    That tip with the piece of tape is superb. I’m 58 in May and my eyes feel every year of that so I’ll be using that tip from now on.

    I appreciate your video style. You cover details (e.g. torque settings); put important info in text (for avoidance of doubt); set out the tool types needed; & speak clearly without rushing.

    I just used your instructions to install my upper crash bars this morning. You explained things so well and slowly enough that I only had to pause and go back a couple of times, but that wasn't because of your video, it was just to make sure I was following your instructions correctly, especially with removing and reinstalling the bolts from the block. That tape trick was so helpful!. Great video Coach Bob. Thank you.

    Hi Thank you for a great video. I’m going to fit some )new type) Triumph upper tank and engine bars to a Triumph Tiger 850 sport (This the ever so slightly smaller engine version of the Tiger Gt and Rally Pro. (850 Engine is slightly detuned but actually the same CC to allow for further Uk detuning to power restricting for new riders) Your video is very informative and helpful. Thank you. Dave

    Great video. Wanted to say I just installed mine and maybe the kits have been updated so wanted to pass a couple minor edits. Holes on crash bars that light wires run through are larger then what the old grommets can support, new larger grommets are provided. Also appears the crash bar kit has a new one piece grommet for the black support bracket vs using two piece grommet setup that comes with light relocation kit.

    Enjoyed the video. I'm also doing the install. I'm finding that the fog light connectors barely fit through the front mounting bracket grommet. I've observed there's more slack if the connectors are routed forward in the bracket to meet the fog light connector. but unsure if there's increased chaffing risk.. The path illustrated in the instruction will put stress on the wires (, at least on my bike). Did you or anyone else notice a length issue with the fog light source wires and consider routing forward to connect to the fog light leads? I've pulled things apart to ensure the wires are not pinched anywhere. Just seems a little short. Video was very helpful . Update: I found more wire - the fog light wires were wrapped around a harness. Once unwrapped, there was sufficient length through the grommet.

      @CoachBob3  Рік тому +1

      You discovered the same thing that I did. The wire was there it just took a bit of effort to get it all "usable". Thanks for watching and commenting.

    I was looking to see if you created a video for install of Lower Crash bar on the TIGER 900 RP - couldn't find it?

    • @CoachBob3
      @CoachBob3  Рік тому

      I did not. It came with the lowers installed. I have taken them off and put them back on before. It is very simple. I would estimate a 20-25 minute job at most.

    Hi coach Bob... my crash bars and the fog lamp relocation kit has arrived today. I will follow your video and install the crash bars this weekend. Thank you very much for this detailed video. Can you please share the link for the torque wrench. I will have to purchase it for the install. God bless you.

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I am glad the video helped. You're gonna have a ball installing them. I love doing this type of thing. Here's a link to Lowe's. They have a good price on it. I think most of the common brands are all pretty good.

      I tried to install the crash bars today but damaged the threads of the nut that goes in the engine suffrage. I am scared how to fix this thread issue now. The threads were super tight and were not going inside. I applied little more torque and the bolt got stuck in the frame. Gradually removed the bolt. I will call the dealership on Tuesday to see what are my options. Any recommendations?

    I also had the Outback motortek bars on my triumph. I just removed them and will go with the OEM bars. Do you remember the torc spec for the 2 front engine mount bolts, the ones under the silver plates. Really appreciate it if you have that.

      Isn’t that a joy to reinstall. You have to make sure you don’t slide off the threaded mounting clips
      Or move them out of position. Once you get the position right you wiggle the beak back on

      Triumph’s Version 1 of the upper bars did not have the third mounting point. Those were a real problem.
      I am hoping the third point will increase rigidity and resolve that problem. Only time will tell.
