"Did he say sixteen?" - Yes, he said sixteen. Remember that this song was recorded in 1969 (in the UK where the age of consent is 16 but that's by the by) and the original was three decades before that. Its from a world far removed from cosy suburbia in the 2020s.
What can I say? Zeppelin is now and has always been and always will be the GOAT!!! No matter the song. When you’re done with Zeppelin you should check out Robert’s solo career. He has a bunch of great music also!!!! As always love your reactions. You two are fun!!!!
We originally had _The Girl I Love She Got Long Black Wavy Hair_ in this video, but UA-cam blocked it :-( Awesome song, which you can now find on our Patreon page!
Back in ancient times, when these Led Zeppelin albums were first released, if the song lyrics were not printed on the album cover or liner (paper envelope/sleeve that contained the actual vinyl record), we just listened to the songs over and over until we could catch them all. This was easier with some artists than others...😁
Now this is my mfing jam!!! My favorite of all time. Funny thing though, this was available bootleg for years. I heard it in college in the mid 80s. So by the time it hit the classic rock airwaves in the 90s we already knew it well. Keep rocking! Tim from Texas
Yes he did say 16. I was like haaaa???? But I guess in those days it was different, plus Robert was 19 or 20 when they made this song lol. Luv your videos guys, they are different then a lot of reaction videos out there. Rock on guys!!¡
I just came across this channel and I have to say that I am liking it so far. There are so many channels that seem to me to not actually appreciate the music and don't just over react and act silly. You both are certainly not like that and it is nice to see
Ok so I just discovered you two today and gotta say i really like your unique reaction format, you are obviously educated in music format and instrumentation which I really appreciate, I'm subbing for sure and look forward to more, cheers to you both and best of luck on the success of your channel.
“She ain’t but 16 but she’s my rider” well Robert was 19 at the time that was recorded and 16 was and still is the legal age in Britain so it checks out .
Is everyone absolutely sure the backing vocals on song #1were just the band? Amazing if so, they never reproduced a backing vocal sound like that that I am aware of? I absolutely love TRSB, loved it the 1st time I heard it, this song should have gone on LZ III imho, would have fit nicely!
can't believe you didn't take the time to listen to robert johnson's original. led zep was my favorite band in the early eighties and those of us who knew also bought the robert johnson stuff. had the led zep full patch hindenburg logo on my jean jacket. hell i had robert plants hair.
Mike your outfit in the thumbnail is just meant to be. You look too good in it, hello 1969. Apologies but I have never heard either of these songs before. I preferred the second one ‘Travelling riverside blues’ had another great rhythm to it. Thank you for the education.
So its not a very unique song so in other words anybody can sound like Robert Plant you are saying? I don't think anybody could of done this song like LZ did!

Led Zeppelin’s diversity is unmatched

pretty sure that part was written by robert johnson
a rider is a young girl the guys used to take on the road when they toured. It was the "norm" in the south from robert johnsons days.
As usual, Zeppelin always ahead of their time. Just as fresh today as all those years ago. In other words, timeless.
They put Traveling Riverside Blues as a single play tape + 45 , did well enough to be on the top ten charts !
What can I say? Zeppelin is now and has always been and always will be the GOAT!!! No matter the song. When you’re done with Zeppelin you should check out Robert’s solo career. He has a bunch of great music also!!!! As always love your reactions. You two are fun!!!!
Ahhhhhhh more fabulous Zeppelin!
I also rediscovered LZ about 5 years ago by finding a copy of the BBC sessions in the bargin CD bin at Walmart...
live from bbc sessions, love this track!
what a tune/what a band... Led Zep, unlike me, GETS BETTER W/ AGE, and they were great to begin with.
Excellent channel! PEACE.
Saw them live in 1972,unbelievable
That organ in the first song!!! Thanks for remembering these tunes for your reactions :-)
I had these plus many others on vinyl in the early 80s. These songs were well known on bootlegs long before they were officially released.
IN MY TIME OF DYING
LIVE at Earl's Court 1975

I LOVE THAT SONG

And gave us some great misheard interpretations. :)

BBC allowed at the time to overdub right after the live take right before the broadcasting
i love your channel, you two are goofballs, i like that.
Guilty as charged

I don't think Robert Plant is writing about himself in this. It's an older blues theme.
@@heliotropezzz333 Yeah the lyrics and blues form were from the original song.

There's a official video of this song should check out

Thank you so much, and welcome aboard!

Wanted to recommend the material from the Madison Square Garden concert. Try Stairway to Heaven from the Madison Square Garden concert,1973.
Gospel.
2 of my best go to zep tunes 🤘❤️yup he said 16🤭
Led Zep taking you to church....
I like your face superimposed with Percy's hair, something about that looks cool rather than just silly.
Right? When I looked on that finished product, I was thinking, "Damn!"
This song, Baby come on home was literally found in the trash.
SUGGESTION:
Alone again, naturally - Gilbert O'sullivan

hell i had robert plants hair.
T R B is on the B side of Whole lotte love 45.
I want to say Redhouse by Hendrix and Statesboro Blues by the Allman Brothers use similar themes from this Robert Johnson song.
Mike your outfit in the thumbnail is just meant to be. You look too good in it, hello 1969.
Apologies but I have never heard either of these songs before. I preferred the second one ‘Travelling riverside blues’ had another great rhythm to it. Thank you for the education.
I didn't think I could pull off blonde, but I am now officially fantasizing about being Robert Plant.
I play harmonica he could have killed it on my his one
Why the hell is there a female face superimposed on Jimmy Page's body in the photo ?
So any drummer could play like Bonzo , or sing like Plant, and Jones and Page , were apparently very average ?
The guy obviously doesn´t get the lyrics at all
So its not a very unique song so in other words anybody can sound like Robert Plant you are saying? I don't think anybody could of done this song like LZ did!
