robinson has a good voice, no doubt. But Robert Plant, especially '68--'71 Robert Plant, had a voice for the Ages...the power, the range, the grit, the soul....
BBC original recordings👊 fckn beyond- awesomeness 👌😉🙌 I use to play this in my party mix in my early 20's☺Zep is forever ageless eternal🖒👍 all theee above👆 wdsta1🙋✌
plants voice does not get any better than this. truly mind blowing. it's too bad he had to destroy his voice to give us these balls to the wall vocal performances.
This song was released officially. Once 1993 as a single for the 2cd Box set 2. And then on the complete studio recordings set added onto CODA. It was found in the trash labeled 'Yardbirds' Oct 10th 68
yes there is a 5.33 version that was released on a reissued cd single of Whole Lotta Love and im lucky enough to have a copy....this is by far Zeppelins best song as a whole its a masterpiece
There was a time I used to call you on my very own We were so happy, woman, talkin' for hours and hours on the telephone Then one day I set you up to walk right outta my life Leavin' me all by myself, all alone, to cry every night (Babe, babe, babe, babe, oh) Oh, I want you to come back home, yeah (Oh yeah) Sweet little girl (You been gone so long) You've been away so long Now listen to me I said I made up my mind, woman when you left me there, oh I was gonna find another sweet lover who's gonna feel all of my, all of my, all Of my cares So I met a sweet little girl just about as nice as she could be, oh I fell in love with that woman but she turned around, and did the same thing Again to me, whoa Oh baby, baby, please come home, home (Come on home) home, yeah, it's alright (Oh yeah) I know (Ya been gone too long) been away so long (Babe, babe, babe) I want you to please come home, oh (Oh yeah, ya been gone too long) So I made up my mind I gonna crawl right back to you woman I'm gonna plead and plead and plead, yeah 'Til you're here by my side I can't even walk down the same old streets we used to walk down Cause I keep thinking about all the good times Keep thinkin' about it I want to make you mine Oh, babe (Babe, babe, babe) Babe, babe, babe, please (Come on home) Please come home, yeah (Oh yeah, ya been gone too long) I want you to oh oh (Babe, babe, babe come on home) I want you to come back running home to me woman (Oh yeah) I want you to think about when we walk through the trees together (Ya been gone too long) You know we had such a real good time Whoa, here they come (Babe, babe, babe, come on home) I believe it's always calling Do you feel the brown leaf against your face you ought to sing and shout (Oh yeah)
I heard this on a oldies station I was driving and was waiting till the song ended to hear who the artist is. An idiot 18 wheeler blew his horn at me and I missed the DJ mentioning the name of the song after a few Choice words to the moron in the 18-wheeler it took me 6 months finally find this beautiful song I thought it was Sam Cooke I love Sam Cooke but Robin plant cooks Sam Cooke a$$ on this beautiful Melody absolutely stellar vocals and sound
Zeppelin does Gospel...! Aretha Franklin could have easily covered this successfully. They did a song in almost every genre, even Reggae (D'yer M'ker).
@@ivanynadamas366 There's a reason why you think that... the working title of this was "Tribute to Bert Berns" who died a year earlier. Berns wrote a version of this song in '64. Bert Berns also wrote "Piece of My Heart" which Janis of course covered - so you can see why Janis recording this would have worked. But Robert stands alone here. Fantastic recording.
little does everyone know that when all the beiber fans heard this they burst into flames right as they were about to hit the dislike button lol Music truly is Led Zeppelins domain
Posted in 2009, I'm listening in 2024. Zeppelin will definitely be heard until the end of time
Led Zeppelin does SOUL MUSIC??? JESUS...I've been a Led Head for decades, yet I just discovered this by accident Fri night...its Sun morn & I can't turn it off!!! MY GOD THIS AWESOME!!!
Pero, estás seguro que es Led Zeppelin?
Welcome...
@@salvadorgalvez4744 The song can be found on the CODA album. Theres a few outtakes through their years, including this one
Bonham's touch on that snare like petting a mink coat. Incredible.
Just recently found this song. I dont know how it took me so many years to find this. Beautiful song.
+Timothy Cox me too...lol I can't believe I missed it.

And can't stop listening to this now
Led Zeppelin fan my whole life, saw them in MSG in 77. Still the best concert I’ve ever seen and I saw them all. The GODS of rock and roll.

Saw Zep at MSG in 73, a day I will never forget! Love, love, love Zeppelin…RP, my first ever lust
Greatest band of all time. Past, present, & future.
Wow, I'm 59...and have been a zeppelin fan from song 1. I've never heard this song ever till today. And for today, it's going to be sunny 😎 and 83..
I knew it was going to be a wonderful start to a beautiful day.
Bonzo to Jimmy at 1:37 - " Can you give me the nod OKAY LOVE " . After 30 years of listening to this I found something new
This is my favorite track for robert. His vocals are PHENOMENAL!
Right?!!! He's front and center. And JPJ's organ is amazing too. God I love Led Zeppelin
Beautiful. Perfect.
Most underrated Zeppelin song.
Plant's voice at 4:54 gives me chills every time I heard it.
His voice was incredible back then ! I'm so glad I got to see him in those early years . 1970 MSG NY evening show - Best concert ever !
plants voice. unreal..

19...wow!
Yes raw unfiltered
20 years old
19 years old, unbelievable
Has become one of my favorites by Led Zepplin… totally different
I can't believe this song was never placed on any led zeppelin album, this is a great song. I still listen to it over and over. I love it just like all led zeppelin songs 🎵!!!!!
This song was an outtake from the Led Zeppelin 1 sessions in '68. They released a complete version on Coda, Deluxe.

We were leaving Universal Studios late at night, heading back to our hotel in Anaheim, listening to a LA Rock radio station. This song started playing, I said WTF and cranked it up. Definitely the best of all time hands down.
Love hearing Bonzo counting off. Rare treat.
We've done four already but now we're steady
@@zozepp8993 and then they went....
Top notch! They could do it all, heavy, soft, country or funky!the Mighty Zep!
This is why these guys were, are and forever will be THE GREATEST!!
phenomenal, an amazing group. There's never been anybody like them since
Heard this for the first time tonight and can't believe it. What an amazing song.
And I thought I knew every Zep song ever made. I’m 52 years old and have been a Zep fan for 41 of those years and I never heard this song before. Love it love it love it! Best band ever!
Why in the hell didn't this song find it's way onto a studio album? Plant knocks the vocals out of this world, reminiscent of SIBLY!!!
Because it's a copy of another song, that's why. I agree though that they should have worked out a deal with the original writers and released it anyway.
what song did they copy?
It's on the Coda Deluxe version put out a couple years ago.
John Cornell no fuggin way
I'm pretty sure they have a remaster with piano in the CODA album.
Perfection! Nobody can touch the sheer brilliance of LZ. RP's voice in this is amazing.
Zeppelin Takes It To Church!!
My favorite Zepp's song! sooo beautiful!
Aw man, John Paul Jones' a beast with his organ.
"I got a woman wanna' ball all day." As do many lyrics from Zeppelin songs, this pops into my mind out of the blue on any occasion or random moment I might find myself in.
Gives me chills every time I hear it. I think of Natalie. brings tears to my eyes.
I have to say that 1.) I LOVE ME SOME ZEP! and 2.) This song helped me through a very difficult breakup years ago. I wish they were still making music. RIP John Bonham.
Love , love , love U Robert Plant..pure beauty..
"If it don't touch my soul then I cant listen to it." True words have never been spoken this is one of those songs that touch your soul no matter what mood.
Probably the most underrated song ever, Considering it's not on any of their albums.
Zepp Mann it's in coda (deluxe edition)
Its on their last--CODA.
I believe it's on Coda. I could be wrong but....
It was originally on the minibox, then on Coda Deluxe.
100% agree
Good god! This is incredible! Plants voice just goes right through me. Damn!
Plant was still a baby...19 years old! Amazing!!!
He was 20 fool.

What a beautiful song my Lord!!! Tks a lot!!!
The drumming in this is superb
Good Lord God sprinkled more stardust on Robert at the moment of his conception! ❤
19 years old untrained uncoached no autotune, fuck me that guy was incredible
Indeed. An incredible gift from the Angels On High!
This is my ( soul) music anyone whoever listens would feel the same I believe
Plant's voice was simply beautiful
under-rated and under-played
Norm K ummmmmm i am the biggest led zeppelin fan and i just discovered this on the second box set!!!!!! I love it. Omg lol

Geniuses at work! Turned out to be a freaking awesome song. ✌️💞🎶🙏
I have always loved their version of this song....of course its been done by many. Robert was a blues man.
Best version. Best music. Love LED Zeppelin

Not even close to their best song but still a masterpiece. Almost every zep song is a straight masterpiece
Zep rules always have always will❤

This is great, october 68, the band was so new. Before LZ1 was even released or probably recorded, god I love youtube!
Led Zeppelin la banda mas grande del WORLD.....Aguante LZ ..from 🇦🇷 ( champion America)....salute
There was a time I used to call you on my very own
We were so happy, woman, talkin' for hours and hours on the telephone
Then one day I set you up to walk right outta my life
Leavin' me all by myself, all alone, to cry every night
(Babe, babe, babe, babe, oh)
Oh, I want you to come back home, yeah
(Oh yeah)
Sweet little girl
(You been gone so long)
You've been away so long
Now listen to me
I said I made up my mind, woman when you left me there, oh
I was gonna find another sweet lover who's gonna feel all of my, all of my, all
Of my cares
So I met a sweet little girl just about as nice as she could be, oh
I fell in love with that woman but she turned around, and did the same thing
Again to me, whoa
Oh baby, baby, please come home, home
(Come on home) home, yeah, it's alright
(Oh yeah) I know
(Ya been gone too long) been away so long
(Babe, babe, babe) I want you to please come home, oh
(Oh yeah, ya been gone too long)
So I made up my mind
I gonna crawl right back to you woman
I'm gonna plead and plead and plead, yeah
'Til you're here by my side
I can't even walk down the same old streets we used to walk down
Cause I keep thinking about all the good times
Keep thinkin' about it
I want to make you mine
Oh, babe
(Babe, babe, babe)
Babe, babe, babe, please
(Come on home)
Please come home, yeah
(Oh yeah, ya been gone too long)
I want you to oh oh
(Babe, babe, babe come on home)
I want you to come back running home to me woman
(Oh yeah)
I want you to think about when we walk through the trees together
(Ya been gone too long)
You know we had such a real good time
Whoa, here they come
(Babe, babe, babe, come on home)
I believe it's always calling
Do you feel the brown leaf against your face you ought to sing and shout
(Oh yeah)
