Hi, it's been fun watching your work so far :) I've admired this kit a long time & just got it for my birthday. Going to get paint tomorrow, I love your color!
Why thank you! It is my first and it was so much easier than i thought! It literally took me a week to plan/build fully minus all the interior complex details... to this day im still working on it 😂 lighting is supposed to be my next video but I technically still haven’t finished that since i started working on it room by room and i change my mind alot. ! I hope you enjoy as much as most of us mini builders do! It can be an addicting hobby ! But so satisfying
It took 3 nights to build the main structure because i waited for glue to dry. All the prep took 2 days and i use behr home paint mostly. Love the thickness of it. The primer was a store brand i don’t remember but I believe i show it- it wasn’t necessary in my opinion in the end.
Are you painting the top of the roof? I haven't built a kit myself, I have an old one and a small house of the same kit, but everyone who has experience building them say NOT to put paint on the wood anywhere you plan to glue other wood to it, like tabs into slots for wall construction, or shingles on the roof. Wood glue sticks best to bare wood surfaces plus the paint can add thickness to the wood and needs to be sanded off or down to make the pieces fit again.
Thank you. The wood that comes with the kit is all 3/8 inch. All dimensions are available on www.realgoodtoys.com/products/victorias-farmhouse-dollhouse-kit
I work on it everyday on instagram. My son passed away so i dont have the patience to sit and edit a long video but i do post daily on instagram/facebook. However I literally JUST redid my whole social media for my art so its all gone atm.. but i am uploading old as well as current updates.
On instagram for my dollhouses is @for_littlefatima - doing a bit of rebranding to start taking my art more serious again. Its been 2 years since he passed and i only recently started feeling motivated so i am sorry for the wait but i will get working on videos soon! :) i appreciate your disappointment as it is encouraging. Bless you.
Hi! Putting the house took about a month, i glued 2-3 things a day and let dry almost 24 hours to make sure everything was as secure as possible.. so i did not film that process but i did take HUNDREDS of pictures. I am currently working on several slideshows using the images for steps guides and detail process inspiration. Hope you see them when I post! And thanks for asking!
@@TheTimitater ok thank you so much! I have the same one and I'm in the process of putting it together. I'll be on the lookout for that video! Thank you!
Love those tiny little knee caps in part one.

If you are interested, i do post almost every week what im working on, on Instagram. My name is same there :) ❤️
I'm very familiar with the concept of changing ones mind a lot, lol! I haven't been on ig in a long time, but would be fun to find you there :)
I'm thinking of building this same exact house just to occupy my time this winter.
Tip for painting using latex paint. Thin with alcohol, not water.
Sanding between coats makes for a nice smooth finish (but is time consuming!)
What kinda paint did you use how long did it take you to build it

Yea im sure thats all true i just adapt everything.
I didnt paint the roof because i was planning on glueing shingles to it so thatd be a waste of paint.
Great work , can you tell me the thickness of wood

The music is nice but in this case its very distracting. Might be nice if you could make it softer and more in the back ground.
Did you film putting the house together?
