I'm currently obsessed with Riz Ahmed (in a rational way); I find The Night Of truly hypnotic; the cast is incredible; but Riz' character is the centerpiece, and man, does he nail it. A star is born; and what an actor!
Oh he was born a long time ago for those of us who wached British Television! ;)
Not many in the US heard of Riz before TNO, maybe through the films Nightcrawler and Four Lions. Only those who have BBCAmerica might have first noticed Riz in the series BRITZ. The series was on BBCA the same time it was shown in the UK.
I've been a fan for many years, my point was that most American viewers didn't know who Riz was before TNO. From the initial info for the series, many viewers thought Riz was a rapper who just started acting, there was a lot of misinformation out there. Viewers were also shocked he was a Londoner, his working class Queens NY accent in TNO was impeccable.

What a wonderful conversation between two articulate and dedicated performers. Riz seems easily adaptable in many situations, it must be that 'code switching' he's always talking about. Riz supposedly has friends from all walks of life. You can see from his many interviews, he's engaging, charming and interested in what others have to say. Hope he stays grounded and remains a curious human being. We never stop learning!
I love both actors, and I watched many Riz Ahmed's movies before he became famous in the United States. And the positive comments prove what amazing people these two are, it's the most clean UA-cam comments section that I've seen.

Riz Ahmed is my everything love you man
I had to look up their ages. They are the same age, and that usually doesn't matter, but who knows maybe it factors into why this convo between two people that just met (!!!) feels like observing the best, most insightful, most genuinely engaged convo between two future old friends. Or maybe in addition to being two of my fav actors of the moment, they are also both amazing people capable of giving all of themselves to whomever they are engaging with in the moment. I guess it all kind of goes hand in hand! The best Actors on Actors ever!
I LOVE these two both won emmys for these performances! The processes are extremely professional, their honest talent and intelligence show supreme mutual respect, they're truly equals.
Man I'm a huge fan of Riz and I bingewatched all of The Handsmaid's Tale last week, this pair is perfect!

Just saw this interview on PBS, it was much shorter, it was barely 15 minutes. Wonder why it was cut for TV. Possibly because they had to cram in about five other interviews in one hour! Glad this was posted here on UA-cam! Elisabeth and Riz definitely have chemistry, hope they work together someday.

I love these two. So talented and down to earth. I really enjoyed 'The Night Of' and im about to start watching 'The Handmaids Tale' soon. I know ill love it too. Its amazing how Elizabeth Moss's voice and laugh sound just like Dakota Fanning.

I love these two. OMG, I shooshed Elisabeth Moss one day without looking. LOL!!! I felt bad immediately. I was shooting an interview and she walked in, not seeing we were shooting (to her defense) and was talking loudly and laughing. She is so sweet and very talented. She totally got quiet and quietly apologized.

Budji Tresvalles, Riz is with a woman named Anya Raza, she's Pakistani and Dutch, she's white with red hair. IIRC, they've been together about 3-4 years, there's varying info as to exactly when they met. For some reason, Riz keeps her on the down low. Ms Raza accompanies Riz to show business events, yet is never photographed with him. Riz didn't even acknowledge her in his EMMY acceptance speech, it's all very strange. Heard they married in March of this year. Wonder how much longer Riz thinks he can keep her a secret, especially as she might be pregnant. She can be seen in the Swet Shop Boys AAJA video.

Ussamah, Riz is either in a long term relationship or is actually married to a woman named Anya Raza. At a forum someone posted they were married. Riz is keeping his relationship from the media. He's been with this woman a few years, yet never brings her on the red carpet. Fans have seen him with her. It's all very weird.

Like it's none of our business leave him to eat if he wants to be in a relationship or not and more importantly if he wants people to know about. So once agin it's none of our business stop stalking him, it's abit creepy knowing stuff like that. Leave him to it and one day when he wants to it'll all come out. If not Ohwell that's his choice. Riz keeping his relationship secret has NOTHING to do with fans “stalking” him. His fans wanting to know is not “creepy” Surely you must be aware that any celebrity’s fanbase wants to know the celeb's marital status OR whether they are straight or gay? It's human nature.
Besides being an actor/rapper, Riz is a very vocal political activist. 95% of his social media posts are about social issues and politics. If fans think he’s lying about his relationship status, they will wonder if he lies about other things he talks about. Understand that?
By presenting himself as single to his many fans, he’s doing this to get more female fans, that’s how publicity works for young attractive actors. If Riz reveals he’s in a LTR or is married, it might actually hurt his career, especially as he now has many younger fans through Rogue One and The Night Of.
His behaviour, hiding his relationship, is quite disingenuous. He’s intelligent enough to realize this.
