The newest Apache "Guardian" is supposed to be able to control and even engage with it's own integrated UCAVs? I'm not saying it isn't accurate/realistic for it to only carry those 4 weapons. I'm speaking from the position of a simulation user, concerned about the lack of depth, diversity, and replay value in a module with such a narrow, fixed loadout when everything else in DCS has literal pages worth of various munitions, when said module will no doubt be the standard $60-$80+ that the much more diverse other airframes are charging.

Besides ED modeled the WPN page without the Flare counters above the chaff. I think I seen one Apache cockpit that didn't had the CMDS switch but had a CMWS CIU panel installed, so I'm not sure yet about it's implementation.
I really want to get the huey, should i do it know or wait until the apache gets release for pre order to maybe get a discount? Do you think its possible, helis are gonna get discounted this month?
You will most likely have to wait another year or two before there are even any pictures of the module published, so grabbing the Huey right now during the sale is the right thing to do. In fact, check all the available helicopter modules for free while it lasts and decide for yourself.
0:21 I see you have gotten used to community standards rather quickly. 2:40 So I'm not the only one who uses Cruise rarely or not at all (as a Longbow Gold virtual pilot so far :D) 3:46 Actually there is a reason. There's actually one thing you press which is some kind of cover. If you flip it up it's on top of the weapon release button and triggers that and the gun trigger button is recessed so you can't accidently squeeze it. If you flip the cover down, it acts as the trigger you pull that pushes the actual trigger button in. You can see that in DCS when switching to cannon IIRC. The Bf-109 and FW-190 have a similar stick concept BTW. So basically having 2 different buttons in DCS is a DCS thing.
A very interesting video, but... Can i buy this Stick from thrustmaster or another? I think no..., Only without the real stick I can't do anything with the information.
Massive thanks for the vid, I was floored the first time I saw the Apache collective. Good to know there's a good reason for the weirdness. =) Is the trigger system on the Ka-50 is that weird, don't most US combat aircraft (fighters and attack planes at least...) have separate triggers and weapon release buttons? And having a flip down trigger for weapon release, like many Russian planes seem to have, makes some sense to me as an additional safety, at least you won't pull it by accident when it's up.
What would be the point for having two buttons do the same thing? I guess that’s my point. If I can only action one weapon at a time... why have two buttons fire? In the Kiowa and the Apache both, the cyclic has 1 switch to fire. In the Kiowa- thumb switch. Apache- trigger. Different considerations for jets but I can’t speak for them.
@@CasmoTV Yeah, I can see that point as well. The one thing I can think of would be something like "accidentally firing a missile/rocket is a bigger deal than accidentally squeezing off a couple of autocannon rounds", but shrug. =)
Yeah but you gotta be a world class moron to accidentally action a weapon, lift the cover and fire the weapon. 🤷🏻♂️ that being said I know a guy who did it...
@@CasmoTV There's a cover on the trigger in the Apache? That'd definitely take out a reason to have them be separate buttons. I don't know for sure how the gun is selected in it, but to my understanding the Ka-50's gun trigger is not guarded, but the other weapons require you to flip down the weapon release trigger.
Ohh, come on, BUCS isn't that difficult... Just start with the primary and utility (backup) hydraulic systems feeding 4 individual servos at 3000psi. Each servo has an internal RAM LVDT and each Pilot and CPG flight controls (long, lat, col, and dir) have there own LVDT for positioning. As well as the Pilot col potentiometer that is partnered with the LDS (engines). Now, if your flying along and a control is stuck (Pilot or CPG overpacked their lunch or someone forgot the 2" wrench on the R/TRU), either the controls ARDDs will roll out, the servo shear pin breaks, or both, the aircraft goes to a fly-by-wire based off of the positions the LVDTs are feeding into the FMC. *Also, as a side note, releasing the trim will also release the pedals and not just the cyclic. (nitpick)* Edit: bad, bad grammar
Flying with new CPG is gonna be like. -What the hell have you done to the engines, they are at damn IDLE! Have you pressed the CHOP button? -Yeah, but the katana is still there in the cockpit, something went wrong. -Katana? -I'm a Japaneese guy, i thought that when i press the CHOP button it will release the katana from the holder and drop it like bomb on taliban's head. Wanted to chop him! But anyway, we just descended right on him and the rotor blade cut off hes head, so at least we haven't wasted my katana. -We have wasted the whole helo!

(Whenever man)
I need more buttons.
And we haven’t even gotten to the TEDAC.
@@CasmoTV I need buttons for my buttons.

0:21 I see you have gotten used to community standards rather quickly.
2:40 So I'm not the only one who uses Cruise rarely or not at all (as a Longbow Gold virtual pilot so far :D)
3:46 Actually there is a reason.
Interesting observation on the switches. Still seems overdone. The Apache has a switch cover too. Idk... I would have come up with a better way lol.
Apache module comes out in 2 weeks lol
Sorry as I may have completely missed this but the Apache module is coming out in two weeks?
It’s a joke
Two weeks™ yes
@@CasmoTV damn actually got hyped a bit for a moment.
But where is the TEDAC video?
When it comes out
@@CasmoTV You tell me!
… when the module comes out…
Two weeks for the release? wtf
I think he was joking ;)
@@nh6central yep XD
A very interesting video, but...
Can i buy this Stick from thrustmaster or another? I think no...,
Only without the real stick I can't do anything with the information.
That’s a very narrow view but I guess everyone has an opinion.
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if either Virpil or VKB, maybe even TM would come up with some Apache controllers at some point :D
Massive thanks for the vid, I was floored the first time I saw the Apache collective. Good to know there's a good reason for the weirdness. =)
Is the trigger system on the Ka-50 is that weird, don't most US combat aircraft (fighters and attack planes at least...) have separate triggers and weapon release buttons?
Yeah guarded.
2 more veeks !
Don’t believe everything you hear.
@@CasmoTV i don’t. That’s the joke. But you just have to be an old il2 pilot to get the reference 😉
(nitpick)*
Edit: bad, bad grammar
Wait, how many weeks? 😂
do i need the FMC Disconnect Button?
Nah
@@CasmoTV thx! xD i used it in my first flight and i was totaly lost of control. Now i know how to setup the FMC again if disconnected.
*sweats in not enough buttons on HOTAS*
Modifiers are your friend.
@@CasmoTV when half the buttons on your HOTAS end up as modifiers :)
Update when you're not busy please! 😉
So if Thrustmaster get around to building an AH-64 HOTAS, there're going to be around AU$1,500 a pop given the complexity of those sticks. 😉🤣
Let’s hope not!
in 2 weeks?
Or Soon™
Yes, pre-purchase. Not fly.
It’s all a joke anyhow guys. Two weeks is a long standing DCS meme.

Just don’t zig when I try to zag!
Surely they can shave off a week for Valentine’s Day? This programming business can’t be that hard...
Seems simple enough.
Should of dropped this video on April fools day 🤣
