Why is it that all bass or bass amp demos have some guy slapping along in solitude? Man, I wanna know if that stuff can stand against two fully stacked guitarists and the Muppet's Animal on drums! 90 percent of your costumers - we ain't no Jacos or Mark Kings! We're a bunch of mediocre, lazy 8th note pluckers - often making it worse with using a pick! Why is there never a bass product demo showing how the gear works in a situation it will most likely end up being used in - full band, no fancy fiddling, but laying a solid band foundation?
I own the rumble 200 combo and its the best sounding amp that I have ever played with on a budget. With a bass with active pick ups, it sure pounds and thumps like a boss and is loud enough to play over the drums as well as the guitar. This amp will shake your walls and windows apart and piss off all your neighbors lol
I bought the Rumble 500 combo so I didn't have to lug my giant bass rig around to practices...I love it! Sounds Great and has no problem putting out a lot of sound with LOTS of headroom to spare.

These amps are great , Ive had mine (Rumble 100 ) for 2 years I love the tone and the overdrive is over most of the dist pedals out there, you don't lose tone when you use it.
Noob question #1: What is the difference between Headphones and Line out? By looking at them I would say that they're of the same purpose therefore there is no difference, but I guess that's not the situation. Many Thanks!
Problem here guys is that you have this video on your site to demonstrate the Rumble 200 but it's not clear which amp you're playing in the video. You should isolate the Rumble 200 and post it as a demo because this is confusing. I understand that the Rumble 200 needs the extra cabinet to get the full 200 Watts so why not explain all that and do a different video.
I thought the demo was poor except for the slap bass, 😂I'm hoping that was generally a poor recording of a 15 watt. I just have a stagg Ba 20 in comparison to what I just heard the second hand stagg is brilliant.
It's the mix. The amp sounds great in person, very clean. The overdrive can do anything from a little bit of fuzz to Cliff Burton-type gain. Try one out if you can.
It all sounds unnaturally bright to be. And what's with all the overdriven sounds? And there's an overload distortion in the recording. The Fender may put out a great sound but you can't tell from this video.
I think it is a 200. The way the mic is posed it must be a one speaker cabinet. So it cant be a 500 but he says 500 watt and touches the combo. So maybe the one on the bottom is the 500. It cant be a 100 watt because the width and height of this combo would be smaller and more like a square, while 200 and 500 have the same size. So its the 15 inch speaker I think
+Nicholas Alexander yeah buddy, i use a 100 watt Ashdown Five Fifteen Mini-Rig for small shows. Basically, going DI to the PA, the amp just works as stage sound, and me and my drummer have never had a problem hearing it, so 150 watts should be more than enough for you.
+Nicholas Alexander depends on what your fellow guitarist use (amps, cabs). if u got a drummer who doesnt know dynamics, and have two guitarist who think theyre slash with 50 and 100w marshalls with 4x12 cabs, ud better get an ampeg svt full stack, maybe two.......anyway, if your band is all micd in a small club, all u need for the backline if for you to hear it, and let the pa do the rest out front. some of the tightest small club bands ive heard use lil combos micd, only bass kick and toms micd, and you're set. but honestly i dont see any point in having a combo, half stack that isnt at least 400w. you can always turn down the volume, but if your maxed out on 150w and cant hear squat (your bass), then may the force be with you.....lol
This video was a waste of time. You didn't even demo the other amps in the room to distinguish the different sounds you would get with a higher or a lower watt amp. Thumbs down for the help with me deciding on a bass amp.
They should have kept with the Bassman name it sounds classy and well, Fenderish. Rumble?....yuch sounds horrible. If I wanted my bass to "Rumble" I would have bought a crappy Hartke or Behringer..no thks.
Although I like the Fender Rumble 500 head and the 410 cab, I WILL NEVER BUY ANY FENDER BASS EQUIPMENT!!! The reason being,Fender bought one of the greatest bass amp and speaker manufactor's ever that being SWR (who dominated the bass market for quite a while) and let it fall by the waiste side to start to produce a bunch of crap that they want to call bass equipment!!! If you're a beginner then go for this, but if you're for real about playing bass stay far away from this stuff because it doesn't compare to any real bass equipment!!! If Fender had any smarts about them them they would certainly bring back SWR real fast. P.S. Fender never did make any good bass equipment and still doesn't.
Fender bass amps are only usable as rhythm guitar amps for oldies tunes. Fender as amps are garbage, I know because I bought one, don't make the same mistake.
Is it possible that you such and it isn't the amps at all? Considering the fact that many of the greatest players in the history of electric instruments use Fender amps, I'd venture a guess that the problem isn't the amplifiers in your case.
I have two fmic bass amps and a concert 60 on the shelf...they're on the shelf because they were built so poorly that they won't go 7 hours without breaking down. Let me quote the fender tech who first worked on the 500..."this amp is a turd." If fender's own tech admits that the factory work was shabby, I'm inclined to believe him. As to the old vs new, this amp was built in 2009, and it's a piece of american-made shit from corona california, so fuck fender amps...give me a strat, a tele, any guitar that Leo designed...once he sold the company they were finished with innovation and have essentially been living off of his ideas ever since, so regarding their amp dept., I'll say it again, fuck 'em and the horse they rode in on. Amps that break down as often as these have are not what Leo ever had in mind.

+belugasemmel I've used them in a band situation. They sit in the mix really well
*****
Paul? I didn't know you played guitar! THE BRITISH ARE COMING! STRUM AWAY BOYS!
+belugasemmel You said it best brother
Amen.
I slow clapped while reading your comment. Stopped to type this.

Rob Skinner it has 2 much bass and distortion in my opinion
The 500 watt 2x10 shakes my entire house. And I have a firstly large house. Going to get a 4x10 extension here in a bit.
I bought the Rumble 500 combo so I didn't have to lug my giant bass rig around to practices...I love it! Sounds Great and has no problem putting out a lot of sound with LOTS of headroom to spare.

My back thanks Fender for making my 100 so lightweight.
Fender rumble bass amps has clean and nice tone.
Is it chargeable or are batteries used ?
Love seeing bass demos with pick. Not enough out there
Just bought my 200 today love it...
The lows do saturate a little....but the price ...makes up for small defect.
Sounds amazing.
Fender bought out SWR bass amps a year before this..
Are playing playing through a 200 or 500 combo?
Noob question #1:
What is the difference between Headphones and Line out?
By looking at them I would say that they're of the same purpose therefore there is no difference, but I guess that's not the situation.
Many Thanks!
Headphone out provides the signal at an appropriate level for headphones, and the line out is a lot louder as to go into a mixer or audio interface.
Did i read the info on this wrong or is it able to be connected to additional cab? if so this would be the perfect combo for me atm
you can connect the 200w and 500w combos to extra cabs, if I'm not mistaken.

did anyone notice that in the very low frequencies it saturates?? I mean anyone knows if it comes from the amp or the mix is saturated?
It's the mix. The amp sounds great in person, very clean. The overdrive can do anything from a little bit of fuzz to Cliff Burton-type gain. Try one out if you can.
Thanks for your reply Nathan, I'm looking forward to buy one.
No problem. I hope you end up liking yours as much as I like mine.
It all sounds unnaturally bright to be. And what's with all the overdriven sounds? And there's an overload distortion in the recording. The Fender may put out a great sound but you can't tell from this video.
sthat Stu Hamm at 2:13?
Nice video
This amp gigs well in small to medium shows. Here's an example of our last show. ua-cam.com/video/IiTa_Arrhac/v-deo.html
sounds good, what wattage is yours?
It is the 150. We have a 100 too that is pretty loud. With DI and a good engineer, the size doesn't really matter.
was it the fender rumble 200 or the 500?
@artpopart: Thank you, this was actually very helpful. :) Cheers.
are they using the 100 or the 200?
japas It's the same preamp. They'll sound exactly the same
@@TheBigMrJGC Yeah, I was asking because of the size of the amp
I think it is a 200. The way the mic is posed it must be a one speaker cabinet. So it cant be a 500 but he says 500 watt and touches the combo. So maybe the one on the bottom is the 500. Real question, would a 150 watt bass combo amp with PA support work for small venues, max 500 people? would two?
+Nicholas Alexander yeah buddy, i use a 100 watt Ashdown Five Fifteen Mini-Rig for small shows. Basically, going DI to the PA, the amp just works as stage sound, and me and my drummer have never had a problem hearing it, so 150 watts should be more than enough for you.

Is there any input for active bass?
No, one input, but a gain knob. You have to manually compensate. But it's not hard to hear clipping and turn a dial, thankfully :-)
How loud is it? I wanna play with a very loud rock band, is it enough?
Romulo Ferreira get the big ones
sweet
WOW, all amps sounds the same !
2:52 you aren't fooling anyone. We all know you want to be Jaco
+kilbo98 No one can touch Jaco
Sorry sounds bad... think it's the mic placement...
vers 1 huh
this is a video about good bass players. not bass amps.
I was hoping they would do a demo, too.
That is a bloody terrible advertisement for a range of Fender amps..
What the hell were you guys thinking,?
This video was a waste of time. You didn't even demo the other amps in the room to distinguish the different sounds you would get with a higher or a lower watt amp. Thumbs down for the help with me deciding on a bass amp.
Next time try carbon fiber >:| lol just joking
They should have kept with the Bassman name it sounds classy and well, Fenderish. Rumble?....yuch sounds horrible. If I wanted my bass to "Rumble" I would have bought a crappy Hartke or Behringer..no thks.
i have to say a lot of those tones sounded AWFUL! but i still want one of these for the great sounds it does produce
Can it handle gigs for say 200-300 capacity?
anybody know if these, like too damn many these days, are chinese made? if so, ain't interested at any price........
77gitrzan they are made in Indonesia but are excellent quality and how a great versatile sound, I own one and would highly recommend
sure shot airgunning barnes thanks, guy! sales cats can bs ya no end, so there's no better way than 'ask the man who owns one'
77gitrzan I have the rumble 500 with 2x10 extension. Well made, plenty loud and it fits into the trunk of my car
If it does the job and sounds great, who cares where it came from?
Presenter was OK. Enjoyed the slap bass other than that pretty poor, not impressed
Sounds like a wet fart
Would sound better if you play using your fingers instead of playing bass like a guitar. The way it was made to olay

Wat would u suggest
So we dare not like it even if we like it? You sound like a gear snob.

sinn catha
Congrats, you've been nominated for the"Dumbest UA-cam Comment of 2015" award.
sinn catha fender is one of the the most popular amp brands before marshall
+sinn catha You must be thinking of the late 50's Bassmans. The new bass amps are an entirely different animal.
I have two fmic bass amps and a concert 60 on the shelf...they're on the shelf because they were built so poorly that they won't go 7 hours without breaking down.
