Here's my ideal air realistic battles: (🚨Warning🚨) A little long.... Each mach starts off on the Ideal staring place for each aircraft. Carrier based planes like F4S and F14 start hooked up to launch, YAK141 at helipads (with helicopters so helicopters can grind without AA constantly on them) and everything else at a runways. Each player is assigned to a squadron of 2-6 players with datalink and voicechat enabled by default. Each sqaudron votes on the type of mission to carry out, with the options being nuetralize, support, or strike. Neutralize would basically be a bounty system on other neutralizers to support agro gameplay and protection of support and strike. By default, matchmaking puts bombers and attack jets in strike, with support being an escort and clearing service for strike teams. Once you complete your mission everyone is called to either RTB or join squadrons that need help. The maps will be naturally very diverse in land and very large. Like Battlefield, once one team (ex. America vs Russia) completes all the squadron contracts, everyone is called to RTB 1 final time for bonus exp and an overview. The maps will have 6 decated awacs per team, no AI fighters, AA batteries to protect airfields, mid air refueling that can be destroyed but will always spawn back, a dynamic line of control for each team that affects gameplay once pushed too far, and vehicles of all types on the ground and sea that are objectives and not dangerous. For mechanics, your squadron has 2 more lives per plane (if you change planes you have to rtb), and realistic rules ( meaning team killing is unacceptable and after the 2nd purposeful tks or 3rd accidental tk you be kicked from the server, servers will keep progress and will last up to 2 hours, simple staying in the fight will net huge exp gains and completing each contract will double that, server sizes will consist of around 30 (capped at 40) players per team and people will be able to come and go as they please. This is will be a aviable in RB and sim, and finally it will allow new players who buy premiums to learn in an environment when the grind isn't enforced in aceing everygame or flying straight, where they can learn against actual people in a relaxed, open world. Wow this was long. I have more ideas but ima stop here.
These are great ideas! I love the idea of having squadrons and objectives. Also having air, ground, and heli players all fighting one battle.I think war thunder would do great as a Mil-sim game. I may even submit all of these ideas to Gaijin. Also you win Mikey for longest comment so far on the channel ;) 😂
DCS, basically a cross between that and WT. I like it, would make it more fun for people who don’t enjoy the furball or getting TK’d on Sim (also some rewards are crap now)
I've previously been pushing for the following for the past few weeks: Air RB EC is added, meaning we basically have Air Sim but in RB style. - Respawns (could be with SL, could limit it to 3 guaranteed spawns + backups, or just have spawn points) - 16v16 sized matches - Lobbies we can join/leave whenever - 4-5 air fields spread across the map - Large map sizes with recurring objectives (bases, ships, AI ground battles, convoys, AI bombers/surveillance) - Except now we have markers and 3rd person (imo it would be nice to have no enemy markers, but standard RB markers would be fine as a start) Air RB (standard) becomes: - 8v8 sized matches - Removed AI and ground battles to avoid automatic ticket bleed - No respawns - Smaller maps than EC (may need adjustments) In the far future we could maybe see things like AWACS and better AAA (we already have Patriots and S-300s in the files) for objectives. Better AAA, for example, makes ARMs viable.
I have been saying almost the same thing for Air RB EC. The only thing is that I think they should lower the player count and have AI aircraft to fill in the extra as well as remove markers (at least at top tier because of radar).
@@Master_Gabe_Gaming 16v16 obviously has to go, but 12v12, 10v10, and 8v8 are all options depending on the map size. In my opinion, RB EC could be 16v16 without much issue. IF we get RB EC, then regular RB could lose the AI planes/battles and bases and the player format could go down to 8v8 - focusing more on PvP than grinding. RB EC could take the grinding role instead.
My dream is to hop in a B-29 and fly actual long range bombing missions that would be rewarding, both to the pilot and the team. Or load a full tank in a F-105 or a A-4E and have a map big enough you could actually be sneaky while trying to dodge ground based radar or MiGs.
I think for sure more game modes is something Gaijin should focus on. For example protecting a convoy in GRB perhaps or defending an air assault in ARB? And if you are a bomber/strike aircraft you would spawn along with the ai raid
4:44 Gaijin has experimented with removing multi pathing in arcade and simulator if I’m not mistaken so they might do something similar for rb eventually.
Things you talked about is about 99% exact things I've been saying to be added in this game. Especially the CAS part, I don't understand why tank players have to fight planes? Just make a combined war mode where tanks fight on ground and planes in air, even naval can fight beside if they wanted to. This game has insane potential but they just don't want to innovate foe years now. A decade of continous development and zero changes in gameplay.
Enduring confrontation does a lot of what you're asking for, but we need a version of this that is available in RB difficulty for those who don't want to be stuck in cockpit view. The other issue with EC I have is that the objectives they have just don't feel connected in any way. They're just ways to drain the enemy's tickets. I want a mode where it feels impactful to kill an AWACS or strike a logistics hub, or interdict enemy supplies. I like the idea of a battle lasting days rather than 3 hours, so you can have time for actions to bear fruit. Real combined arms battles are long ordeals, and War Thunder should have a mode to reflect this.
I do question how pure and good a force can be in a long term SHTF situation when you don't have the CIA doing all the "grey area" stuff you didn't have to do overseas because they did it and fine so be it, but you presumably wouldn't have access to them to interrogate the enemy using their questionable methods but you still may need information to save lives. So what do you do then? Value being pure or do what needs to be done? This black and white thinking starts to crumble...
I legitimately quit air RB because of the same old game mode for what 7 years now? I don't even want to get started on the JU288 spam, and how it literally ruins games.

@@Master_Gabe_Gaming Thanks man!
I'll accept the trophy 🏆
I was thinking instead of calling it Air Realistic Battles, it should be Air at war or The Thunder of War.@@Master_Gabe_Gaming

Another thing I forgot to add would be Co-op. So you have 2 players flying a F-14, tornado, Apache, etc.
These are some great ideas. ARB needs to change.
I've previously been pushing for the following for the past few weeks:
Air RB EC is added, meaning we basically have Air Sim but in RB style.
- Respawns (could be with SL, could limit it to 3 guaranteed spawns + backups, or just have spawn points)

- Lobbies we can join/leave whenever
- 4-5 air fields spread across the map
- Large map sizes with recurring objectives (bases, ships, AI ground battles, convoys, AI bombers/surveillance)
- Except now we have markers and 3rd person (imo it would be nice to have no enemy markers, but standard RB markers would be fine as a start)
Air RB (standard) becomes:
- 8v8 sized matches
- Removed AI and ground battles to avoid automatic ticket bleed
- No respawns
- Smaller maps than EC (may need adjustments)

@KillerSniper55 nah I think a higher player count is fine if it’s a big map with everyone spread out doing objectives

Need a mode similar to DCS multiplayer lobby's were you can join different ongoing campaigns and actually feel like your doing something meaningful

Air RB died as soon as mixed battles super sonic jets and missiles were added. I’ve never had as much fun as I did back in the mig15 vs f86 days
f-86 f2 vs might-15bis
mig had thrust to weight/turn
f-86 had roll/top speed
it was balanced and awesome

I miss that big France map. It was ahead of its time.
Imagine being called Gabe and being an Air RB player, and wanting Air RB EC. Couldn't be me.
Said the Gabeinator 😂
This sounds like a smaller scale and more realistic helldivers 2 and im all for it, its a great idea
Air RB and ground RB both need a much larger number of available spawn areas. Would help a number of issues
As a pc war thunder player, I’m very impressed with your flying while using a PlayStation controller.
Thanks 😂
it’s still weird to see an f-16 in the game. been playing since 2013
so warthunder needs more roleplaying is what ur saying, and it makes total sense in a game trying to recreate war as accurately as possible

Did u update your keybind settings or is it still the same ?
Still the same :)
Your opinions are based, and i agree with all of them.
Those r good ideas you should put them into the recommendations section of the warthunder website
Just play lower tier! There are hundreds of planes you DONT HAVE to play high tier
Even lower tier is kinda boring. You spend 1/3 of the game climbing get kills and lose cuz some guy was camping his airfield.
