SOTA amateur radio activation of Glas Maol in Glenshee. Ham rario in the hills, portable operating using Yaesu FT-847d and HF frequencies, inverted V linked dipole and that's it!
Chris, I just spotted this unanswered comment on UA-cam studio. Sorry about that! I've been up Glas Maol since then, having 2m ssb and fm fun! Cheers, Fraser MM0EFI
Great work. Nice effort. Hope to work you one day. I am yet to get into HF. Stuck on vhf at the moment. I did my first sota last week and now have 3 under my belt. Motters M7TRS 73
Good Job in getting started in SOTA. I've worked southern England and Wales from the Cairngorms on 2m ssb and FM when the conditions are right and I'm on high enough hill, so we may achieve a summit to summit without HF! Cheers, Fraser MM0EFI
@@theradiorover sounds good to Fraser. Fingers crossed then. My local is G-SP/004 Shining Torr. I am only on FM as I just have a anytone 878 and a couple of 2m antenna. 👍🏻🤘🏽 M7TRS
@@theradiorover is getting better for the chasers like me as well. The last few weeks have been good for chasing. Easier now i am pretty much full time WFH.
That looks a nice summit and you had it all to yourself. Shame HF wasn’t better for you. 73 Chris M0RSF

Hi Fraser, odd question, but what is that watch your wearing ?
It's a Casio g-shock mudmaster. It's bombproof! It's solar charged and has barometer, compass, altimeter etc. Just a shame the alarm isn't louder! 💤💤💤
@@theradiorover thanks Fraser
