_Yes, there is trauma, there's a bit of gut punch in the heart of this film, but is also a lot of joy at the start and is also a lot of defiance at the end. To tell stories, in some level, to be an artist, is to name your pain, and when you tell a story you can kinda shape it. And there's something healing about that._

Love this. The Long Goodbye really got to me and it's still hard to watch but I feel that this is what makes it so good,. So happy it's getting all this recognition, hopefully all the way to Oscar night :)

it really opens the eyes of the Asian community too .we all feel this otsider feeling and cope with it in different ways,by trying to whitewash ourselves or being indifferent.but this movie expresses the community in honestly a fresh and easy way for everyone to understand where we are from and who we really are.we are just human like the rest ,with the same problems as you.i hope schools and people of different beliefs and parties and backgrounds see this.so far i have to say riz ahmed in encounter and now this has made me want to keep an eye out for his work. i have tremedous respect for him.all asians ,please get educated ,read books and follow his work!

I had watched Sound of Metal way back and found it quite intriguing till the very end...
But this small film is on whole another level... Felt goosebumps the way the tone shifted from "Happy go Lucky" one moment to "Horrific"another moment when the house got busted...
Great work guys and loved the communication of idea to the audience in the last segment...

Why did hasan pronounce Ahmed like that ..
