It's definitely a big improvement. I just wish it would have a HUD and digital rear view mirror. All the other big auto makers offer those on their competing vehicles, and it's hard to lose those one you are used to having them. Not a deal breaker, but they really should offer those features.
Agree. Same. After the last crazy quality drop and price hike I promised myself a cool fake for Christmas, I've already scouted it out at kislux and will put the rest into an investment account.
the poor sale is due to poor build quality. the exterior design is nice and the interior well. but not fan of the lack of actual buttons. hopefully they build this refresh a better powertrain especially engine design.
I hate the plastic side and back panels because they fade in the sun and damage easily, some side panels even fall off over time. It looks cheap. The touch screen panel is too large. I like the folding seats and the body style. I will not purchase one due to the cheap, unpainted exterior panels.
BlueCruise.. pay an extra fee so you can concentrate less on driving because that’s how lazy people have become now days? Jesus.. How much extra does that add to the cost of the vehicle just for the hardware/software to be able to run that? Could probably save $1,000 or more (not even accounting for the extra fees after 1 yr) just by getting rid of crap like that. It should be an add-on option. How about less focus on mpg, tech and luxury and more focus on power, style, and bullet-proof engines and transmissions.. The ST though certainly has the power and style, which is why it has caught my interest. I do like the center screen as well, though would rather have actual buttons/knobs for the temperature controls, as well as for the radio if it doesn’t have for that. Screen controls actually divert more attention from the road because you can’t just reach and turn a knob, you have to look and be more mindful of hitting the right place on the screen (I learned that way back when I switched to my iPod Touch from the older style click-wheel design).
In 5 years the car will be outdated. That’s just the pace of innovation/gimmick invention (whatever you wanna call it) in the industry rn. Explorers today base model are better equipped than explorers 5 years ago. Hate it or love it, but the prices are here to stay because that’s what people want, and that’s more luxury and more tech.
American car companies are finished. Between the Japanese, the German, the Korean, and soon Chinese companies the American car companies cannot possibility compete. Not on price, quality, or features.
They downgraded!!! So the shiny gloss is now that cheap looking plastic, these wheel designs are trash, they didn’t gain any room and that was an issue with the last explorer

Nobody gives to rips about HUDs anymore!
I love my old school shift ... I can rest my hand on a button and feel like its a stickshift! 😢

The interior is an excellent upgrade but the exterior is such a light refresh it’s just not enough
Agreed I see the same design as forever. There needs to be more risk taking that the competition is doing right now
Thank you so much for muting the "hey Google" part. GOD BLESS

Not paying for subscription services. Good news is ford includes apple CarPlay, unlike GM and others who have been dropping it
Wasnt carplay once a selling point
Did the whole button tray move?? Wow
You should drive one they are amazing. Very very very fast for the ST 3.0turbo
Not everyone wants a small turbocharged engine with little durability.
So why did Ford put the Explorer back on a rear wheel drive bias platform? 🤔
Better driving dynamics and better towing. You actually want FWD?
I don't want my car to have a tablet. I sure as hell don't want to pay a monthly fee for the tablet.
Great to see the 2025 Ford catching up with everyone else.
Actually some undercover cops drive st version police explorers 🥴
They needed a full ass redesign not a refresh

41k to 58k?! You're out of your God damn mind! Just wait 5 years and that Ford will be worth 1/2. 😂

Same could be said for 90% of all new cars.
Get rid of that stupid freaking dial shifter and id buy one 100%

Everyone thought this in the 90s as well due to quality issues...

Matt have you skinned down ? You look great
They have no buttons or knobs for climate control and radio. I take a Honda Pilot over this junk any time.
Pilot engine and transmission issues have entered the chat
The new Pilot already looks like a 5 year old vehicle inside.
my coworker has a 2024 pilot and it looks like an 80s car compared to my 25 st inside and outside. Where did this comparison even come from?
Did you ever try to adjust the climate controls on a screen at 75 mph ? I'll take the knows any day. My 2021 Edge changes lanes real fast.
This is a fukin joke right
Right suv,
Wrong reviewer.
