Yeah - although of course I’m joking a bit ;). But it’s ones thing to net deck a meta deck (which I totally understand), and quite another to spam Boros Convoke in BO1 (especially when already at Mythic). The truth is BO1 doesn’t have a whole lot of ways to deal with Boros Convoke, outside of playing Control. Although I’m trying tricks (as you can see) to help!
I found myself liking Quick Study or whatever over Thirst for Discovery. I know you see one more deep which is better later game but in my Djinn deck I found most of the time I wanted to keep my land and the times I didn't draw a land it felt bad discarding two, so I took the give/take of one less deep for always getting 2. Granted in this deck the curve is so low it's probably never a problem, but it's just one of those lines of thought that make me love magic so much

Love it I subbed out ledger shredder for the loremaster. Took put an island and an impossible and added two slip out the backs. Works pretty well. There's a learning curve for sure
Nice! Yeah - probably some alternatives. The connive griffin guy could be cool too! Agreed the deck takes some practice to pilot, especially related to when to draw that extra card or not and take the penalty! Haha
@@MythicMichaelledger shredder is better than the adventure faery by far. He's single handedly won games.but I'm thankfully you showed a way to make it work. I've been climbing back in myhtic
Yeah, may be nice add - I went back and forth! I liked the instant speed of adventure faerie adventure, but good chance ledger is the way! Especially if you don’t use Loremaster - since that’s the only reason you need instant and flash speed things :)
People keep saying that haha. I literally play Sheoldred 1/40 games personally. Weird. Although bouncing and flying over could still work in theory - he is definitely a good counter to this deck haha
i think if you use Make Disappear instead of spell pierce, you can counter the sheoldred after the bounce and help since there is no removal. Make disappear is more versatile for only 1 more mana@@MythicMichael
Great deck, I’m trying the budget mono white one right now and it rocks, long shot here but a series of one mono budget deck for each color excluding cards from the next rotation would be incredible!
Nice to see an interesting blue deck that isn't just counterspells. They are the most unfun aspect of magic and leave the other playing just doing nothing so thanks I might try that one.

Love seeing people play mono blue without djinn. im a mono blue main for years for budget reason but i finally had enough blue to homebrew and i made a mono blue this rotation instead of netdecking and i think you might like it if you are loving this. @@MythicMichael hey its definitely not a big deal. I think it's more the game itself rather than the deck. It never drew anything needed or useful at any time and that feels more like the game itself rather than the deck.

Interesting. Yeah decks in current meta are all about countering certain decks. Dinos probably is bad matchup, but I haven’t played it for a while! Check out my “Problem with Boros Convoke” video where I talk about the meta issue.
The other problem card is Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. The lack of removal in this deck makes that card a killer to this deck if it makes onto the opponent’s battlefield.
Agreed. Hope is to bounce him and win through air, but if you face Shelly a lot probably an issue. I have a Blue/White version of Eidetic a few decks back that probably would be better vs Shelly and Removal, because it has a ton of lifegain and disturb! :)

If not, Try Ledger Shredder instead of loremaster, which is a more aggro version :) *UPDATE: Just went 4-2 with this Blue deck at 98 percent Mythic. So seems to be doing ok! Maybe matchup dependent.

Check out my Blue/White version of Eidetic a few back which may have more answers (lifelink helps with Shelly). Also making a Dimir Eidetic soon (Black is nice add for Bat and removal for this issue!)

Is a great card! Will buff faerie, but not Eidetic, since Eidetic checks before attacks though! :)

Deck is great until they drop a Sheoldred and there’s no way to completely remove it and you’re screwed.
That’s why I run “Eaten By Piranahs” and “Invoke The Winds”
I didn’t run into him much personally. But bounce and fly over him would be the best bet! :)
I wasn't aware that "invoke the wind" existed. Stealing a sheoldred sounds bonkers with all the card draw provided by the deck 😂

If this isn’t working well for you, try the Blue/White version of Eidetic a few back. Been playing that version more and is winning at Mythic for me!
