Has worked for Apple for years and their customers still literally throw money at them. PC manufacturers have also started ramping up more soldered storage as well in the hopes that it drives better product segmentation upsell and some sort of uptick in the refresh cycle. The latter is moronic with PC users though, because with Apple, an Apple user might by the base model and need to replace it after three years but they're almost certainly buying another Apple as there are no other MacOS options, but with PC, a user can switch between brands every upgrade cycle and still retain 98% of the same experience. It's greed, pure and simple, and we as consumers should shun them because of it, if only for the huge increase in E-waste they create as a result. RAM and SSD's should be upgradeable in every laptop or desktop computer, period.
@@Hathos9 you think ASUS actually would have used CAMM2 in this G14 if it was ready? What do people think about the estimates that CAMM2 RAM will cost roughly 50%-75% more per GB than the same chips on SODIMM modules for at least the first three years?
@@racerex340 If they don't, people can vote with their dollars and buy laptops that are using CAMM2. That said, right now, I prefer soldered LPDDR5X on a thin laptop over DDR5 so I'm not faulting manufacturers for soldered this year. Next year, I will fault them and call them out.
that's so true, I legit haven't decided on a laptop because it goes against what I'll be needing 😭😭 I'm aiming for an "everything laptop" that's versatile and handles everything I throw at it but all the laptops that get close to what I need have a con I can't get by with 😭😭

5:16 so they say they went proprietary because USBC can only do 240W and the ASUS connector can do 350W....but then the laptop itself only pulls 180W as an absolute maximum...so why didn't they just do USBC and make everyone's lives easier?
Because then they can't profit off of you when the charger breaks. Their lower wattage chargers are absolute trash and break all the time to me, I assume the higher wattage ones are the same.
Agreed! We shouldn't take ASUS' word at it. If theirs is better than USB-C, they really would have shown the working out for it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was 'compared to the worst ever USB-C charger we could find, and only by 1%'.
Moving away from the barrel connector does strike me as bizarre. There's lots of good quality power bricks out there that use the old school barrel connector. As for USB-C charging, that has it's own issues of fragility and for voltage regulators melting on the laptop's motherboard. I can see why ASUS would want to have a dedicated charging port that handles only power without worrying about data, but the new connector looks like a miss for me.
So from what I’ve heard from ASUS, they are moving with this slim power port on all of their Gaming laptops moving forward to create a unified ecosystem.

No matter what, I will never recommend this to anyone. A PC laptop with soldered ram does no one favors. Had the original one and the soldered ram made it impossible to upgrade ram and maintain speeds
I still have my G14 from 2021 which I pretty much daily drive to this day and I do a lot of 3D modeling and game dev work and 16GBs has not been an issue in the slightest. CPU, GPU, and a fast SSD will carry a system way further than expanded or slightly faster memory will. I think it was LTT or Jayz2Cents that made a video somewhat recently showing how for much "faster" memory kits you're only getting 0-1% improvements to things like gaming
I would recommend people who want this to wait for it to go on sale Asus in the US anyways tend to have good sales on the zephyrus device especially on best buy.

Just spotted these on a local site, in this region I see only 2 sku, with only difference being 4060 vs 4070 with both having 32gb, which is nice as it doesn't force you in to overpaying for the underpowered 4070
Just nabbed a TUF A16 Advantage (7735HS + 7600S) used for 700 bucks -- a steal of value for the performance, upgradability, and non-gaming battery life. Also G-helper brings back taskbar-accessible power profiles! Been enjoying it a ton over Armory Crate 😁

Gamers are the only people who prefer their laptop to draw more power. The 4070 running at 74w outperforms last years 4060 running 120w, how is this a bad thing?
Exactly, depends on how you use it. If you plan on having it hooked up to power 24/7 then sure, the 4060 makes more sense, but if you want to play games on the go, the new model is excellent.
My brother just got last years G14 with the 4050 for $899. $150 later and he upgraded it to 32 gb of ram and 2tb of storage. Im sure this new version feels better but honestly lasts years is still such a good laptop.
I wish they priced it a little more competitively. It's just slightly out of my price range when used devices have very similar performance for half the cost.
considering the 2022 6700s was $1650 new, this is fairly priced IMO. Also look at the Blade 14 which only comes in a $2700 configuration. It’s competitively priced for a new laptop
And now look at Zenbooks, MSI, Lenovo and you will see how voerpriced it is... Legion 7i comes with a way better CPU for 600$ less... @@rickystafford7433
Technically that also sacrifices a USB-C port for charging. Also with the higher end specs of this laptop they would be pushing close to the upper end of the upper limit of USB-C constant (not peak) power delivery and thus imparting potential heat issues as well
@@HardwareCanucks I call BS, Macbooks allow USB-C through any port for charging and they also work as regular USB-C ports for devices, if ASUS wanted to do it, they could.
@@NANOTECHYT They have a reason and I assume it is that USBC charging remains an issue with breakage. By giving a proprietary charging port like Apple's MagSafe, Apple can create its own rugged port that they know will last the machine's life. I have been unlucky enough to have a laptop fall when charging and damage the USBC charging port, so I am 100% supportive of Apple and ASUS here.
@@andyH_England USB-C is rated for 10,000 mating cycles. Thats charging your laptop for 13 years, every day, at least once a day. The port will outlive the device. If people are so worried about this, why isn't it such a problem with phones where everyone, even Apple is moving towards USB-C? I'll tell you why, because your excuse is bupkis, sorry I don't buy it for a second.
@@NANOTECHYT yeah the rating is good but the reality is if you accidentally knock it or it falls, unlike Magsafe, where the wire will just detach, it will probably cause damage to the USBC port. So having a proprietary charging port as well as USBC charging seems a sensible solution.
I wish ASUS would create a G14 lite that has same processor, same design, but no GPU, just iGPU, then use the space gained for more cooling and a bigger battery of 100wh, all other things remaining the same Zephyrus E14...E asin everyday use. There is definitely a market for that. Emphasis on the HS processor not U series processor, and also on the bigger battery and better cooling. Would not waste time to get it
With DDR5 SODIMM being so slow, I think it's better to go with LPDDR5. Too bad LPDDR5 doesn't come in a socketed form factor... oh wait, there's CAMM2.
CAMM2 will probably be used next year. It could not have been used for this generation since the standard was only ratified 3 months ago. They don't design a laptop in 3 months.
CAMM2 has its own issues, and no information suggests that Intel will adopt it. It will need to go through a year or two of testing for QC and reliability and therefore unlikely to be seen in the medium term. If you want the fastest LPDDR5X, then any socketed RAM will be inferior, and if you are buying for three years then that would be a strange choice.
4070 ruins the balance in a bad way. Costs way too much due to 70 series branding yet comes with only 8GB VRAM. It stinks badly. Imagine paying 2500 usd+ for laptop with 8GB VRAM. The 12GB 4080 125W G14 2023 remains a unique option as it's literally the only laptop on the planet to pair a pheonix range APU with a 4080 giving both good battery life and exceptional performance for the form factor. For instance the 4080 125W is 50% faster than the 90W 4070 on the 2024 G14 and let's not forget 50% more VRAM! The old G14 also had on upgradable memory stick and with around 170W overall thermal capacity - it was an engineering marvel. The tiny thing hits a whopping 19k on CBR23 multicore when undervolted as the 7940HS has official support for curve optimizer! The 2023 4080 G14 had no competition but the 2024 G14 has plenty of competition.
That’s why all of these reviews piss me off so much. ASUS/Razer/Dell/Etc have been like “here’s a 4070 laptop for 2024 that costs more!” and all the reviews have just glossed over entirely how an 8gb 4070 90w is a fucking ripoff for $2000, regardless of form factor. Nvidia shafting all of us.

The best 14" gaming laptop right now is the Lenovo Slim 5. I had a G14 and the keys are mushy, the light bleeds to bad through the keys it makes them useless, the keys are hard to read, you have to be careful updating any hardware outside of using ASUS software or else it will have a significant effect on battery life....I can go on and on. The Lenovo is not perfect but it is the best gaming/work laptop in its class.
Yes, particularly in Windows Scaling. You can use 200% scaling and get a good space desktop (looks like 1440x900). Or if you use 150% scaling you can get even more space (looks like 1920x1200). All while still enjoying super sharp text.
The boost clocks on the 4070 is WAY lower than what it's capable off. It's possible to get back some of the lost performance through a combination of an undervolt and an OC at the same time through MSI Afterburner.
I bought the 2022 G14 based on all the great reviews, but unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. Despite one RMA, the motherboard developed issues that cause games to crash repeatedly. After researching online, I found that this seems to be a common problem with G14 laptops. For anyone considering buying one, I'd strongly recommend getting an extended warranty from the seller.
It's hard to say that this laptop are for gaming enthusiast anymore. With the lack of upgradibility, such high res screen for the small form factor and lower tdp, it's definitely not for the hardcore gamer, but it might be the windows macbook killer that we're looking for. Students doing coding, video editing or 3D design work definitely could consider this over other 16 inch gaming laptops and over macbooks. I'm actually quite happy to see how thin and light the G14 has become, but I do wish that it's maybe 50-100 grams lighter or a few cm thicker to give it a larger battery, imagine the battery life of the G14 if it has a 99.9Whr battery when it's already so good with 73Whr
This year's model is mostly downgrades: -not upgradeable RAM, -no vaporchamber, -GPUs powered down, -OLED screen that has not been yet tested for burn-in with lower frequency than previous models, -screen hinges wobble like cheapest sh*t with just two (unnecesary) upgrades: speakers and chasis internal/external design.
I have both. The 2024 is just simply more enjoyable overall. The 2023 is a faster gamer, however. It has a more "normal" display resolution as well. It does run hotter though. I hit 95C on the CPU frequently on the 2023. Don't have this issue on the 2024. If I had to pick it would be the 2024, obviously. But I practically stole the 2023. It was the display model at the BestBuy in San Francisco and I got it for very cheap ($800). Lots of greasy fingers touched it, but with a little elbow grease, love, and repasting became a formidable system that is in perfect condition now. Now damage or wear at all. I got the 2024 on sale last week for $1100. I just had to at that price. The plan was to use both and see if the additional cost of the 2024 was worth it. Turns out it was, but I'll be keeping both.
Just got the 4070 32g version on sale at Best Buy for 1599. Amazing machine. Simple overclock this machine can play anything. The screen. Oled omg I am replaying a lot of old games just to see how it looks on this screen. Can’t beat the price 1599
I think it's a really good move having the right USB C port linked to the dGPU. It means you can run the laptop off the USB 4 port while still outputting to an external display
Oled sucks for longevity and to constantly have to baby the display when its degrading is going to happen no matter what preventions a person takes. Ips/mini led would have been way better for the new design. I dont understand why no youtuber talks about the burn in on oled. It could be easy for them to replace or just that they dont keep a laptop longer than 3 months or even just the deep pockets.
because in this year with screens of this quality its not a big deal, check jush joshes video, burn ins not noticeable after continuous 100d of being on.
This was amazing for a video for the laptop. Very thorough. I love the comparisons between the two. I would be very curious if you installed g helper to see if you could tweak out some settings and get a little bit better performance while still saving some power life compared to last year's model😮
The entire industry this year was like “hey we’re going to charge more for less” and all these TechTubers are out here defending it. It’s wild to see them go from hating Apple for doing this to praising it.
Imagine this scenario: the 2024 G14, sporting the familiar design of its 2023 predecessor but with a supposedly 'new' CPU. It's hard to ignite enthusiasm for a product that appears to be only a minor iteration. In contrast, what I'm presenting offers something novel to capture interest. Yes, it may perform slower than the previous generation, but it's essential to remember that there's no such thing as a perfect gaming laptop. Companies may provide everything but also make trade-offs. I'm optimistic that ASUS will enhance performance in the 2025 models, as we've witnessed this trend repeatedly.
These guys have no integrity. Like a lot of big tech UA-cam. There’s a cancer that is brewing in UA-cam reviewers, who are just paid frontman. Will do whatever the big daddy brand tells them to. Support a local smaller UA-camr, because because you’re going to get real results from them, not this paid advertisement bullshit
I think it's that they're more readily told / more readily take in that the 2024 is supposed to coexist with the 2023 - as far as I've seen ASUS are basically saying that & I guess are expecting that others see it too, like a "if you don't like this year's model, get the '23" kinda way. For me the '24 is a perfect fit, & especially knowing that I'm supposed & expected to get a '23 if that wasn't the case for me, I'm not too worried about what they're doing, it's not like they killed the '23 anyways!
Not everyone wants to carry around a goddamn brick if they want to game. This model combines the pros of gaming laptop and productivity laptops into a reasonable form factor. And if you want something better than a 4070 mobile, you should just get a PC, my 1080 in my PC performs way worse than the 4060 mobile and it still can play any AAA game I throw at it

Fps compromise is nothing. As long as you can get 60fps consistently in all games, it's great. My 2021 g14 averaged about 80-90 fps on unlimited fps setting, maxed out, on 144hz, and was still buttery smooth but stuttered a bit because game isn't optimized for that fps. So I switched display and game to 60fps/hz and it was even smoother than ever. You're not missing out on much here for everything else that's included. My 2021 g14 lasted 3 years with no issues until I broke it. I think the g14 will be a nice upgrade for me with that beautiful display and thinner design! And I know it will last more than a few years if it still holds up to its name. Definitely going to get it. Asus rog serious is absolutely the best quality and value of there. Hey @hardware Canucks quick question. I have been using silent mode with optimized setting in Armory Crate on battery (which means no dGPU) and on YT 4K playback I am not seeing more then 5 hours battery life on my 2024 G14 4070 model. My audio was turned up to 70% and brightness at 50%. This still seems a bit lower than you guys were getting. Any thoughts?
the new zephyrus has better non gaming features such as the speakers and the battery life compared the zenbook pro 14 oled and the pricing for both are pretty similar in my country
So let's get this straight... There's no RAM upgradeability anymore, they removed it. They removed fingerprint unlocking too. The CPU performs similarly, but the GPU performs worse. The re-designed chassis is better in some ways but worse in others, but aesthetically imo it looks worse. They use a proprietary charging port instead of USB-C, despite the laptop not drawing more than 180W, which is within the USB-C spec so they could've used USB-C anyway. The screen is now OLED, except it's dimmer and you have the risk of burn in, it's also slower in terms of refresh rate too, so why exactly would you want that on a "gaming laptop"? On a professional laptop, sure the screen makes sense, but not on a laptop geared towards gaming, I'd much prefer as a gamer 240Hz IPS or 360 Hz VA/TN or something miniLED instead. They also bumped up the price outside of the U.S to kick anyone in the nuts who was even looking at this as an option. How exactly is this a win or a better product? Looks like trash to me, the only improvement I can say is that the speakers are better and the keyboard deck doesn't flex anymore. Otherwise the 2023 G14 is better.
Or even the 2023/2024 Razer Blade 14. It literally had everything but fingerprint unlocking (it still has an IR camera for unlocking). Literally the speakers are better on the G14 and that's it!? The price isn't even that much better than the Blade 14 anymore!
I'm interested in the new MSI Stealth 14 AI especially vs the new g14. Also comes with OLED screen option but now uses Intel Core Ultra and has upgradable RAM.

If it's the 2024 model, ram is not upgradable, I don't like 16gb if you're going to keep it long term. If you think 16gb is enough for you then keep it, personally I think 32gb is safer for the future.
no ram upgrade, no money from me. hopefully they can implement the new RAM dimms in future gens, and maybe make them a bit thicker with a vapor chamber.
There are plenty of thick heavier bulkier gaming laptops with replaceable RAM. No one is forcing you to buy the G14. Many do not care about RAM upgradeability; we buy what we need. Also, the new RAM is different from what you think. If you have 32GB and want to upgrade to 64GB then you cannot buy another 32GB module, you have to buy 64GB and replace the 32GB which becomes e-waste if you cannot sell it. So you wont save money and it will be more hassle than it is worth.
@@andyH_England, none were as a good and complete package as the g14, or came at a heavy premium. rather than upgradeability it's about repairability too. Ram can fail and I?d rather buy a dimm and get it going than sending it to a technitian or replacing the device outright. The only reason this was done was for thinness, which is stupid because people who liked the g14 liked it for it's good thinness to power compromise, it was already thin enough, but they kept pushing in that direction to the point they compromised on the other important aspects of a laptop.
@@diegosanchez894 I hear "RAM can fail" but does it that often, if it does, to any significance? Worrying about RAM failing is a waste of worrying time as the GPU, OLED and other components are likely more likely to fail before RAM. Just buy enough RAM and be done, is what I would suggest. Please provide data to back up yours and others claim that RAM fails on its own to a level that is not nominal.
@@andyH_England Screens are replaceable and if GPUs were replaceable and a company suddenly decided to solder them on I would be equally annoyed. That's why I'm eyeing the framework 16 rn, though the lack of nvidia gpu's is definitely not ideal. Sorry but this review seems a bit flawed. You mentioned in your testing that you turned off keyboard backlight, do you do that for all laptops you review? How can you compare battery life? One of the USB-C ports is USB 4, not 3.2. Why do you say "I beleive" for certain specs; either you know or you don't? They dialled back the power for 2024 - it could be due to design but it could also be due to heat. The 2023 model ran hot. Why didn't you go into thermals? Also, the 2023 usb-c port didn't bypass the battery even if you set a limit, leading to battery degradation. Does the 2024 do the same?
The methodologies we used here are carried through every laptop review we do. They dialed back the power to make a more compact form factor without adding even more to the noise profile of previous generations.
Wanted to get one of these but as of May 2024, Amazon wants US$2680 with a configuration of 32Gb RAM, 2 TB SSD, 4070 GPU. Ouch! Going to take a look at the HP and Lenovo offerings.
@@erikahuxley ASUS's reputation at the moment is extremely low due to how they treat warranty claims by their customers. They basically scam people and use extortion tactics in order to force their customers to either pay for work that should be covered under warranty or pay for other unnecessary work or face losing their device or getting it sent back (at the customers expense) disassembled. There are other things they've been doing that are very anti-consumer so I stay away from all ASUS products. Anyway, I ended up buying a Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 9 for a very good price. Other than poor battery life, it is a very nice laptop.
Oh boy, I was so damn looking forward to getting the newer model. But with these numbers, the 23 variant is only looking like way more of an attractive option.
Really dislike how many companies are moving in the direction of soldered ram only with no room of upgradeability.

One of the other reviews went over this and I believe it came down to that USBC is highly inefficient at those higher wattage loads
A reversible power connecter... The previous one literally rotated 360° how is this an upgrade

I hit 95C on the CPU frequently on the 2023. Don't have this issue on the 2024. If I had to pick it would be the 2024, obviously. But I practically stole the 2023. It was the display model at the BestBuy in San Francisco and I got it for very cheap ($800). @@brokawmike perhaps I’d play cs go (and that’s why the reason), but I want to know if this notebook is more powerful than mbp (m3 pro basic) and if worth buy this and a Mac mini instead of mbp m3 pro.
@@gianscapin9134depends on the workload. If what you are doing it rendering and gpu based the g14 will be the go to. MacBook clears when it comes to cpu related tasks but the g14 is still more than most people need. I’m personally going with the g14 for college cause I also want to game but not look like a nerd
It doesn't matter if you are somewhat late to the proverbial party, we still watch it. It's great.
I would be all over this laptop but I cannot stand screen wobble and this laptop has the worst screen wobble I have seen in a while. You can see it even when just typing on the keyboard. Thanks for the review. Thumbs up!
So, they designed a proprietary charging port to use more than 300 watts, and then implemented it on a laptop with sub 200w power requirements. I guess I get it from a tooling and integration perspective, but it just seems like wasted added cost on something like this.
I’m a big fan of microSD card slots. It’s a great way to expand storage on the cheap.
This video made one thing very clear that buy the previous year g14 as it will frequently go on discount now and that will be a much much greater value for money product than this 2024 g14......
My top spec 2021 is still going strong but damn I want to upgrade D':
I have the 3060, but same
I made a choice in favour to a 2023 model month ago but 2021 (5800hs, 3060) always in my heart.
Well start good with G14 series and then start to cheap out slighlty each year hoping nobody notices. This year model sucks the big one...
- No upgradeable memory
- Lower wattage on GPU
- No fingerprint reader
- No vapor chamber
- Price
Good jobs Asus, you've made a new model inferior to old one.
my only gripe is the keyboard font. takes away from the beautiful design in my opinion
Would love to see a review of the Omen transcend 14, also don't buy this laptop unless you're willing to get the 32GB 4070 model, 16GB of soldered memory is a nono.
The 4070 + 32gb +1tb is the same price as the Macbook pro 14 M3 with 16gb +1tb ssd. Better deal in my opinion.
Would get the 4060 +16gb +1tb version personally.
Only if that 4060 model uses 32gb
nice review. thanks. btw "asus" is from "pegasus"
TBH I would have preferred a lid not unlike the Zenbooks with the stylized Asus logo looking like design lines instead of a single diagnonal RGB. Maybe use the ROG logo instead of the Asus logo in a way that it's not as visible.
take a look thinkbook 14 G6+ 2024 ultra7 + 4060 80w 3k 120hz 1.5kg 85wh 140w charger forcetouch trackpad with oculink port. Very compact hybrid laptop
What backpack is shown in the video? Thanks for the great review of G14 and G16.
Should I choose between Zephyrus and Zenbook? I don't intend to use it for gaming.
the new zephyrus has better non gaming features such as the speakers and the battery life compared the zenbook pro 14 oled and the pricing for both are pretty similar in my country
Is platinum white colour stain prone? Can we clean it easily unlike g14 (2023)model?
We Need more small form factor Powerhouse!!
But yeah , I'm really dislking the way company's are not allowing us to upgrade RAM's anymore!
Would love to see a head to head to head between the new G14, the Legion 14”, and finally the Omen 14”. At least in numbers for future comparisons.
Which Legion 14" are you referring to?
I'm interested in the new MSI Stealth 14 AI especially vs the new g14. Also comes with OLED screen option but now uses Intel Core Ultra and has upgradable RAM.
@@HardwareCanucks Official name is the “Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 (14”)” according to the Lenovo website. Came out mid-late 2023 I think. Sorry for not being more specific.
I think the reason behind including micro SD card slots on many laptops this year is to semi justify making it harder or impossible to upgrade internal storage. It’s not for creatives to move photos and videos from their camera, it’s for someone to toss in a 512 GB or 1 TB micro SD card and leave it in.
Then fuck that shit I'm out. Oh wait, I wasn't considering one of these anyway. They really screwed up this year!
im interested to see the difference between the 2023 G16 (4080) and 2024 G16 (4080) models in performance
Honestly if you are looking at a 4080, just go with the G16 at that point and you won't be throwing money into the fire.
Ridiculous how the base model (4050, 16gb ram) costs SGD$3.1k in Singapore
What's that wallpaper you're using in the video? Just bought the Asus Zephyrus G14 :)
does it worth it to switch from last year zephyrus m16 to zephyrus g16 2024?
Is there any noticeable performance improvement?
No it's not hold your laptop until 2025/2026 cause to early to replace and this is still first gen refresh better wait second or third gen refresh model. I learn in hard way when buying rog zephyrus m16 first gen if i know what i get for second and third gen m16 i will hold up.
I just wish I could get the g14 in white with 4070 and 32gb ram here in germany, I really don\t understand why they dont offer it here .................
I'm currently have the G14 2060 maxQ and it has been rough looking for a new laptop to game with
Between this and the Razer 16 with the i9 13950hx….? Any advice
Sadly new laptops are super expensive and their price drop super fast after 1 year, best stratgy would be to wait for next year model to buy one, I got 2022 g14 on 2023 with a 6700s. Amazon upgrade to 40gb ram and 2tb SSD for 1k USD
Hello, I'm looking for an all-terrain terreneitor PC hehe, watch movies, work and play, I'm looking at different models and I wanted to know what your recommendation is.
Legion slim 5 14.5
legion slim 7 with intel i7
Asus G14 2014
all with the 4060 and 32 GB graphics
greetings
holy shit, i didnt know this had VRR. thats a HUGE deal
How good is the performance on the 4060 version?
Dad. But they’re not going to tell you that because this is a paid advertisement
Would love it, if it was already available in Europe... Thought they should be all available end of january =(
Very Impressive Laptop. Ive seen reviews mention that the hinge for the screen is very wobbly if the table shakes a bit.
Was this your experience aswell when using the device or was the screen not so wobbly?
It does wobble similarly to the older G14
I’d say it’s more an issue with the G16. I have the 2024 G14 and while it does wobble if you pull on the screen and let go, it doesn’t wobble while typing if that’s your concern.
@@Cameroncito I was mainly concerned about wobble while typing, so thanks a bunch for clarifying
@@maxderdax6117 You’re welcome :3 Yeah, absolutely recommend this little beast ^^ Loving it so far and wobble hasn’t been a problem at all, whether on hard surface or on my lap
I got that laptop without the oled display. Will it be worth it? 16g of ram, 512 ssd. For $ 999. I can always return it within 2 months, but I'm wondering if an oled justifies the 500 markup
The thing is ram used to be easily replaceable and I don't think it's worth the tradeoff to move towards soldered chips.
wish they have the 16 inch one but with ryzen
Wild the new one is louder since my G14 4060 is already super loud.
Wanted to get one of these but as of May 2024, Amazon wants US$2680 with a configuration of 32Gb RAM, 2 TB SSD, 4070 GPU. Ouch! Going to take a look at the HP and Lenovo offerings.
Take a look at the ASUS Zenbook Pro 14.
