Agree. The double bladed saber is not really needed early on as single saber puts out more damage and is better for early game. You want to use single blade most of time until you start getting bigger groups of harder enemies. Then you will want to switch between the single and double. Hold X (with skill purchased) to do a special attack that automatically switches between the 2 with a special combat move. I would just stick with where the story brings you and follow the quest lines, much more enjoyable once i finally got to Dathomir naturally to acquire the double blade.
I got the double bladed light saber at Dathomir before I go to Zeffo, it's helpful in earlier at in the game… But I know what happen to Bogano those emotional moment to about Cordova light saber… But actually single light saber is more aggressive offence than double bladed , but double bladed is helpful for few enemies.
Actually don't need to Rest at Meditation points to save and create checkpoint. All you need to do is "Meditate" but don't hit the "Rest" button once sitting down. This will save and create a checkpoint but not reset your health or enemies allowing you to keep exploring while knowing you wont go back to start of area if you die.
agreed. tbf i think that might have just been a slip up on his part, he did say to meditate but then got into all the shiz you can do at a meditation point and it sounded like rest just came out after that
Definitely. Resting is bad idea lol. I kept on resting each time I meditated. I thought I needed to do that for the game to save. Long and short of it is that I kept on dying. The enemies respawn whenever you rest. Once you hit meditate the icon comes up in the bottom right and the game saves
@@lukiekeyz how'd you keep dying? The points are rarely near enemies and always where they won't aggro on you, on top of that the enemies you just killed are back where you came from so they're not in the way of progress plus you just got all your stims back.

Do not listen to most of these tips. You should upgrade health and force vitality before you do your combos because theres no use in having a sweet combo if you have no health. Plus any combo move actually drains force energy meaning to perform these combos you need high force energy meaning if you have more of it then you will be able to do more heavy attacks. Also the early enemies arent really challenging anyway parrying them is enough to get the win. If you arent rushing through the game you will have unlocked enough to get you through any boss fight anyway. Also the "sub bosses you cant fight again" is a lie. If you die to one of the bounty hunter bosses then you can still get your xp back by walking upto the light and if youve done the obj on a planet you will find that bounty hunters appear about every hour and a half so youre very likely to fight em again. I prefer to get the double blade from Bogano. It gives you time to level up and get push and some practice in. After you get push you can go to Bogano and actually have a nice little cutscene and commentary from Cal when he builds his double bladed saber. I have a feeling a more meaningful moment was cut from the game. But getting it from Dathomir is really lame imo.
One thing I noticed after a little bit is when fighting a bigger group no matter the enemy they are not al gone till your lightsaber goes away if you lightsaber goes away after taking something out then that was the last one
Interrupting an unblockable move will get you messssed up on harder difficulties. You will get hit after you get your really measley quick attack in and you will lose more health than your enemy. What you should do with unblockable attacks is precisely dodge them so youre directly next to or behind your enemy and can strike with no penalty. Sounds to me like you sorta button mashed your way through bro.
Oh and when you upgrade it on the tree you get a decent amount of force energy from parrying or precise dodges which is more reason to do it so your force meter is always full.

When I first started my file I didn't know you had to add more canisters to BD. I had to complete the arena fight with just the first 2 you start the game with.
I would say one skill on the skill tree i haven't seen many people talk about is the Precision Evade i found myself using this way more then parrying on my run of jedi grandmaster difficulty it makes combat extremely easy along with all boss fights you don't need to interrupt unblock-able attacks just Precision Evade you get some force meter filled it has the same window as a parry does to activate works on all attacks range or melee (range is a bit tougher to consistently do) plus you are still in range of the enemy to hit and you can use it with multiple enemies who attack at once to not get hit. The combo i found that works best for massive damage especially in the final boss fight of the story is Double-Bladed Lightsaber heavy attack (trying to describe it without spoiler those who know it will get the description) just Precision Evade all attacks until they are open then use the Double-Bladed Lightsaber heavy attack to chunk the boss.
Always look behind you whenever you climb up a ledge, 75% of all secret areas are essentially hidden ledges behind the one you just climbed. Also, survival skills > force skills.

Giving Greeze pants that don’t look so effing weird. AND Awesome outfits (like Crimson Camo, the dark knight, or the Caldilorian) that are just way better outfits then the games stock ones. (You can also get access to the pre-order saber color and sound without having pre-ordered)
You can get the double lightsaber after visiting the first plant you can access with the ship. Cilla will suggest going back to bogano in an offhand comment, and if you do, it’s right there. No need to get your self sliced up on Dathomir.
I unlocked the double sided lightsaber as early as I could, simply because I assumed dathomir would be a side mission planet and would have some goodies. Regardless, I then decided it was trash and very rarely did I use it, if ever. Then I had to fight Malicos, I lost and lost and lost until one time I decided hey, why not try using the double bladed lightsaber? Whats the worst that'll happen, I die? I then proceeded to dominate him using the split saber attack and only then realised the true power of the weapon.
When the main story ends you get to still continue exploring the planets, with a couple of exceptions I won't mention cause spoilers. But some rooms might become inaccessible. If you're going after a trophy for full extras found, I'd try and get them as the story is going instead of later.
Technically it IS possible to fight those special sub bosses again after they kill you, just not at the same places or times. I've seen the same names pop up later in different locations if they beat me the first time. (Still keeping it vague for spoilers)
8:57 I spent half an hour on zeffo and after the forcepush puzzle things with the annoying knight I was rly low on health and when I escaped I got shot by a storm trooper, yes you heard me, a STORMTROOPER!!!
How do you climb down? I'm trying to figure that out on ps4. Sometimes he grabs onto something and sometimes he doesn't regardless if I have L2 or X pushed.
Ooft, the worst place to get it. I got mine in Cordovas workspace on borgano, it's incredibly easy to get to and means more story wise. I recommend checking it out after a restart, it's near where you get the wall run, just explore till you find a force pushable platform and go from there.
i think its a great game and that the lightsaber combat feels great, i just wish that the combat was a little bit faster as its annoying when you have groups of enemies kill you when you don't hit fast enough
Deathomir is a good place to grind for xp before go to kashyyyk. Instead of going to kashyyyk when you unlock it go back to dathomir you will be a little bit stronger they give more xp
My man has it wrong. Do not listen to him. Head to Zeffo and complete the first mission. Then head to Bogano. There will be a waayyyyy easier and better way to get the double bladed lightsaber. With a better cut scene. Not to mention an aesthetically better looking saber too, for a long while, in the game.
The worst part of this game was definitely how long it took for my garbage internet to download the 52gb game. This game makes you play with the patience of a real Jedi, at least on the more difficult settings. Fantastic.
I agree with the tips. I just finished the game today and when it comes to exploration it's not worth exploring a planet in full at least until you have 1) force push, 2) force pull, 3) double jump, 4) BD-1's ability to cut open chests, and 5) BD-1's ability to climb ropes (zip-line upwards). I agree that doing some exploration is required, but don't knock yourself out. Planets are meant to be revisited. :D
Not a troll, but I found one long before I went to Dathomir, and can't remember anything about where, when (in detail), etc. It was early and much easier. I vaguely recall it was somewhere on the first planet in one of the work shops, but I'm basically 0% sure that's a real memory. But it is there.
You can get it on the first planet but you need an ability or BD1 to power up boxes to get it. You cant get it without one of those. I just got it on Dathomir cuz who the hell would rum away from those so called, "powerful enemies" and pass up good exp. I went to Dathomir and got it early. The enemies are tuff but its calles learning as many times as you die, you learn attack patterns, parrying, blocking etc. People just say to get it on Zeffo cuz they die so many times on Dathomir while just exploring and go to Zeffo cuz its easier but tbh, they just some wimps and run away from a fight if its too hard when i never ran away from anything in this game. Plus Dathomir aint even that hard nor is Ogdo Bogdo.

I think they dont add fast travel to prolong the game
That does make sense
i just want a red saber man
Do the deed with someone who's on her period and it'll be red😏
Kepan 1001 pardon
Kepan 1001 uhhh okay 😬 I’ll try
Edit:IT worked yay! Thank you
If you hold block while in dark tunnels etc it acts as a light giving you more light than any other way
I initially loved this game but after blowing through it pretty quick I’m a bit disappointed that it’s a pretty short game
Depending on who u talk to, i love it even though I agree it's short but for people who have difficulty with traversal and puzzles it will take a while
I prefer to get the double blade from Bogano. It gives you time to level up and get push and some practice in. After you get push you can go to Bogano and actually have a nice little cutscene and commentary from Cal when he builds his double bladed saber. I have a feeling a more meaningful moment was cut from the game. But getting it from Dathomir is really lame imo.
The double edged lightsaber can be found on bogano in the hidden workshop. It's very ceremonious and quite touching.
In bogano you can get the double light saber, without go to dathomir
Pump points into survival first.
I didn't get the double blade in dathamire, I got it on bonogo because I went there after
nothing about hunting for those additional stim crates, you can be up to 5 stims after kashyyyk
venarez I’m up to five ENTERING kashyyyk!
@@jonbodhi same
SPOILER
max stim capacity is 10
Cal looks like a grown up jimmy Hopkins from The Bully!
Weirdly enough he's the odoyle ginger bully kid from Adam sandlers film "click" then he was the Joker on the Gotham show
but cooler!
I got the double saber on bogano
you dont need to go to dathomir for the dual blade, the work shop on first planet has it aswell
One thing I noticed after a little bit is when fighting a bigger group no matter the enemy they are not al gone till your lightsaber goes away if you lightsaber goes away after taking something out then that was the last one
A dismemberment mod would be great!
Good Video...and worth reading the comments below. Commentator's say "When I left you, I was but the learner, but now I am the Master"
Yeah but on the smaller guys like the purge troopers you actually stop there unblockable attacks this way.
I still havent been to Dathomir and got my doubleblade anyway, still cant get Cal to run fast though...
Me either, i guess his "run fast" is attained later in the game.idk
Did you just reply to yourself you moron?
Also na he runs fast enough I sprinted through dothomir on jedi grand master difficulty right after leaving the first planet. You sure your using the run button?
You mean.... sprinting?
tallras1 tf why did you reply to yourself?!
Well, I've 100% on Achievements, but I still am going to watch all of the videos like this
Same just platinumed it last night
You don’t need to rest at the meditation points to activate it as your checkpoint. Just meditate and then leave without resting, checkpoint achieved without resetting enemies.
To be honest I associate the double edged lightsaber with the sith not Jedi’s
There's also a double blade upgrade on the beginning planet too. That's where I got mine
Yes but you can't get it till BD-1 gets an upgrade to open the door it's faster to go to the other planet
Playing it now! Done zeffo last night now my decision do i go to kashyk or go for the double saber?
Am I the only one who got my double saber on kashyyyk
No I did it the 3 time I finished this game
I never understood the importance of parrying before this Game
Play sekiro
Sekiro entered the chat
Great game. Nearly Platinumed it. I hope it gets some kind of dlc or something. Really could use a replayable arena or something
Can you parry multiple attacks in a chain or do you parry the first and block the rest?
@@ciaranspencer731 with blaster fire, you can rapidly parry shots after you get the lightsaber upgrade from drathomere. For physical attacks, you have to parry every attack, similar to sekiro.
@@minion630 so if it's a chain of three its parry parry parry
@@ciaranspencer731 yup. Though I would usually just block after because it wasn't as responsive as I'd like, but there was an update that should have improved that
@@minion630 ok thanks I'm fairly ass at this game lmao
I still cant believe this game exists. Great game, but for EA to regain my trust they need solid consistency like this for at LEAST an entire generation, like they did with past gens before discovering lucrative banking-like, fee-based microtransactions scams.
Well ea didnt make the game.
Thanks for the tips coach Steve
I also wish I knew about all the awesome art mods there are on PC, that for me, make the experience much better without changing anything about how it performs or plays. If you’d like some mod info go to nexusmods, sign up and pay for your account ($3) and get Things like:
Customizing saber colors and sounds,
Making Cal brunette so the various outfits look less horrible. Giving Greeze pants that don’t look so effing weird. AND
Awesome outfits (like Crimson Camo, the dark knight, or the Caldilorian) that are just way better outfits then the games stock ones. (You can also get access to the pre-order saber color and sound without having pre-ordered)
You are not required to rest at the meditation points, just enter and exit them to activate the save point
Probably the best Star Wars video game that has come out in a while
You can get the double lightsaber after visiting the first plant you can access with the ship.
People keep saying Dathomir but you get double edge saber before going to that world.
Can you still explore planets after the main story or goes it into ng+ or does the game just straight up ends?
When the main story ends you get to still continue exploring the planets, with a couple of exceptions I won't mention cause spoilers. But some rooms might become inaccessible. If you're going after a trophy for full extras found, I'd try and get them as the story is going instead of later.
great gtame performance on pc 107 amp extreme and i7 is prety shoddy though, would expect a much smoother experience.
There needs to be a fast travel system for this game. Backtracking is terrible.
It's a fantastic game I'm on my 2nd play through and thanks for the tips 😊
I got my double edge on top of the origin tree
Ooft, the worst place to get it. I got mine in Cordovas workspace on borgano, it's incredibly easy to get to and means more story wise. I recommend checking it out after a restart, it's near where you get the wall run, just explore till you find a force pushable platform and go from there.
You dont have to go to dathomir, you can get the double blade on bogano after you get the right abilities
i think its a great game and that the lightsaber combat feels great, i just wish that the combat was a little bit faster as its annoying when you have groups of enemies kill you when you don't hit fast enough
Time your strikes and focus weak enemies first. It takes a bit of strategy to take on large groups
@@gabesatterfield8056 Yeah thanks for the tip, finished it now though but i'll definitely go back in for more, brilliant game :)
Name of the song in the background plz? 😋
The worst part of this game was definitely how long it took for my garbage internet to download the 52gb game. This game makes you play with the patience of a real Jedi, at least on the more difficult settings. Fantastic.
Game of the year nominee imo
I agree with the tips. I just finished the game today and when it comes to exploration it's not worth exploring a planet in full at least until you have 1) force push, 2) force pull, 3) double jump, 4) BD-1's ability to cut open chests, and 5) BD-1's ability to climb ropes (zip-line upwards). I agree that doing some exploration is required, but don't knock yourself out. Planets are meant to be revisited. :D
You don’t need to use the Rest option to save the checkpoint. There’s nothing worse than repopulating an area with enemies if you don’t need to.
You can meditate without resting though and it still acts like a checkpoint if you die afterwards.
That’s what I meant. It saves whether you select Rest or not.
How many here got the double-bladed light sabre at Bogano like me?
🙋🏾♂️
Death stranding baby was cute?:O Only thing i see is Joe from AJ show "DADA"
You don't have to rest at Meditation Points to save your progress. You only need to activate it.
when you have dark area, just adjust the brightness in setting menu
Am I the only one that got the double edge on the first planet
Bad tip about resting. You don't need to rest to save.. Just going into the meditation point automatically saves you can literally go in and back out and you have saved.
*sigh* so tired of "gaming channels" giving bad/faulty/inaccurate advice to viewers.

I think all the sub-bosses come back after you rest a few times, or maybe leave the area.
