There are many very feminine short hairstyles. It's just down to what suits your face. Some people have very fine hair and short hair are more practical and easier to take care of.

I just heard you say, you’re beautiful just the way you are and I was going to say that exact thing to you. I am in no way referring to your decision in the beginning of the video. What amazes me is that women can be so critical and feel the need to pick each other apart! Of course I only know you from what you show us on camera but I know that you can’t fake such overall beauty! I first found you looking for hair color and cut tutorials, but subscribed to your channel because of the amazing “aura”. I can listen to you all day long because you’re honest and kind and intelligent and you have an incredible ability to teach with the simplicity much of us.need.
I don’t understand why there are so many people who have such an innate desire for destroying and tearing apart anyone who they feel inferior to, but they say, “hurting people hurt people”...it’s not an excuse but possibly an explanation. When someone says or does something hurtful to me, I try to remind myself that their behavior says nothing about me and EVERYTHING about them!
I love you and thank you for your kindness and assistance 💇🏼‍♀️💐

Never feel the need to explain your own face to anyone. You're a gorgeous girl naturally but, like the fact that you dye your hair to enhance your skin tone, any other 'modifications' should be made to make you happy and compliment your features. You're in the beauty business and are there to test out these 'products' good and bad. It's no different that someone trying out a skincare brand to tighten their skin etc. There's still a stigma around fillers etc but if you make sure to mould it to your face and features then I don't think it should be anyone else's business. Half the time it's jealousy that they can't get the same work done because of the cost. Me included! But I'm good jealous :-) xx

These are some great tips. One thing I found this that sometimes when people want to lose weight it's not necessarily about they think they need to it's about they have a preference. Some people prefer a certain hair color and that's kind of how some people prefer a certain weight and like a certain weight on their particular body type and structure. I know a woman who prefers to be a certain weight like 118 lb and at 5 ft 4 and it's because she likes that on her and one reason it's that she naturally has a wider jaw. She prefers the size her Jaws are when she's a little bit under the 120 lb Mark and if she gets to 122 she loses a few pounds. These are some good things to use in great tips you gave until a person can get down to what they prefer. Boxing people have to get down to their weight of preference or dream wait but that's just kind of her way.

sweetie....Im not beautiful like this girl!!! Far from her! For sure..... and self tanner that shows muscles for a competition washes off. It doesnt 'enhance' an appearance. By the way...Im naturally dark too, Im Hawaiian. :) My point here is that this girl is drop dead gorgeous....I dont want her thinking she needs to change a thing about herself. Dont read wayyyyyy into the comment. Its my opinion. And I hold true to it. If Elle went to the beach to tan, she wouldnt change her appearance, which is perfect. Doing your hair, nails, tan etc is much different than going to a doctor to change yourself. Its exactly what you said in your comment....'their insecurities'....I dont think she should have those. Shes GORGEOUS!!!!!!

I am one of the voluptuous gals. I have shoulder length hair with volume, layers, and bangs that I swoop to the side. EVERY time I have this hair style, I get tons of compliments and I feel that my pictures look better. I agree with her! I've had longer hair and I looked like a tree stump. When I had longer hair, I used to put it up in a bun and always got compliments. So, I stick with shoulder length shag with lots of volume on top and side bangs.

I have been cutting my hair every six weeks to my shoulders because since my hair is fine and I dye it, it tangles easily and breaks. I am kind of thinking of cutting it shorter to my neck and putting waves or curls to my hair. I use to have very long hair in my mid back, but I found that it broke into pieces and looked uneven that is why that I cut my hair shorter to a medium length haircut.

I'm short with a small head (the 4th one) and giving myself a chin length bob was the best hair decision I've ever made. I was worried I wouldn't feel womanly but it's the sexiest I've ever felt. it's so versatile too and I've been trying different colors for the first time because it's easy to cut the damage off and still have the amount of hair left that I want.

If you came out and stated that you are categorically against any form of fillers, etc.., then I could see having to defend yourself. But I don't recall you ever doing that, so why bother explaining yourself? I would ignore the nonsense. I have issues with liars and people who treat others badly, but doing something to make yourself feel better doesn't impact anyone's day. :)

First of all I want to thank you for taking the time to disseminate loads of helpful information to everyone out there seeking self improvement. This is information that you paid for (and not cheaply either), spent the time training, practicing and acquiring years of experience that now because of you anyone can have for FREE in less than thirty minutes! Your life is your own and Im sure you are very busy and charge a lot of money for what you know and your talents and skills. So let me say "Thank You!" - for caring enough to take the time to make these videos and give away for no cost what you know. I hope in return you have immense success because of it. Second, I wanted to address the surgery/botox/filler discussion. I have had all three so I am definitely of the do what makes YOU feel beautiful and confident camp. Remember, in life no matter what you do, there will always be someone out there who hates it. Consider, yourself lucky if its only some- ONE. HA! You will never please everyone. So make your choices based on what you want not what others want of you. They arent making decisions in their lives based on your opinion of them so why should you make choices based on the opinions of others?! Im 40 years old and one of my fav quotes for life is from Cartman on the South Park TV show, "I do what I want!" I suggest this mantra for everyone. I decided at 34 years old I would never make another decision in life based on the opinions of others because I have one life to live and im gonna live it. In the end when I look back on my life, I want to see my adventure not regrets due to the fear of judgement from others.
That was a very long winded set up to say this... Girl! You are fucking Gorgeous! With makeup, without makeup, probably even with a booger in your nose. In fact, I bet theres weirdos out there who think youre so beautiful and smart and talented and sexy that theyd buy that booger for alot of money!! Youd probably have a bidding war on your hands over ElleBangs Boogers. LOL!
Honestly, I havent read the comments that made you doubt yourself but I do hope they were from a sincere place but they just lacked the tact and vocabulary to express the following thoughts. There is nothing on your face that needs tampering with. You are perfectly blessed with outer beauty of every single feature perfectly balancing the others on your face. Maybe someday your lips will droop and deflate when gravity gets the better of them and you may want to "adjust" them back into place. But right now, enjoy the naturally beautiful face you have. You are one of the lucky ones. Love that about yourself. Your lips perfectly match everything else on your face. When you walk in a room do you want to be the total knockout, compete package of beauty and confidence sauntering into the room turning everyones head as they wonder to themselves, Whos That? Or do you want to be the girl that walks in and the eye is drawn first to "Sexy Lips!" then they notice the rest of you, "Oh and shes also beautiful"...its your life and your choice. Neither is wrong. Its whatever makes YOU feel AMAZING, GORGEOUS AND CONFIDENT.
You go girl! Keep Trailblazing...or should I say "Elleblazing"?! You can have that one 😉

Totally agree 100% with the petite style. That's exactly how I love my hair. My hair grows so fast though so I usually let it grow out for a bit and then get it cut and it definitely looks much better when I get it cut to a mid length with lots of layers and angled in the front. I actually didn't even know it I just kind of tried a bunch of different lengths through out my life and have found that works best for me. So your right on with that one.

I did a great job my first try and I will not ever pull my hair through a cap again. I have since watched many of your videos & I must say that you do a great job explaining everything that you're doing and then demonstrating to show us. For the record, it never occurred to me if you do or do not use botox on your face. I think you are naturally a very pretty girl, I love your hair & please don't ever feel that you have to explain anything about yourself for fear of offending someone when you are taking the time, your time to help people like me to be able to do our hair like you do yours. This is ridiculously old fashioned thinking and advice. Any body shape and height can have any hairstyle they like. People get so afraid to play with their hair because of "rules" like this! If you want to chop off your hair, make it rainbow coloured, or grow it to your butt then do it- no matter what your shape or size.

BUT now thinking of the comments I left in other video wow... Thank you so much Sylvia! Thanks for caring enough to share what you know, to those of us who need the help.
I live here in Australia... I dont know you... likely not to ever meet you... So I am not speaking as a personal friend etc when I say this.... I am so sad that you constantly cop crap on here for being YOU. You're a lovely person, from what we see here!!! I dont understand it! Why do people feel the need to have a go at you (and many others, I might add!), your appearance, or anything else??? It made me really mad that yet again you felt you had to explain yourself and deal with the comments given on your appearance.... hopefully, as you said, they came from a place of caring etc... but I am sure some didnt! Small minded people seem to just get off on themselves and their own hateful comments, coming from a very sad and ugly place within. They dont realise that what they do and say stands out like a sore thumb... I feel so sorry for them... they are not being witty and wise at all, but ugly and nasty.
Keep being you, Sylvia! You are so very appreciated all around the world. God bless ya xxx

Wow.. Thank you very much! This helped me a lot - I am in a position where I feel like I need to lose weight, and my hair is too long... I have been thinking about cutting my hair shorter for a little while and now I just feel more confident that I can do it due to my body shape/size☺ I am around 5ft.8 and curvy, I already have bangs and have done for about 3+ years, so now I am going to cut my hair shorter just because you have given me that little bit more confidence☺

I just wanted to say that I feel that naturally thick, long, mega conditioned & shiny hair looks great on anyone, in fact it can be your only style statement. When I see thick, long, glossy hair, particularly the titian colour, in waves, cascading down the back, I am not looking at anyone's shape, I am just standing there admiring this show of glorious hair. If you watch someone with gorgeous long hair, regardless of shape, waft by a group of men, I can assure you that the men will only have eyes for that woman! That's why, over the centuries, women have always wanted long, thick glossy hair and that the hair extension industry will never die! If anyone tells you to cut your well looked after, beautiful cascade of hair, walk away and remember they're no friend of yours.

I agree with your suggestions apart from one thing. I am tall and have always enjoyed wearing my hair long, with a fringe (Bangs) UNTIL I aged a bit, and found that when I became older , Long hair seemed to make me look even older than I was, I lightened my dark hair and had a softer, shorter cut, and for ME personally, I thought it took years off me. I think body and face shape play a huge part in the hairstyle you wear, but age also plays a part in my opinion. But very good informative video, just pointed this out as being young yourself you may not have had to think about this yet.

Scrolling through the comments I’m seriously confused. First of all whatever she does with herself is her choice and she should not be criticized. If you don’t like her LEAVE. No one wants to hear you critique and complain .. it’s annoying and obnoxious. The reason she talks so much is because she gives very good detailed explanations . She’s beautiful, she’s helpful, and she has great content. I loved this video. She may not be bubbly and have crazy funny edits but that’s not her... people come to her channel for her style and content .. if you don’t like it don’t come. I think she’s perfect and will not sit here and see people try and bash and perfectly kind person

I did botox on my forehead lines for awhile and honestly I think it made them worse after all. My mother has pronounced lines and I thought treating them in my 30's would help but I think they made them worse because now that I stopped over a year they are worse then my mothers were at my age. I will never do anything else ever to my face.

LOL, you reminded me of my hairstylist. I'm short and petite, semi-wavy hair. I LOVE short hair. I stuck with a mid-length to long for the longest. I decided to go SHORTER, right at my jaw line, straight cut. My hair stylist said "You already look really young. If you go shorter, you're going to look like a little girl" (She said it with concern, like my mom or sister). I remember waiving her off saying "No, I won't." She offered, if I felt like I looked too young, that she would bring out some recommendations for styling. I agreed. Cut it off and felt like a child when it was wet. Felt regret. But when she blow dried it and did a little styling (she moved the parting line further one side), for the first time in my life, I looked my age and I LOVED my hair.
But thank you very much for the videos. I want VERY short hair again, but have been hesitating again.

I had missed the last video, so I went and checked it out. I personally see no drastic difference...I've honestly seen bigger differences with contouring. It was seriously ridiculous to see those harsh and rude comments. Who in the hell feels entitled to criticize another persons appearance? It's not like she asked for anyone's opinion. Smh... such a shame....Where has etiquette gone in this world? I would never dream of seeing someone (friend, family, stranger) and be like "OH MY GAWD! What happened to your face?!" Much less type it in a comment. SOOO rude! What happened to..."If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all?"
Anyway...Sylvia, I think you are beautiful! It's not only your physical beauty, it's your self confidence that really makes you shine. Do what makes YOU happy, girl, and forget the rest. Clearly you're doing something right, since we're all sitting here watching you every week, right? (PS: my beautiful Mom's name is Sylvia too, and I apologize if you spell it differently) Take Care! XOXO

so i was exactly right! Damn, Im good 😉 I commented on your last video that I think you are just so beautiful, someone else replied by saying it was nice to see a "nice" comment bc everyone was being so mean...then of course a couple others chimed in talking about how you've ruined your perfect canvas. So i had to go back and look, and I said I barely notice anything...maybe the bottom lip is a tad fuller but that I couldnt be sure bc it was so minimal if you did, and that your brows looked more arched. I just appreciate that you kept it natural and you still look like yourself. I dont mind injections or surgeries, but I do hate when people go overboard, and I cant lie.....its getting crazy here on youtube and gurus are filling their lips to the point of ridiculousness! Anyhow, you were gorgeous before, still gorgeous, and if others hadnt pointed it out then I would've never noticed and that's how it should be!! If you're happy with the fillers, dont let these people deter you from doing it again if you want.

Shes just a "Picasso" naturally...no need for touch ups. You know, everyone comments about what they choose to on UA-cam. Its social media.....if people dont want opinions of others, best not to post public on social instruments. People will give their opinions whether they agree or disagree. You open yourself up to that on social netoworks. No one is exempt. This girl was just hands down gorgeous...she doesnt need a thing:)

    • @evenlyanxious
      @evenlyanxious 7 років тому +12

You keep saying "Picasso" naturally, which (as an art lover) isn't a compliment, in my opinion. Picasso's works were so deconstructed and brash. I'd have an easier time with comparing Silvia to a botticelli work. His were just divine; graceful, elegant, fluid, soft...the exact opposite of Picasso's works.

ew even if you did get plastic surgery, don't ever let a group of strangers freaking out tell you that the "old you" needs to come back. We're all growing and changing and people that actually love you will know that your heart is the important part and that the outside is all temporary, and that we'll all be wrinkly and old. I can tell from watching the first 30 seconds of this video (this is my first video of yours I've seen) that you are a beautiful person with a golden heart. So before we're wrinkly and old everyone should be able to change their exterior if they want however they want without getting judged, because this state is temporary! Btw, I have had zero cosmetic surgeries and I'm 19, this is just my opinion. So glad I came across this video, subscribed!!!! :-)
