I made a mistake during video. The plate you remove where Laser Module goes is a Z Axis extension plate. This can be used if bottom is remove and you need to work on larger projects. This was clearly stated in paperwork and brought to my attention by Rich the @LaHobbyGuy.
Another great video! I ordered the 30/10 today, I am very excited. Got to learn lightburn, old man jumping into the learning curve. I like the music you add.
I'm waiting for my 10/20 Watt to arrive. It's supposed to be here today. Keeping my fingers crossed FedX gets it here in one piece 😮 it was lost in a California Hub for a week. 😢 I'm sure it's ok?? Anyway I can't wait to start using it I had another I returned to the Jungle known as Amazon. That was a Joke no enclosure wire management looked like a Pasta restaurant after an earthquake. It was the Phedeca from the company that makes the Saturn Resin printer. Been looking for ideas you have definitely made some great stuff with this machine.
You must exhaust the fumes out a window or use a good fume extractor box in doors, I would only recommend buying a good exhaust fan and ventingout side. The 1 fan included with the Roly is pretty small to exhaust correctly. Something with 195 cfm or greater and removing the included fan at rear of machine.
Hey man just wanted to let you know the question mark in your affiliate link for the laser interrupts the link so it's sending people to the site without giving you credit for it. For affiliate links with question marks in them you should usually write them with a encoded ? Basically you just replace the question mark with the code %3F that way it will come out all as a single URL instead of breaking it up at the question mark... Hope that helps... Sometimes it's better to use something like bitly to make a short URL and also track the traffic
@@3DHP Thanks for the quick reply. Could you do an update video on those when you get to it? I haven't found anywhere on Roly's site that has the max Z.
You would have to check the website, but I think it has a switch from 10 watt to 30 watt.Mine is 10 / 20 watt. With the chuck you can grab the inside or outside of an object, even rings. Tapered objects will work fine, just adjust your setting in Lightburn to make it look right.

Your going to love it.
So if I want to engrave on ink pens, I have to have the roller attachment, right
You can have a template or jig to hold them in place to do 1 side or the other. I have done wooden pencils, but not sure about doing plastic pens.
@@3DHP oh ok thanks
With the air assist, can you get away with not venting? I know it's not recommended.

Thank you, a few weeks ago I realized there was a problem. The code with the question part is correct now.
What is the max Z depth that this can cut? Without using the Z extension. To clarify, X and Y are approx 400x400. What's Z? Thanks!
I have not done any material thickness tests on cutting yet.

@@star_wyvern You could also check there Facebook groups.
You pointed out this 20w model is actually a 10/20w machine (very nice). Is the 30w a 10/20/30w?
