OH man, if these had been around in the early 2000's when I was really into backpacking, this would have been amazing for heating up some Mountain House in my tent. But, today, in 2024, these are going in my camping gear, my disaster prep kit, and this will come with me to work every so often to heat up tasty left-overs. I love when we put science to work for us.
Yup these would be great for short term emergencies. A simple over night back packing trip would be great spot for these as well

Will the water freeze in winter if it's in your vehicle?
I'm sure like any water it will freeze but the bags aren't filled to the brim so less of a worry about them busting
@@titanpreparedness U said there is salt in the water. So I am wondering how cold it can go before it freezes. I got thinking of tossing this in a car with some freeze-dried meals and now if you get stuck in the highway or break down you could have a good 3 days of food. So I am wondering how cold does it have to go before it freezes and also if it freezes does the bag break.
@SurvivalSavvvy give me like 2 days and I'll toss 1 in the freezer and check for you. Your right the salt might prevent it from freezing. I will find out and get back to you
Hey, put one of the water packets in the freezer, and while it didn't bust, it did freeze. So, for your location, it would do well for 9-10 months out of the year
