I don’t know as a British Asian with similar roots as Karia and Ahmed, I felt the short film was way over the top, and on the nose. Definitely wasn’t inclusive of other immigrant stories of Britain either.
I mean why does it have to be inclusive of other immigrant groups stories though? But I do kind of agree with the over the top comment however I understand that’s what they were going for.
@@greeze4685 When I mean other immigrant stories, I mean the inclusion of South Asian Hindus and Sikhs, as it wasn’t only the South Asian Muslims that faced extreme racism and violence in England especially during the 70s-80s after Enoch Powell’s River of Blood speech and even now these groups collectively face exclusion and vilification although it has become more passive aggressive. Just my 2 cents after watching the short film alongside other South Asian friends.
And it would also be extremely natural to show them living in the same community, as this is a common occurrence throughout the UK. In fact their exclusion seemed unnatural.
