New sub here. Im 53 and battling cancer. I've been away from the hobby for 30 years and bought one of these little crawlers I love the information you've been giving
Just got a new one of these and I'm pretty sure the stock rear steer server is shot strait out of the box. Not positive but when you hit the rear wheel it shakes uncontrollably until you grab it to stop them. Is that what is happening?
It's the way I would recommend to do the sliders also because they can be a pain in the ass trying to make sure they set they're just right by you get this screw through
I know you've mentioned not liking watching build vid's and I'm sure they are a lot more work to produce. ut, you did a real nice job filming and voicing this vid. 👍👍👍👍👍
As always good video! Hard part for me is just the cost: $280 in total for a great slow crawl 24 with no weight down low and stock tires and servos. I know people dump crazy money in them, just sharing my take.
I was having similar thoughts. Been looking at getting into some rock crawling / bashing, and looked at this car because I like the smaller size and somewhat reasonable price. But with what looks like "minimum requirement mods" to get a decent crawler out of it, the price starts going up really fast. I mean... This Furitek set is almost as much as the car itself... I'm honestly starting to wonder if paying a bit more for a 1/10 car would be better in the long run as you'd be starting out with a more capable platform? But dang... These minicars are cute...
Only thing with 10th scale crawlers or models in general is space and areas to run. The micros can be run in the garage or living room and one can build some good, lightweight and portable courses with liquid expanding foam for rocks. Finding good crawl areas for bigger models is trickier and usually requires traveling from home.
Thanks for the build video! I bought the same system and the motor hits the front drive shaft during full compression. There is a perfect groove around the drive shaft where it is rubbing. Also, with the broken hardware..I have had great luck with the Engineer PZ-57 Screw pliers. Grips the cap and shaft of M1.4 hardware with ease.
Good thing you had access to get that busted screw out!!! I'm really starting to think having a few tap and dies on hand, in the usual sizes for these might be a good idea. Just to quickly run through the screw holes and over the screw threads. Not all breaks are possible to remove and that can be a heartbreak if its a pricey part you waited months to get. So hard to see and/or feel when these little tooth pick size fasteners are binding or cross-threaded.
Good vid. I got an ax24 and 1st thing i did was throw it on an angled board and get a baseline for how many degrees it takes to flop in every direction. Well, after 5 min of driving, the nut for one of the top links fell off and i cant find a replacement. What size is it? Lhs's have no idea and cant help me. Do you know? Lol
Thanks! I think you may be talking about the tiny 1.4mm nuts. MofoRC has them here www.moforc.com/products/teeny-tiny-nuts-precision-stainless-steel-1-4mm-stock-scx24-screw-size-pitch-nuts-sold-in-10-pack
You know, you could use the Spektrum SLR300 receiver to get rid of the stock ESC... will bind with the stock Transmitter and 4WS will be the same... Nice done with the brushless ❤
Yeah I honestly just ditch the stock receiver/esc altogether myself and go with a micro receiver for my flysky. Just wanted to show how this works with the stock stuff for the vid.
Wanted a furitek for sooo long finally was able to do it got the Stella transmission with the mini and when I ordered the ESC I ordered the V2 instead of the pro didn't realize it until I tried to mess with the settings. So mad but still an awesome ESC and I don't ever plan on running 3s anyways. But just the point for the extra 10 more dollars I could have got the pro
@@2fmrc no complaints 👌 it's incredible but that thought of its technology not as good 😆 although I could probably never tell the difference I was happy as a pig in s*** until I realized I screwed up lol
That's awesome. I have enough upgrades to basically change every part but I might as well wait until the ogrc arrives and do the similar upgrade to what you just done then add the other parts to add weight to it. I find it too light now which makes it top heavy. I have a small receiver and should switch that out now. Along with the injora links, axles. My tires I have that are after market all seem too small compared to stock. What brand 3s is good for the 24's? I got a pair in today that I thought would be small enough but they are way too big.
I just bought and installed a Komodo a couple weeks ago. I really wish I would have known the stinger was a thing. Looks like the center of gravity is much lower 😫
Yea the price is outta control on 24 upgrades lately. I just got a hobby wing fusion pro 2in1 for 140. And got the furitek lizard pro mini komodo with stellar trans for 150. I kinda gave up on 24s for now just cause prices for parts for now sticking with the big boys for summer come back to 24s in winter lol
Furitek is very specific on only fitting the stock transmission. Well my ear came off and I need a new transmission housing. I'd like to get something better than stock but still fit the brushless system. Any ideas ?
Aawesome video as always dude!!!!! I've been following along and using all your tips on my AX24 Love the look of it with those tall wheels... they give it insane clearance...lol Thank you!!!!
You would just set up the rear steer for a channel on your new transmitter. So it depends what transmitter you’re using really. When I swap to the flysky gt5 for example I put my rear steer on the ch5 knob usually.
Hi u obviously have the best channel for scx24 keep the content coming. Ive been gone from the hobby for about 1 year now. I have 4 heavily modded scx24s And i was wondering is it worth getting a asx24? Is thwr a big difference ?what are your thoughts what can itvdo that the scx cant?

Although I see potential in this rig, it seem it requires so much more to getting working decent. From throttle to the rear steering. It’s a tough sell for me.
Nice grab Matt. For once in my life I'm ahead of ya on the SS build. Your normally ahead of me by months😂. Check out the Akkers 1.9s shhh don't tell everyone 😂😂👍🤠👍
Every time I see anything on an AX24 I just think about how odd of a design it is. It looks like it should be a MOA. Appears to be difficult to mod without just hacking it into basically a flat rail chassis. Compared to what FMS & affiliates are putting out Axial is looking like they are falling far behind.
annoying that furitek links this video for instructions and its 5 solid minutes of this dude yacking before he starts the install and then the install process itself is sped up to mach 3. I JUST WANNA PLAY WITH MY TOY TRUCK
😆 then you better get to work! So I shouldn’t even show how it’s an improvement? Just let people take my word for it? Wow amazing great video !!!
Great video! Would love a video on the Bluetooth and how you set up your throttle curves and punch settings.
I rarely ever adjust them lol
I'm waiting for a chassis delete kit and then I may go this route. Have you heard of anything yet for the ax24 chassis?
