2:00 I think I finally figured out what I found odd about your forehand. It's that left arm staying close to the chest area. I think correcting that should help you get more body rotation and easier power.
I thought for sure the ezone 98 was going to be my next frame. But after demoing it for a while I realized I don't like the extra long handle and the head shape. I am sure I could adjust but it just never felt natural to me. Despite playing with a 2006 Roddick Pure Drive forever, I found my favourite demos were the Head Prestige Pro, the Head Gravity Pro, and the Pro Staff 97. The Pro Staff wasn't even on my list - my friend got it for demo. But once I started playing with it, I felt like it encouraged everything I needed to focus on in my game. I started closing earlier and more often. Volleys were a treat. I love to swing fast and hard so I found myself sometimes having to check my swing with the Pure Drive especially with the unpredictable launch. With the Pro Staff I could really go for my shots and still feel like they would land where I wanted them. This made it easier to follow them in and I was better at putting the points away. Overall, I felt like the Pro Staff 97 encouraged me to leave the safety of the baseline to become the more all court player I wanted to be. It helped that my friend Trevor kept beating me at the baseline so really just doing anything different was helpful. 🙃 Anyway, I am a soft 4.0 player in all honesty. But I have decent mechanics and take pretty big cuts. Don't let the Pro Staff intimidate you - you might find the control is more helpful than you imagine. I would highly encourage anyone in the intermediate+ camp to demo this racquet because it encouraged modern players to do more of the stuff they probably avoid: coming to the net and ending the point earlier.
Brooo just started using the rf97 pro staff and I feel the same way. I have both. The heavier one helps me play better but in general both pro staffs made me feel like I want to rush the net and the volleying is the best for any frame I ever used. The heavier one is Very stable and since I don’t have the fastest swing speed my arm doesn’t get as tired but I can still swing hard and get amazing feel with the ball staying it. And the pro staffs also never crossed my mind but my coach said this racket would be perfect for you
@@devpatel7154 I opted for solinco confidential to add more spin/safety but I am thinking of switching it up because I am struggling to flatten out and drive my shots with this setup a bit. What strings are you using with it right now?
@@telquel7843 honestly I don’t know. The thing is it was in my coach’s bag and he handed it to me. He’s like it’s too heavy for me but it would be perfect for you. I will say they are green and I think they are a poly. I will ask and let you know. It’s the only thing I’m still trying to figure out as well lol
Really feeling validated once again with my Yonex V Core 95 purchase. On the verge of. 4.5 player who likes to hit big. Mostly playing at high altitude (7k feet) so it's been a struggle with hitting the ball long. It really can affect my confidence some days. But the 95 is so easy to whip around that I am able to soften it up and hit more spin and keep it in the court. I will say, I went back to Ohio for a wedding and was able to sneak off and play with my best bud who is a very solid 4.5. I ended up having one of the best tennis days of my life. At sea level with the 95 I was able to really swing through the ball. We have some really awesome 10+ shot rallies and it felt great. Trying a bit higher tension to see if adding a little more control helps now that I am once again back at elevation.
@@TennCom I agree. It’s a huge adjustment and has some major drawbacks. But the trade off is amazing skiing and wonderful views. Point is, the v core 95 is an awesome stick!
Great idea to make a series like this, each ep. about frames for each playstyle. That u recommend per skill level is the cherry. Folks may quibble about this choice or that, but the intel about what to look for is gold, like this: 2:46!
Great video Beckett. I'm still missing the Pure Aero 98 in your videos 🙂. I find it great on volleys and touch shots as well as blasting topspin shots from the baseline.
@@HectorGarcia-nb2ld In what way for you? In my opinion, it's not a bad frame, just does not suit my game style and preferences at all. I currently use both versions of the pro staff v14 and I love the feel and control of these rackets. In my opinion, the pure aero is a little too muted for my taste and doesn't work with my flatter forehand with a spinner one-hand backhand.
I am still using the Yonex vcore 95sv. A played with a prince 110 head for about five years, tried a Yonex 97 head, before moving to this rac. With the age factor (69) 64 at the time of purchase, a weird disease that causes rhabdo, and tons of injuries; I thought it would make sense to get a rac that wasn't too heavy and could move through the air easier. The negative side of that would be not enough volume to make up for mis hits. Although I keep trying to add more spin, people in my era were flatball hitters and so am I. I am comfortable all over the court with this rac. I made it up to 4.0 from 3.5 in my early 50s, but could train and still can at a much higher rate. I actually used to hit with players at a NAIA college team that had a pipeline of mostly international high-level players. One of the few American players is now a popular UA-camr. My main problem is figuring out string and string tension. I've also done a ton of weight and balance alterations. People my age normally hit with a large head. I ain't going to do it. I got excited when you got to the Yonex 95. Although it's not this particular rac I still could identify. The rac is good for an old, fat, brokedown rascal like me and I'm going to take it to my grave..☠️😳😁
Hahaha, when I used the SV95 I always liked split tensions (cross 2lbs looser than mains). Its what Yonex recommended at the time for the isometric head, but its less popular now with Yonex being more mainstream.
Nice test video, but you really need to try the Technifibre TF 40 315-16x19, and the TF40 305 16x19. I think you will really enjoy these frames as an all court player. Regards, Hayward
You are the review goat 🐐 (don't let it get to your head) The descriptions of which type of player you are really helped with a few rackets I want to demo. Thanks brotha man
Expert level players will surely like the Head Gravity Pro. Wilson Blade 18/20 surely has potential way above the PS. It needs some lead however, but expert level players should have no problem figuring that out. And I can remember a Tecnifibre with 18/19 Pattern that is quite awesome as well, but needs a firm hand to bring it to its ful potential. And not to forget the Yonex Regna, which offers a quite unique balance of everything, even feel is sensational due to no VDM built in.
I really appreciate this video. Very informative and to the point. Your insights IMHO are spot on point. And I appreciate the ‘honorable mention’ at the end as I have considered Dunlop in the past.
I play with the Wilson RF97 and the original Wilson K factor Six One 95 rackets. I like the Six One 95 on a faster court. The RF97 gives me more power. Both are excellent rackets. I practice with the jack kramer pro staff wood racket. After practicing with the jack kramer pro staff, playing with the RF97 and the Six One 95 rackets feel like badminton rackets. They’re so easy to play with.
I'm still usi first Taiwan iteration of PSC 6.1 95 18X20 but to improve in a more modern way my forehand I recently add a Boom Pro. Wonderful Classic feel and specs in a lighter and more forgiving as I often play on Clay. What's Is incredibile to me Is how old PS 6.1 95 are still valid after almost 30yrs, as the new ps97 feel pretty similar (with cheap manufacturing) but slighly better spin capabilities.
Fantastic video! I consider myself an all court player in the 4.0 NTRP range. Currently own the Pro Staff 97 and Ezone 98, so you are spot on. I play better tennis/win more points with the Ezone, but prefer the "raw" feel of the Pro Staff. Any tips on "crisper" string set-up for the Ezone that will give a more direct feel?
@@patricioab I would say they are quite different. The Ezone is lighter, easier to use, more powerful and has a more muted feel. The PS97 is more stable but difficult to use, more controlled and has a "crisper"/cleaner feel.
I like the tiny 95 inch head comment. I must be so disconnected from current tennis, even though I am not. How people can control these massive 100” powerful frames is beyond me though. Great review none the less.
Yonex Ezone 98 Tour (2020 especially) = THE best for advanced players. You can hit bombs on serve with amazing accuracy. Topspin is more than decent but works extremely well on flat shot. Control and precision is up there thanks to the dense 16x19 string pattern + the 98sq inch head size. Not the most manoeuverable though, but can be fixed by adding weight in the handle.
Ezone 98 Tour is for "genuinely advanced" players / professional players. If you do not have very solid tennis strokes, tennis form and tennis footwork, just do not waste your money to purchase it. ATP professionals will be more than happy to use this racquet (even just in stock form) if they do not bring their own racquets (on vacation) but want to play some tennis in a resort. To make it a 1st class weapon, careful/precise handle weighting is needed (in accordance with the player's swing style for different strokes). I still do not understand why Yonex makes it 4pts HL (strung). Modification is necessary for competitive play. Why not design it as READY TO USE (for both practice and competition) ?
Came upon this post recently. I would like to add my 2 cents and put in a vote for the Diadem Elevate Tour which I think will appeal to 3.5+ players more on the serve and volley side of the all court player.
Hi! Thanks for the video! I played with old pure strike, then countervail blade, the 16x19 pure strike and now Head Aux Speed Pro, love the control of the Head Speed and also very stable on volleys, I would put the head speed pro up there as a really solid option 😃
Hi Beckett, Great video as always. I recently switched from the Ezone 98 (2022) to the Ezone Tour 98 (2022) and it felt like the EZT was THE spec that brought out the best of this current mold. I felt so in-tuned with that racket that I didn't have to think about the racket when playing. I noticed that there isn't much content on this on your channel. I was hoping that you could cover this sleeper of a racket in your future videos.
Awesome that you are so dialed in with the racquet! I probably won't review that one for the channel because Tour versions of racquets don't get a ton of views so I won't be able to make the money back from the purchase price. Kind of a lame answer, sorry.
Another great vid guys! Did you spare a thought for tecnifibre iso 305? Is a heck of a weapon 😮. High swing weight is great for baseline grinding and defence
Great stick. For me, the things that hold it back from being on this list are the lack of weight in the handle, which made it tricky on volleys, and I wish the feel was a bit more precise and less muted.
Awesome vid, this was the kinda thing I needed as I've been wondering what kinda racquet is suited for an all-court game. I use the Gravity Pro which I love but isn't the most suited for all-court. I'm surprised you brought up the Aero 98 but didn't recommend. Was there something about it that paled in comparison to the other racquets?
I think the EZONE 98 and the Extreme Tour offer more creative option. The Aero is a great stick, but the twistweight is very high which won't suit everyone's needs. Low twistweight is nice to start with because you can always add weight.
I know the RF97 is not coming in a V14 paint job and it is maybe not being contnued. For the 5.0+ all court player, I think it offers more than the standard PS97. The extra weight helps the RF97 to create that truly heavy ball when struck cleanly. I agree with this video completely about the other frames mentioned would work also at higher levels. I am excited to see the video of suggested frames for counter punchers.
Yes, Whiteout review in the works. Will take some time. Trying to coordinate a chat with one of the lead engineers on the project so we can get some insight on Roman Prokes' involvement as well as the design choices that were made.
I recommend the often overlooked Mantis 310 PS III or Mantis 260 Performa tennis racquets for all court players looking for control, power, and confidence.
Thanks for the video mate. The Ezone 98 was too muted for me, and also the Yonex grip shape is not to my liking, thus I ended up with the Radical MP. The connected feel of the Radical MP is jsut amazing.
Hey man, I'm undecided between those two. I hit a one handed backhand and like to mix shots. I love Agassi so feel inclined to the radical but I'm afraid that the lower SW of the Yonex could be easier to use. I think im a soft 4.0. How did you decide to go with the radical??
@tenncom great video man! I appreciate the love for all-courtiers! I have been on the most exhausting racquet journey coming from using the six-one 95 and tour 90 racquets with some dabbling in k blade tour and aero storm tour racquets over the years. I stuck with the rf97 for years but don’t play enough to avoid arm issues anymore when I hit with futures/college players (Yes I’m 31 and not getting younger 😭). But I demoed the quite a few sticks and absolutely love the vcore 95. I haven’t ever been able to get my hands on the pa98 which makes me hesitant. I play with a very balanced all court game but love access to good spin and feel. At this point I just want to get something too lol. Which do you think is better for me?
The Aero 98 is quite a bit more powerful than the Aero Storm, even though it is that racquet's successor. In a lot of ways, it is sort of like a lighter RF97. Rock solid stability. Lots of spin when you commit to a full rip but still enough control so you feel like its ok to stay on the gas. Feel is far off from the VCORE 95 though. If you want something in between the VC95 and the RF97 but in an easy to swing package, the Pure Strike VS is probably th closest.
@@TennCom I play a pretty well rounded all court game and like to hit a combination of spins and power levels from the baseline. I am having a really hard time choosing between the vcore 95 and pa98! It’s frustrating. I’m wondering if I should go vcore to manage arm pain
Nice video! Im an aspiring all courter - more of a counterpuncher currently. Recently switched to vcore 98 which I love. Been trying poly tour rev but feels a bit mushy... which string would you recommend. Used to play with softer poly's and hybrids in a blade 98
Hi Beckett, I play singles and doubles competitively at 7 Utr. I was looking at the aero 98, whiteout 18x20, and radical mp. I have an explosive game and big swing like a mix of djokovic and alcaraz. I’m shorter at around 5’5, so some help from my racquet would be nice to help absorb pace. I need help deciding since all methods of demo are unavailable for me. I do plan on customizing
Yo becket been watching ur vids to see what to switch to. I’ve decided between the radical mp and whiteout 18x20. I play a lot of doubles and have a mixture of attacking and defensive counter punch game. I can’t demo so which one can help me absorb pace, I don’t mind customizing
Thanks for the video! I have a questions, do you think adding weight to the tip of the racquet slows down swing speed or increases the speed once it’s swinging? Thanks!
It should decrease swingspeed (or have no effect). The only way I can see it increasing swingspeed (or more specifically, tip speed) is if the new weight distribution caused you to extend your contact point further from your body.
Hey been loving ur videos. I was wondering would the aero 98 work well for 8 Utr+ doubles. I was thinking to switching. I plan on adding a leather grip to make it more HL
beckett, I noticed ps 97 wilson basically increased sw without increasing much weight. It's almost close to RFA level I am tempted to try it out. Do you have any recommendation for a manouverable stick? Also do you know if Wilson is going to launch an update for the RF version? Currently I have my game specked to RFA, I wonder if I should try out other frames. The reason I like RF over others is because its more stable on backhands unlike the lighter frames. anyway great content.
Thanks! I don't have any news about the RF sadly. I would recommend saving your RF's if they are in good condition. They will likely become collector's items if they don't release a new one. Cannot recommend the PS97 enough. Mine came in underspec for SW (326 with 17g string, as opposed to the 16g TW uses to test) and I felt much more comfortable using it than the v13. Way more power and stability.
Hi, thanks for the video! I would like to ask for your advice. I would like to buy a new racket as I unfortunately broke my old one (Gravity Pro 1st generation). I am looking for a racket that is similar to the Gravity Pro, but if possible minimally lighter (when a game goes on for more than 2 hours I sometimes notice slight fatigue.) and gives a little more "feedback". For me, the GP always felt a bit too "muffled". My previous racquets: About 15 years ago I started with an old Fischer racket of my father from the early 90s. My first own racket was a TopSpin x95 I loved the direct feel with it. I could control the balls well with it. Babolat Pure Strike 16/19 3rd Gen. I didn't get on with it and sold it after 3 months. Couldn't control my shots with it. Head Gravity Pro: I immediately played better with it. However, I never liked this "dead" feeling. Nevertheless, I've been playing it for almost 4 years. To sum again up: So I'm looking for a racket that is as similar as possible to the Gravity in terms of the "result", but if possible slightly lighter and a little more feedback. Sorry that I can't describe it in more detail, but I don't know anything about rackets. Sorry also for my bad English Thank you very very much!! Greats from Italy
One more thing about my game. I am 1.91 m tall and weigh 108 kg. So I'm not particularly agile but still quite strong... I would describe my technique as very good, although not perfect. I have a strong first serve, but it's not consistent enough. I go to the net rather averagely often. I play a one-handed backhand and slice very often. I'll just name everything I can think of, maybe it will help to better assess me. Once again, thank you very much.
I think the Radical Pro is probably your best option. Same static weight, lower swingweight, still hits and huge ball and offers a lot more feedback. If you want to stick with a 100, then the Prostaff X.
I recently switched from the trusty Babolat AeroPro Drives to *Head Speed Pro* : instant game transformation in almost every aspect! APD is a great stick but you really need the correct mechanics to get the optimum results _consistently._ Speed Pro + 5g lead in handle and 15g at 10 & 2 o'clock really is solid all over the court.
@@TennCom I know! Reminds me of the old days when I tried to replicate Sampras´ Prostaff Original. I had almost _20g_ with 3 layers, at 3 and 9 o´clock in that baby. Natural gut at 65lb. Note, I said ´tried´ to replicate it. 🙃
@@TennCom Customized Speed Pro doesn´t replicate the overall playability of the *Head Liquidmetal Radical MP **_Tour_* though. That´s just off-the-charts.
Hello Beckett. Great video as always 💪. What are your thoughts of the new prestige tour(old pro), on specs seems like a real competitor to the vcore 95 with maybe even more pop and stability. Would love to hear your thoughts on it. Mainly it is because I've tried a couple Yonex and I just hate the feel. Also how the gravity pro would compare in whipiness and power would be intersting.
I have and use the head prestige pro graphene 360+, so the new tour, idk about the new one but the one I use is definitely a pretty versatile racquet and it can do a lot of things well. Power is not a highlight of the racquet, but if you can create some racquet headspeed it will provide great control and pretty decent spin I must say. It´s definitely more classic feeling than one you can find on a Yonex racquet. It also looks great. Only thing it scares me from the new one compared to the one I use is the incremented swingweight, so it would probably not be as much of a whippy racquet but if you can wield that racquet I´m sure it´s a big big weapon.
Hey Beckett, I am planning on increasing my game. I’m around 6 utr. I was needing more forgiveness since I am a small and lighter player. I’ve been playing with a pro staff but want something easier to play with. I can’t demo where I live. I was looking at the aero 98, whiteout 18x20 , and blade 18x20. I play both doubles and singles at a high level. I plan on adding a leather grip since I’m used to the feel and don’t mind customizing. Which do you think I’d yield the best results
I think you will actually get the most success with the Radical MP. More connected feeling than the Aero and more forgiving than the Blade and Whiteout.
Hey im thinking of buying pure strike 16x19. What are your thoughts on the racket. And also im currently using head graphene 360 extreme tour. I love it from the base line and is amazing at counter punching as long as i can keep my strokes in front of me, but i have a very hard time finding lift when im being pushed to the edges of the court and im reaching a very low ball. Same issue comes up hitting midcourt. When they hit rockets at me is the most responsive racket ever but when i push for an easy ball back i have to slow down my swing speed massively to stay inside and it kills my flow. I demo the pure strike and the head felt super flexible for maneuverability.
I have been a mostly happy Extreme Tour user for the last couple of years but recently switched back to my Gravity Pro after stringing it with Velocity in the crosses (and Lynx Tour mains). My ET just got unweildy with all the lead I had to add for stability. And balls would still die at the out of the sweet spot. The Gravity with Velocity has cured the stability and sweet spot issue (and easier serving) while keeping very nice control, but at the cost of high weight, lack of maneuverability, and less spin. What would you recommend as an alternative?
no mentions for the tecnifibre TF40? All variants from that line are solid all court rackets. Decent weight, maneuverable, thin but not too thin beam. I think they are the best tecnifibre frames.
Revisiting this masterpiece to ask if you consider a weighted up Gravity MP to be a good baseline centric all court weapon for those 3.5-4.0 intermediates!! Thanks!
I prefer the Gravity MP for max-spin play. I found the 16x20 to be quite open and the soft flex made it tough for me to feel confident taking balls early. If you already have a GMP, I don't think you need to change or anything, just if you are considering buying one for this case, I probably wouldn't.
Hi Beckett, do you think that adding a leather grip and an overgrip to Tecnifibre Isoflex 305 is a good idea? I just got the racket and havent played with it yet but was just wondering. Thanks!
I always like to play with racquets in stock for first, but I found the leather grip really helped me get used to the rectangular grip shape that TF uses. I played so much better with the leather grip on the ISO.
I like the feel of leather in general, but I struggled with customizing the VC98. It really shines in stock form. Here's a vid that goes more in depth on my experience with it: ua-cam.com/video/PkMJ2WmnveI/v-deo.html In general, I think the VC98 is poor at net. Great from the baseline and potentially the best racquet for counter punching at the 4.0ish level, but i think the open string pattern holds it back for the all-court category
@@TennCom Thanks! Fair assessment. I've committed to it, at least for now, so I'm trying to get the most out of it. I think the leather grip makes it a little more solid at net, but it's not the best there. I did watch that other video, and read the article :). Thanks for the content!
Great video!! IMO Blade is a good option for advanced players if you are willing to customize, it’s a good and comfortable option to fit in your game :) but definitely, should not be in this video
I would like to take a look at Prince's ATS line. It sounds like they've done a great job with these frames. I've not liked many of the Volkl racquets I've tried (too muted) but I would love the change to try the C10 Pro and the Revo, as this is probably Volkl's most legendary mold. Last up would be the Pro Kennex Black Ace which I've seen quite a bit of buzz about. Seems like the Furi Arma Pro is a decent stick as well, but I always have my doubts about such new companies.
Can you recommend a racket for a 5.0 player in the Wilson or Head lineup that is suited for serve and volleys? I play mostly doubles now and my current gamer is the Head Extreme Tour. Love it for singles but not a fan for doubles. Thanks!
@@TennComlooking for solid feel in volleys and returns. Currently, my Head Extreme Tour is a bit too unstable in that department and I’m not one to customize a racket. Thanks for your question!
Hey Beckett, I just sold my Yonex Vcore pro 310 g since I feel I'm not that good when it comes to tennis. I strugle to make enough power with it due to not having a full swing and also being stiff ( gym 6x a week heavy weights not stretching enough) What would be your recommendation for someone at 4.0 lvl? I'm around 100 kg of muscle so it frustrates me a bit that I don't manage to generate more power :( ( I mainly play from the baseline and don't come often to the net)
My friend Simon (also on the channel sometimes) is about your weight except its mostly fat (although he tells me he's gained muscle and lost fat recently). The 2023 Pure Aero really helped him loosen up high whole body when compared to the Gravity Pro he was using before. Maybe take some videos of yourself playing and see if you notice any stiffness in the body. Sometimes when you work out that much, it can be hard to stay loose with your whole body. I even notice this if I do extra pushups one day, the next day my muscles feel all tingly and too strong which messes up my kinetic chain.
Took your advice on the Ezone 100 and honestly I’m starting to really like it. Using grapple snake tour sniper and honestly its been a good fit for me. Had to add some putty to the buttcap to make it more headlight but it’s great 👍
Hey dude, im stuck between on the whiteout 18x20 or radical mp. I’ve watched so many vids and both sound good. I have clean and explosive technique. I play a lot of doubles and singles very competitively.
In this video I explain why I chose the Whiteout over the Radical: ua-cam.com/video/PkMJ2WmnveI/v-deo.html I think if you play flatter, the Radical is a bit better. The Radical also offers more room for customization which might be a consideration.
Another racquet in which you have not tried as yet for the serve volley category would be the Pro Kennex Black Ace Pro 305 97 . It also seemed like you excluded in poss the baseline category , the Head prestige pro . Is there any personal reason for that other than a head heavy feel ?
@@TennCom I just spoke to Roman at rpny just 10 minutes ago and out of the various white outs , his presence is the 16x19 xtd . He has an exclusive at his shop , which is a 28 / 1 inch extended model . I may try in a week the 18x20 but I did not care for the regular and xtd 16x19 all that much .

No love for the Pure Drives or Strikes atm, I carefully considered the Aero but decided it was outclassed by other racquets. If it had a more connected feel, maybe.

Sea level tennis > elevation tennis. I play terrible in the mountains.
@@TennCom I agree. It’s a huge adjustment and has some major drawbacks. But the trade off is amazing skiing and wonderful views. Point is, the v core 95 is an awesome stick!

Time to transform this into a tier list!! Amazing work, as per usual
This is my absolute favorite series from you guys
Thanks! Counter Punchers next...
I'm trying to connect with Babolat to get one soon
The frame is terrible
I was really unhappy with how few fails beckett included in the B roll court footage this time, gotta pump those numbers up, man.
hahahaha apologies i will suck more in the future
Yeah, I love my Blade 18x20 V8. Much prefer it over my Pure Strike 2021 and 2020 which both I loved my backhand but felt stiff on all other shots
Excellent. A counterpunchers video like this one would be awesome. Thanks
Thats been on my mind lately for sure

@filipologi Is the ezone 98 easier than the pro staff 97? Or quite similar?
@@patricioab I would say they are quite different. The Ezone is lighter, easier to use, more powerful and has a more muted feel. The PS97 is more stable but difficult to use, more controlled and has a "crisper"/cleaner feel.
I like the tiny 95 inch head comment. I must be so disconnected from current tennis, even though I am not. How people can control these massive 100” powerful frames is beyond me though. Great review none the less.
Great video! I was secretly hoping you'd recommend the vcore 95 for 3.5 players but I guess my radical mp will do for now haha
I will delete video and reupload recommending it to 3.5's for you

Yonex needs to send you a Regna for all the recommendations
I agree I need an affiliate link that gives me Regnas
I think the Blade is the perfect mold for all court tennis, does everything well
Yonex Ezone 98 Tour (2020 especially) = THE best for advanced players.
I had a ez98t 2020 and loved it but I absolutely ruined my arm and shoulder
Hi Beckett,
Great video as always. I was hoping that you could cover this sleeper of a racket in your future videos.
maybe its extra weight?
Low twistweight is nice to start with because you can always add weight.
wilson blade v8 and pure aero would be the top 2 all court racquets in my opinion
Pure aero vs?
@@oapilef9911 vs/98/100, all extremely similar
Blade 98 and Blade 100 V7 of both and add weight to both. 4.0 players and above. You can make the ball “do what it do”!
I am excited to see the video of suggested frames for counter punchers.
it is tho
awesome vid as usual. whiteout review in the works?
Yes, Whiteout review in the works. Will take some time. Trying to coordinate a chat with one of the lead engineers on the project so we can get some insight on Roman Prokes' involvement as well as the design choices that were made.
I use and love the technifibre 100sqin racquet, you should give that one another look!
@@hu2mberto for me it was the feel. The Ezone was too muted for my taste. I do not think that you will have any issue with the Radical's SW.

I like the Blade 98 with added weight for 4.5 and above players
Nice video! Im an aspiring all courter - more of a counterpuncher currently. Recently switched to vcore 98 which I love. Been trying poly tour rev but feels a bit mushy... which string would you recommend. Used to play with softer poly's and hybrids in a blade 98
I really liked Solinco Confidential in the VCOREs
I think probably the Radical MP will be a bit more versatile + its lighter so easier to customize.
Is that a tissot prx?
good eye!
Hey been loving ur videos. I was wondering would the aero 98 work well for 8 Utr+ doubles. I was thinking to switching. I plan on adding a leather grip to make it more HL
I think that would be deadly for doubles
In which level would you place the Tecnifibre ISO 305 racket? Advanced, intermediate, or beginners
Advanced.
beckett, I noticed ps 97 wilson basically increased sw without increasing much weight.
What strings do you recommend for Radical 2023 MP?
My favourite setup (and I tried a few) was Grapplesnake Alpha. I think it plays well with a softer, slightly more powerful shaped poly.
My previous racquets:
About 15 years ago I started with an old Fischer racket of my father from the early 90s.
To sum again up:
So I'm looking for a racket that is as similar as possible to the Gravity in terms of the "result", but if possible slightly lighter and a little more feedback.
Sorry that I can't describe it in more detail, but I don't know anything about rackets. Sorry also for my bad English
Thank you very very much!!
Thank you so much!!
I recently switched from the trusty Babolat AeroPro Drives to *Head Speed Pro* : instant game transformation in almost every aspect!
APD is a great stick but you really need the correct mechanics to get the optimum results _consistently._
Speed Pro + 5g lead in handle and 15g at 10 & 2 o'clock really is solid all over the court.
lol 15g in the hoop
@@TennCom I know! Reminds me of the old days when I tried to replicate Sampras´ Prostaff Original. I had almost _20g_ with 3 layers, at 3 and 9 o´clock in that baby. Natural gut at 65lb.

Only thing it scares me from the new one compared to the one I use is the incremented swingweight, so it would probably not be as much of a whippy racquet but if you can wield that racquet I´m sure it´s a big big weapon.
what I meant is that it doesn’t offer a lot of free power but not that it’s not capable of producing powerful shots if the input is right
@@MarioGomez-kj5bc yeah yeah got it. With power I meant potential power of course.
Good stick, I gave it honourable mention at the end!
I first gave a thumbs down, because I felt racquet choices was strange. But changed it to up because of the effort put into the video.
Great topic, thanks!
thanks hommie
10:12 - 10:16. I had to come back to this video just to comment on what you said during those 3-4 seconds. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't like it at all, but my opinion shouldn't matter since you've already tested the racquet and had a good experience with it.
Came for the marketing bullshit, stayed for the Clash burn 🔥 🍿 And, yes, I Clash because I suck, but still love your vids! Keep up the good work 👊
that first step is acceptance, we'll be seeing your Road to 1 ATP Point soon enough
No Blades?
I have been a mostly happy Extreme Tour user for the last couple of years but recently switched back to my Gravity Pro after stringing it with Velocity in the crosses (and Lynx Tour mains). My ET just got unweildy with all the lead I had to add for stability. And balls would still die at the out of the sweet spot. The Gravity with Velocity has cured the stability and sweet spot issue (and easier serving) while keeping very nice control, but at the cost of high weight, lack of maneuverability, and less spin. What would you recommend as an alternative?
What kind of weight setups did you try with your Extreme? If you still have the racquet, I bet we can find something that works
You can play with the best tennis 🎾 racket is the strings you play with to and must be the right tension I'm playing tennis for 40 years now
no mentions for the tecnifibre TF40? All variants from that line are solid all court rackets. Decent weight, maneuverable, thin but not too thin beam. I think they are the best tecnifibre frames.
No shade, I just haven't tried that one yet.
@@TennCom thanks a lot!!
Where do you rank the VCORE 98? Specifically for 4.0 NTRP. Second question, what did you think of leather grip vs no leather grip on that racket?
I like the feel of leather in general, but I struggled with customizing the VC98. It really shines in stock form. Here's a vid that goes more in depth on my experience with it: ua-cam.com/video/PkMJ2WmnveI/v-deo.html
In general, I think the VC98 is poor at net.
Which is the best racket for beginner 3.0 guy?
Great video!! IMO Blade is a good option for advanced players if you are willing to customize, it’s a good and comfortable option to fit in your game :) but definitely, should not be in this video
I agree, the Blade has a lot of potential. IMO we are in a golden age of racquets, there are a lot of very strong choices now.
@@TennCom Yeap! That’s why i’m struggling with every single aspect on strings kkkkrying
Beckett are there any less popular racket brands you like or would like to try? (prince, volkl, etc)?
I would like to take a look at Prince's ATS line. It sounds like they've done a great job with these frames. I've not liked many of the Volkl racquets I've tried (too muted) but I would love the change to try the C10 Pro and the Revo, as this is probably Volkl's most legendary mold. Last up would be the Pro Kennex Black Ace which I've seen quite a bit of buzz about. Seems like the Furi Arma Pro is a decent stick as well, but I always have my doubts about such new companies.

I'm around 100 kg of muscle so it frustrates me a bit that I don't manage to generate more power :( ( I mainly play from the baseline and don't come often to the net)
release your wrist which is easy power
My friend Simon (also on the channel sometimes) is about your weight except its mostly fat (although he tells me he's gained muscle and lost fat recently). The 2023 Pure Aero really helped him loosen up high whole body when compared to the Gravity Pro he was using before. Maybe take some videos of yourself playing and see if you notice any stiffness in the body. Sometimes when you work out that much, it can be hard to stay loose with your whole body. I even notice this if I do extra pushups one day, the next day my muscles feel all tingly and too strong which messes up my kinetic chain.

@@TennComlast question, I think I’ll go with the radical, would it fit my alcaraz type swing
Another racquet in which you have not tried as yet for the serve volley category would be the Pro Kennex Black Ace Pro 305 97 . It also seemed like you excluded in poss the baseline category , the Head prestige pro . Is there any personal reason for that other than a head heavy feel ?
I think the Prestige Pro (formerly MP) is a bit soft for a lot of match play cases.
@@TennCom The overhead and running feel is quite heavy , were you would be chasing the ball down and yet not get ahead of it , in stock form . It is a very solid , feeling touch shot and running hit racquet . There is no racquet that I have tested , that is as accurately precise as this racquet. What playing category would you place this racquet in ?
The new gravity pro didn't make the cut? I saw you had it as an S tier racquet. Any reason it couldn't keep with the other choices?
Its very heavy which makes mid-court play a bit tougher. I prioritized maneuverability for this list and that's the main downside for the G Pro.
Head speed pro also makes a good run here
Love this guy
Hey Beckett I am Utr 2.5 I use a blade 100l v8 can you tell me a poly that is closer to the soft side with a little bit of more power than regular polys
At your level, I recommend nylon, ride or die

Yonex Regna the best all Court tennis racket
No Babolat racket made it!
Aero line almost made it but not quite
DO a video on best control raquet plz
This list is arguable a top control list from a competitive play perspective, but I think I can cook something up more to what you are looking for.
Pro Staff supremecy once again
Nice!
The answer is Yonex Regna 98
Damn dr. Evil found a new part time. Man the bald jokes go hard
no love for babolat?! Pure aero and Pure drive are revolutionary.
No love for the Pure Drives or Strikes atm, I carefully considered the Aero but decided it was outclassed by other racquets. If it had a more connected feel, maybe.
Blade 100?
His utr is 5
if the pro staff 100 is so good, why not 200

My eyes popout when he said the best all court is federer 😂 so i had to stop watching because you are being a fanboy.
Meanwhile there's the only one guy who won all masters 1000 not only once but twice and won each grand slam at least thrice. No need to name him anyway
Still can’t hear ‘tip awareness’ with a straight face…working on it…
I don't even like saying it at this point
