    Great vid. I got a new 2023 900 RP, went on my very first moto off road, camping trip...3 miles in, I had 2 issues. 1. The shift lever shaft FELL OFF. (??) I adjusted it higher, for my new boots to be able to get under in order to shift, tighted up the nuts, but it was at the very end of the threads ...rattled it off.... gone.. 2. on way back to the dealer, (and trying to shift by using my hands to push it down and pull it up to get into higher gears..... I did not feel that my new boot's toe...was barely on the rear brake, riding the rear brake, (couldn't feel that at all!) and it ended up blowing the seals, scortching, and scoring the rotor, screwing up the brake calipers etc. $600 in parts...and..I"m guessing ( $600 in labor?? $150/hr X 4hrs) for at least a $1200 total newbie idiotic, moronic mistake, and of course ending my dream moto trip to Joshua Tree with all my gear loaded on the bike etc, and Uber back to my house. Other than that it was a fun day........... Anyway, learning my new bike, chain drive and the rest of it so thanks for your videos, super helpful and I'll be watching every single one of them.

    Thank you! If you’ve never had anyone to show you how to do this can be intimidating. Not anymore! Great videos and they seem to get better and better.

      Awesome!!! I am so glad it helps. Knowledge on these small things can save our bacon when we are out in the wilderness somewhere.
      Thanks for watching.

    Great videos, as always. I don't suppose you could do one on changing the rear brake pads on your 900 rallypro? On the bike. I've looked everywhere and there isn't one. My current thinking is to follow this video and remove the wheel to get to them. Thanks

    On my 2002 Rally Pro the nut is on the other side, other than that this was a great help, I just changed out my read brake pads, thanks for the tips!

    Hey Bob - thanks for this, I've removed the rear wheel from my '21 Tiger GT Pro a few times prior, but today, when I couldn't get the danged thing back on after a new tire (Dunlop Trailmax Raid, replacing a MIssion) I had to rewatch your vid to see why I couldn't get it back on the damn bike...ended up using a prybar (gently) to spread the swingarm just enough to coax it back into place. I think the cush-side hub wasn't compressing enough to get the needed ~1/8"...thought I had flipped the spacers or something. Anyway - thanks very much for the specs!

      Amazing video, I’ve watched this several times and it really helped. Having the same problem with a tight rear. The brake on the right side is a real pain and definitely needs another 1/16 or so. Would be great if you could show that part of how you got those brake calipers and assembly in place and into between the spacer and swing arm. The pry bar trick helped me too.

    Looks pretty simple. Even a "Dave" could do it. 😆

    The axle has a strange head on the right side that does not accommodate a socket set, it is flat on two sides and rounded on two sides. How do you tighten the left side nut to put wheel back on without that thing spinning round and round? That’s what happened to me.

    • @CoachBob3
      @CoachBob3  Рік тому +2

      The right hand side sits in a groove that keeps it from spinning.
