@@Scroft A question for you, in case you found a setting that could help out. When placing a vehicle at a precise location and creating a waypoint, it seems that the waypoint will be created to the closest path dot, which is not necessarily directly under the vehicle. so the next time you ask the vehicle to go to a specific waypoint, it will mostly stop many feet before or after where we intended it to be. I am able to correct this by manually moving the waypoint ... but did you found a way to fix this?
This is a great series! I looked for something like this months ago and couldn't find it. Thank you for your clear and complete explanations of each step!
Hey scroft, thank you for this clear and easy to understand tutorial! Yesterday I started to incorporate autodrive in my Eiersholt savegame as I got a bit tired of re-making routes with courseplay, and thus far it's working like a charm for me. This is a great mod👍🏼
Nice one love this mod just need a professional to guide me in the right direction no punt intended thanks buddy going to enjoy this how to 👍👍🚜🐄🏴
I have tried AD in the past, but never could understand it. This past week I have been watching every video I could so I could understand it. I have started to create some routes on SRV. So far so good. Do have some questions though but will wait to ask until your series is done.
Does the speed that you drive the route when recording affect the speed that AD drives the route? Mainly wondering if I need to record my route while pulling a full trailer, or will the algorithm adjust for differences in weight if I record it with just a tractor?
Hi Scroft. Thanks for the great tutorial. Helped me a lot. Using autodrive all the time now. Just one issue if you don't mind helping me. My tractor and trailer slows to a crawl at times for no reason, No objects near. Slowing down over a long distance and don't speed up again till it reached it's target. I tried all the settings, but can not seem to get the Tractor to speed up. Thanks. :-)
Have you checked the speed it's set to. Its normally the max the vehicle goes but it could be lower for some reason. Also if you've turned down the speed when using that vehicle in cruise control its still that speed it will go that speed in autodrive
@@Scroft Thanks for the advice. Yes. Speeds are all set to max. But Truck/Tractor or any other vehicle slows to a crawl a long way from silo or end point. I have tried many settings. But maybe I missed something. The help is appreciated. :-)
Does anyone know how to manually draw a reverse link? I know to make a normal link; you just left click point A then point B and a two way is A B,B A, but how do you do reverse (light blue arrow)? Cheers!
Hello, i have a small problem. Maybe somebody knows a solution. So i have made a main road record. From point A to Point B. Now on the main road, i made an exit for a selling point. But now is the problem. When my vehicle goes from A point towards B, he passes thru the selling point, without any command to use ( like sell something). He randomly picks that course of a selling point road. Question: How can i modify to stop vehicles using that piece of the road without the command of direct use. Thank You. Problem resolved: The recording route type for the Selling Point was for 2 Ways Line, but the junction/connection with the main road route was green - one way- , so i made that point also 2 ways, and now is working perfectly. I hope you will understand. Thank You.
Wow VERY nice video Scroft! Two thumbs up!!!! Subscribed!
Thanks for the sub Steph

Many thanks for the tutorial , picking things up I didn't know about, like the left control and left click to create extra course points, great job.
Glad it helped!
Great video! :)
Thanks mate

Ok Chris, happy to help out. One episode releasing every day 👍

For the algorithm
And I have a question, what are the different colors of these lines under the rec button

This is a good question, I'm sure there is a way to do this but i can't for the life of me remember 😅
I dont have a mouse so how to I get out of camera mode?
