What a gorgeous compliment this is, Garden Joy! It's true that Leanne loves what she does so thank you very much for recognizing that in the video. This long and low centerpiece is one of our favorite designs and it works so well for a feasting table or even a family special event. We appreciate you spending some time with us to enjoy the show, and we hope to see you again soon. Best wishes to you and have an extraordinary week with flowers!
The alum and ice pick are two amazing techniques, Kathleen! We're so glad you noticed that in this video. Alum really does keep hydrangea fresh and beautiful by helping them drink more water. And the ice pick is a great way to open a hole for those delicate stemmed flowers like ranunculus. Thank you very much for stopping by to watch our show, and for that lovely compliment about Leanne's smile. We appreciate you being here today and we hope to see you again soon. Sending you best wishes and hope your holidays are delightful too!
What a beautiful compliment that is, Karen! We absolutely love sharing all aspects of floral design and floral education with all of you and any opportunity to do so is welcomed. This is a brilliant compliment, Jasmine! Leanne really enjoys sharing floral education because you inspire her to create more floral designs for all of you. That's very kind of you, Rens Creation! Thank you for your lovely comment and for taking the time to watch our show today. We are delighted to have you join us for Leanne's long and low centerpiece and we hope you enjoyed watching her create it. Wishing you a happy and peaceful weekend and please enjoy your time working with flowers!
A ice pick is such a handy tool to have,I would use one to put holes into fruit for cloves to use for Thanksgiving and Christmas arrangements, the smell was amazing and a great seasonal memory.
You are absolutely right, James! An ice pick makes it easy to insert soft stems into foam or other materials, or to do things like you suggested with cloves into fruit. It also saves you from making your foam into Swiss cheese too. Thank you so much for sharing that great tip with us and for watching our show today. We are always happy to have you with us and hope that we'll see you soon. Wishing you a peaceful and productive week working with flowers!
We agree with you, Nenita! This is such a lush and fabulous design and it makes a beautiful addition to any party or event. It's lovely to see you again and we are so glad you chose to join us to watch Leanne design. Please take care and wishing you the very best with all that you do!

You are most welcome, Roxanne! We love trying new mechanics to see how they work and the science of floral design is so interesting. The Tiara rose is an especially beautiful one and it was so much fun to include it in this lovely long and low centerpiece. We hope you enjoyed it all and are so grateful that you join us often for our shows. Wishing you all the best and please have a happy and special weekend!

All the best to you and please take care!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us! I'll definitely start using alum with my hydrangea centerpieces!!! This was a gorgeous piece as always. 😍
That's wonderful news, Denise! Alum works really well to help those hydrangeas drink enough water to be fresh and beautiful for your designs. We have it available on our website if you need it (bottom of the page): www.floraldesigninstitute.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3_17 Thank you so much for your happy and enthusiastic comments and please know how much we appreciate having you on our channel. It is beautiful, Isabel, and the colors are so lovely all together! Leanne is experimenting with the new mechanic to see how it supports floral designs of all kinds. It's interesting to see what happens with it. Thank you, as always, for joining us and we hope you will be able to be with us again soon or whenever it works best for you. Wishing you a week filled with peace, joy, and flowers of all kinds!
That's an interesting thought, Julio! This lovely long and low centerpiece has a wealth of flowers in it making it look rich and luxurious. It's really a joy to have at any celebration. That's a great point, Ankad5! On our website, we have a transcript of the show and you can find the recipe there in one of the last paragraphs: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/flower-school-long-and-low-centerpiece.html Thanks so much for watching our show today and please do join us again soon when you find the time. Wishing you all the best!
That's excellent news, Jennifer, and we are so glad to hear it! Thank you for letting us know that you are learning a lot from our shows. We love to share floral design and floral education with you and hope that you are enjoying it all. Wishing you a marvelous week in all that you do and please feel free to stop by again whenever you can!
Hello Jennifer! Thank you for letting us know that you are about to finish Basic Floral Design. If you have a moment, would you please reach out to our staff at 1-503-223-8089 or rose@floraldesigninstitute.com? We would love to chat with you about the process, and can help you plan your next steps for certification. Wishing you all the best and hope your weekend is a lovely one!
It's very beautiful. Truly accomplished. Just wonder where that big hydrangea went. Can't see it from here. Might as well have used left-over leaves as a filler to gain some height. But that color palette is amazing. The diversity of the textures used as well. Wouldn't be amiss on the table for an engagement or even a wedding.
Those are all excellent points, Garden Joy! The color palette is amazing on this fabulous floral design, and the textures are splendid as well. It would be perfect on the table for an engagement or a wedding or even a rehearsal dinner. Thank you for stopping by to see it and share in its beauty. We are happy you could join us and we look forward to hosting you again soon. Best wishes for a wonderful week with fabulous flowers!
We are delighted to hear it, Dalia! Thank you very much for being with us today. Leanne created such a gorgeous centerpiece that would grace any feasting table in a beautiful way. We are so happy you took time to watch our show and we invite you to join us again very soon. Have an extraordinary week and we wish you the very best!
Thank you for your feedback and for watching our show, Anna! We are so glad you could join us for this long and low centerpiece, and we hope to see you again soon for more magical floral design with Leanne. Wishing you a peaceful weekend with flowers!
That's an excellent idea, Randy! Leanne enjoys testing new products to see how they work and then sharing the results with all of you. This beautiful long and low centerpiece was a perfect place to try it out with all of these gorgeous blooms to cover the medium. Please let us know how it works for you and what style of design you create using it. We really appreciate you being here with us today and look forward to seeing you very soon!
That's a perfect description of this design, Nadia! It is both beautiful and elegant, and so lovely and lush too. We love your applause emojis and are so glad you took time to be with us today. Thank you very much for watching our show and we hope to see you again very soon. All the best to you!
This absolutely brilliant, 소백산날라리 농부, and we appreciate it very much! Thank you so much for sharing it with us and for being present on our show today. It is such a joy to share floral design with you and we hope it brings you peace and happiness. Wishing you a wonderful weekend, and please take care!
You are so right, Patsy! It is a beautiful long and low centerpiece that would be lovely addition to any celebration. It's interesting to see Leanne testing the new Agra Wool as an alternative as well. Thank you very much for being with us today and we hope you will join us again very soon. Wishing you a peaceful week and hope all goes well for you!
That's a great point, Natalia! It is tucked down low into the design along with the other flowers. We hope you enjoyed Leanne's beautiful creation overall. It is filled with so many lovely flowers, colors, and textures that will make your heart happy. Thanks so much for joining us today and we hope you will do so again soon. All the best to you!
That's an excellent suggestion, Huda! We can definitely add it to our list for future shows. Many floral designers do pieces for corporate events and it is a different kind of design depending on what is needed. Thanks so much for joining us to share this long and low centerpiece that Leanne created. We are so glad you could be here and hope to see you again soon. Best wishes for a joyous week with flowers!
That's an excellent suggestion, Deborah, and we appreciate it! The issue with pricing is the wide range of costs for materials in different regions in the USA and throughout the world, especially over the last year with changes in supply and demand. There are also a variety of formulas you can choose from as well and it may depend on your what is typical in your area. If you are interested in the specifics of pricing and the business of flowers, we did create a playlist that might be helpful to you: ua-cam.com/play/PLJbJF6YZAYyLFYFYDMFU-OYGtk9zleFhb.html Thank you so much for spending time with us today and we hope to see you again very soon for more delightful floral design with Leanne. Wishing you all the best!
That's a lovely comment, All Rounder Saawan! Thank you for sharing it and for watching our show today. We appreciate your presence on our channel and hope you will join us again very soon. Have a peaceful and wonderful week!
Good morning to you as well, Badewattie, and thank you for joining us today for Leanne's lovely centerpiece. We hope you enjoyed watching her create this beautiful design and we look forward to seeing you again very soon. Wishing you a wonderful week and please take care!
Cheers, Isabel, and thank you for being here with us too! It is a beautiful design and so perfect for any kind of occasion. We hope you like it as much as we do. Thank you for joining us today and we would love to see you again very soon. Have a peaceful and happy week with flowers!
That's an excellent question, Aimee! It's a new product called Agra Wool and it is made of It is made of basalt and sucrose. The basalt is an igneous rock, and the sucrose is cane or beet sugar. In your designs you would use it in a way that is similar to floral foam. We hope this information helps and look forward to sharing more floral design innovations with you. Thank you so much for watching our show today and we wish you all the best!
I have mixed feelings about status it dries out really quickly and I always think it’s just gonna break off is it a favorite flower g to o your Leanne?
That's an excellent question, Ike! Statice is a favorite of some designers and perhaps less so for others. When it is fresh, it is really lovely and adds a wonderful pop of color where needed. You could use other materials instead if you prefer. Thank you so much for spending time with us today and we hope you enjoyed this beautiful long and low centerpiece that Leanne created. Looking forward to seeing you soon and wishing you a superb week in the meantime!
It is a marvelous centerpiece, Charles! Thank you for stopping by to watch our show. We are glad you could visit us and we hope you enjoyed watching Leanne create this delightful floral design. Please join us again whenever you can and wishing you a lovely week!
That's an excellent question, Catty! The cost of flowers has been fluctuating wildly over the past two years so it would be challenging to give you an exact cost. We can give you a transcript of the video which has the recipe for this design at the end, and you could calculate the amount based on the cost of flowers in your area, which might be a better indicator and give you a more accurate estimate. You can find the transcript here: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/flower-school-long-and-low-centerpiece.html Thank you very much for taking the time to watch our show and we hope that you will join us again very soon for more marvelous floral design. Wishing you a peaceful and delightful week and we hope it will be filled with flowers too!
That's an interesting question, Brenda! The hydrangea is there to help cover the mechanics and the color draws the eye into the center of the design. It may be a little challenging to see that on camera, but you would see the effect if you were looking at the design in person. Thanks so much for joining us again today, and we are so glad when you are with us for our shows. Please take care and have a superb week!
That's a great question, Iriselda! Several floral wholesalers at the Portland Flower Market carry different kinds of materials so we are able to pick these things up there. If you search for Agra-wool on-line, you might find another way to purchase it as well. Thank you so much for taking time to watch our show and we hope you enjoyed watching Leanne place these gorgeous flowers into a beautiful low and long centerpiece. We are delighted that you joined us and we hope to see you soon. Best wishes to you!
Absolutely, Coatney! We are delighted to have you join us for fabulous floral design and hope that we'll see you as often as possible. Wishing you all the best!
You are most welcome, Shivam! This long and low centerpiece is one of our favorites. The flowers that Leanne chose are exquisite and we love the colors as well. We love your heart emojis, Ana Maria! Hope all is going well with you in Portugal. Thank you for joining us for Leanne's long and low centerpiece. The colors are so beautiful and the flowers and foliage she used are so perfect together. So glad to see you again on our show and we hope you will be with us soon. Have a fabulous weekend!
Hi Vika! Translated your question, but the meaning is still unclear. Would you please let us know what you are asking about so we can respond? Thanks very much for taking the time to watch our show today. We appreciate you being here with us. All the best!
That's an excellent question, Maryte! Leanne dips her hydrangeas in alum, which is a pickling spice. A pickling spice is used in the process of preparing and canning foods preserved in jars or bottles such as dill pickles, sour pickles, and sweet pickles. It also works on certain flowers as well. Hydrangeas need a lot of water to be fresh and beautiful, and alum helps them drink more. Thank you so much for watching our show today and we hope we'll see you very soon. P.S. Alum is available on our website (bottom of the page): www.floraldesigninstitute.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3_17 Wishing you a happy weekend and all the best!
Alum can also be found on most any spice rack @ Kroger, Publix, other grocery stores. Sometimes she quick dips first, then dips into the alum powder. Leanne/Flower School has many great techniques! I'm loving this new earthy Agra-Wool product. Thanks!
We're delighted by your emojis and are so glad you stopped by to see this lovely long and low centerpiece, Terpinator24! This is such a superb arrangement and so beautiful for any celebration table. Thank you for stopping by to watch the show, and we hope you will join us again whenever you can. Wishing you a peaceful week and hope you can enjoy flowers each and every day!
Thank you very much for your applause and thumbs up, Adriana! We love this design and are so glad that you do too. It is filled with so many delightful flowers that are sure to make your heart sing with joy. So happy you could join us to watch Leanne create it and we look forward to seeing you again very soon!

Amazing 🤩 can we see more for corporates meeting 💕thank you
That's an excellent suggestion, Huda! We can definitely add it to our list for future shows. Many floral designers do pieces for corporate events and it is a different kind of design depending on what is needed. Thanks so much for joining us to share this long and low centerpiece that Leanne created. We are so glad you could be here and hope to see you again soon. Best wishes for a joyous week with flowers!
beautiful as always Leanne, but can you talk about costing when you mention ingredients please.

I absolutely love this! What was the item you used that was similar to the floral foam? I couldn’t catch the name. I’ve been loving your channel 💐
Thankyouu maam💎
It is a marvelous centerpiece, Charles! Thank you for stopping by to watch our show. We are glad you could visit us and we hope you enjoyed watching Leanne create this delightful floral design. Please join us again whenever you can and wishing you a lovely week!
What is the total cost of teh flowers used?
Why do you need the hydrangea when one cannot see it at all?
That's an interesting question, Brenda! The hydrangea is there to help cover the mechanics and the color draws the eye into the center of the design. It may be a little challenging to see that on camera, but you would see the effect if you were looking at the design in person. Thanks so much for joining us again today, and we are so glad when you are with us for our shows. Please take care and have a superb week!
Hi ! Where did you purchase the Agra -Wool foam?
That's a great question, Iriselda! Several floral wholesalers at the Portland Flower Market carry different kinds of materials so we are able to pick these things up there. If you search for Agra-wool on-line, you might find another way to purchase it as well. Thank you so much for taking time to watch our show and we hope you enjoyed watching Leanne place these gorgeous flowers into a beautiful low and long centerpiece. We are delighted that you joined us and we hope to see you soon. Best wishes to you!

Как Вам понравилось работать с экопеной?😵💛
Hi Vika! Translated your question, but the meaning is still unclear. Would you please let us know what you are asking about so we can respond? Thanks very much for taking the time to watch our show today. We appreciate you being here with us. All the best!
What is pickelam spice (not sure how it's spells)
Thanks!
❤🎉
