Recently bought a pair. Love them. Pocket set up is excellent. Mobile, wallet, notebooks are swallowed up with room to spare. Velcro closure works and the expandable section at the back makes for the perfect fit. The rear pockets are just incredible.

Hi LTS My best guess is NO. He specifically mentions the small flapped front pockets are good for a phone. They are. Mine fits snugly but it's a Samsung with a slim case. I don't think it will take an "Otterbox" but you do have tons of other pockets to choose from.
Excellent review, just made me subscribe to your channel! I'm a huge fan of Helikon-Tex, I have 3 UTP 11" shorts and 2 normal UTPs, but I never realized the two inside pockets!!! Thanks to your video for bringing those to my attention!

Thanks very much. I ordered a pair after watching your video. A bit more expensive than my 5.11's but my mother in law, a seamstress, says they are well constructed.
I’m pleased the video helped! They are very well made... Lasted so much longer than other pants I have owned.
I kept seeing knock off versions of this that are named "IX7" and i finally found the original ones with this video.
I’m glad the video helped.
I’ve also seen knock off products that actually use parts of this video… I remember one day scrolling through Instagram and thinking “Hey, those are my arms!” 😂😂😂

Very nice review. How robust is the waist velcro above the front zipper? I'd imagine it would get frayed and ineffective in short order as opposed to simply having a button or snap closure.

Before I bought the trousers, the Velcro above the zipper was a concern of mine too! But so far, even my oldest pair (Over a year old) of UTP's are still going strong!
What do you use to stuff?, I find a rolled up pair of socks doesn't do the trick anymore!

I’m 30” in the leg.
34” waist.
I see they don’t do a 30” length in the leg.
I could get them taken up I suppose.
How’s the waist on them?

I'm lookin at gettin some new work trousers I normally purchase snickers work wear. I'm lookin to get these as there cheaper and are basically work trousers. Are the utp comfy
These trousers are really comfy! Like you I'd buy work wear from the likes of Snickers & Dickies, but now I only wear UTP's!

Brill that's what I wanted to here from you great. I've gone from site work to maintenance work. So using snickers with the pockets I find there not needed. But as you was a snickers man like my self. Its comforting to no you approve of the utp trousers. I'm also army reservists so they may come in handy for a bit of adventure training as well. I like well fitted trousers I have the fjallraven kebs there brilliant. Only problem i think my self is the belt loops on the rear i find the belt rides up to easy for a exspensive pair of kecks
I also do a lot of outdoor activities in these trousers. From off roading to shooting, walking and camping/survival... really can’t beat them.
If I could only one one particular set of trousers, it wold be these.
There’s a few different fabrics you can buy the UTP’s in... I stick with the Ripstop!

I would advise a size up as these are quite a snug by design.
If you order from Military1st.co.uk they include free returns. The 1st time I ordered, I got the wrong size. Sent them back, and ordered the right size for me.

How is the inner thigh to crotch area? does it have some stretch into it?
It doesn’t have any stretch, but it has a shaped gusset.
I’m an active guy and I wear them for work and all my outdoor hobbies... I never feel restricted by them.
I do believe tho, that Helikon have just released some new UTP’s with 4 way stretch in the crotch and lower back areas.

This pants color khaki or coyote?
The ones I unpack in this video are Khaki. (If I’m honest, I prefer the colour of the Coyote!)

They hold up o in the rain, but if its a big down pour they will get soaked through. I do find they dry reasonably quick though!
