- It was time for the much-anticipated PBA Junior National Championship. 13 year old Bella Love Castillo took on 15 year old Kaitlyn Stull. Stull would top Castillo in the first match and take home the female junior championship. Then in the second match, Jakob Robertson took on Zach Andresen. Robertson narrowly defeated Andresen and would take home the male junior championship. Then it was time for doubles. Dasha Kovalova and Castillo would take on Danielle Mcewan and Stull. McEwan and Stull advanced to the doubles finals. Then it was time for the men’s between E.J. Tackett and Robertson who took on Kyle Troup and Zach Andresen. Trout and Andresen almost bowled a perfect game and advanced to the finals. McEwan and Stull proved to be too much for the men and took home the doubles title.

watching Andresen bowl with what looked like a plugged and pitted ball ? i could see what looked like 2 prior drilled holes and 1 looked like it had a chunk missing in it. if so he is my favorite new bowler totally off road gonzo style. did anyone else see the same ???

Can’t take the blabbering and once they jinxed Bella I just muted it.
I don't know why this is, but it seems a bit strange to me that girls/women will always have a follow through ending with their hand behind their head with a snap, while boys/men rarely do...even a two-hander like Bella does this...

It affects the way the ball rolls and how much axis rotation they want. Guys typically have more speed to be able to control the excess rotation needed for a ton of angle. Whereas most female bowlers and I say most cuz you have bowlers like Daria who know how to do what the guys do, they keep the ball in front of them and stay up the back most of the time and don’t need to follow through to the opposite side of their head because they are trying to get the ball down the lane to delay reaction. Idk if that made sense but it’s what I’ve noticed

I watch Bella all the time she’s got ALOT to learn with her game but she is a good 2 hand bowler and with ALOT of practice I think she’ll be one of the BEST to do it she’s gotta work more with storm balls and not just playing urethane bowling balls watching this makes me wanna go practice on my skills now you know and I ain’t that great
If you watch her all the time you would know she uses her reactive more often then her urethane balls. But uses what's best for lane conditions! Plus she's openly said she doesn't want to be limited to a particular brand of balls.
It had nothing to do with ball selection the first game, she just wasn't making the right adjustment. She was dialed in, but needed a two or three board adjustment to the right. Really a failing of her coach more than anything

Not hitting the 5 pin on the first 2 pocket shots should have been an indicator. Don't know the fascination over urethane.

Not really! She was first going into the last match. Don’t forget ur talking about one of the best youth bowlers in the country. And given her age I’d say she’s doing just fine.
Kids these days want to get comfortable with that urethane, to me this isn't a pattern I'd ever play urethane, if your trying to give yourself any room and pin carry urethane is NOT in the bag of tricks for MOST patterns
