I’d love to see this game have a multiplayer aspect to it. Imagine getting to play this with a friend and actually act like a satellite survey team.

but one problem you need friends
Maybe make it like your both in different radio stations MILES away from each other and you have to communicate through either radios (duh), broadcast's and etc. and something can interrupt that broadcast so messages can be changed to something alien-like and unregconisable.
Its very likely being a multiplayer game eventually cause it really looks like the gmod engine so we already know it will work
Unfortunate that Signal Simulator is done and will go no farther, but it’s great to see that someone is carrying on it’s legacy.
signal simulator started a trend/genre that found its niche rather quickly and now it's a matter of time to see who can make the best game in that genre

I think the scariest part about all of this is that you feel alone but you're being stalked at the same time being forced to leave the base in order to fix the satellites is terrifying because you're vulnerable out there. Getting the message saying there is a gun in the garage gives you a bit of hope that you'll be able to protect yourself. And then you look for it you find out it's not there. I love slow burner horror games like these.

I haven't even watched past the intro yet, but I love that games are starting to take a dive into the genre of extra terrestrial horror themes. Edit: I know there are probably dozens of games with extraterrestrial themes but it's nice to see more as most of them don't really see much light, and are overshadowed by all the other genres with 10x as many games. It's just nice to see a genre gaining more interest.

@@UFC_Buffalo There really aren't that many, considering all of the new horror games being released. It's all supernatural stuff. The few promising looking games about extra-terrestrials that are coming out are still demos. So yeah, that's definitely a start of possibly a new trend.

It's crazy how much range the source engine has, I immediately knew it with that flashlight click sound.
Also the sounds are just so great in this game!
It's not made with Source, it's an Unreal 4 game. The only source/valve related thing are most of the sound effects being from HL/HL2/etc...

The first "black hole" probabily was one, but with alien structure around it, i think this structure was made to profit from the black hole's energy, like a solar panel or a turbine.
Those types ofstructures are said that can be created and have the name of "Dyson sphear" (you can find more info on UA-cam) they usually come in different styles but are told that they whould be created for obtaining the energy from most of the time, the sun but I think that it can be use as well for a black whole.
@@arinagudumac1804 Stellaris has a mod that adds something called a Penrose Sphere (amongst many other things) which is basically a Dyson Sphere for black holes. It's description is basically a shell made of mirrors and way to draw energy from the radiation from the black hole.

The structure around the "Black Hole" looks a lot like a Dyson Sphere. Essentially a stellar sized energy harvester.
Which is a structure that would also make sense around a black hole, so the scale of way off, the image is somewhat plausible.
Signal Simulator was the reason I subbed. Not sure why that one did it for me out of all your other videos. I enjoy them all, but for some reason SS really hit it off. Really look forward to this.

Its not, the rendering is a bit different, so is the camera smoothing.
The developer may have used the SFX from Gmod/HL2/HL1
So its not a source mod, the developer just used Gmod SFX.
I subbed when I came across them playing Generation Zero and The Isle just hooked me.

Impatiently waiting for the next episode to come out. Signal Sim was my favorite chill series to listen too at night and I would absolutely adore a return to form with Voices of the Void

I love this, honestly I would’ve named the singing black hole “gods eye” as at some points it had a white dot visible at the center, like a pupil. Also the singing sounded very holy
especially seeing as the bible explains angels to be entities made of eyes or say a big eye

I’ve watched other people play the game too but this mans is entertaining and the sequence of events he played thru and editing have been really immersive. Dyson Sphere is the first thing that came to mind when I saw the “black hole” image as well^^^^

The black hole looks like it's surrounded by Dyson rings- the same things sci-fi writers like to put around stars. It's theoretically possible to harvest energy from a black hole.

Why would you do that when stars are still around? Or rather why would someone in the past do that, when even more stars were around?
Kurzgesagt made a video talking about that. basically you'd build a highly reflective sphere around a blackhole just before the event horizon and then shoot a beam of light at juuuust the right angle so that the gravity well of the blackhole puts the light into an orbit around it that slams into the sides of the sphere and harvest energy from it by cracking it open every once in a while.
Or.
Keep it sealed shut until it builds up so much power it explodes into the Grandmother of all Bombs
Look up and read about the Penrose Engine (or Penrose Process). Basically turns a black hole into a simple engine

yoo thx for playing the game and shining light on the community. mrdrnose is a great developer that makes lots of cool games and projects like advanced education with viktor strobovski, and ive known him for 2 years so far. his other games are worth checking out. im also one of the people that did testing before the games release and i havent played it in a while because i got kinda burned out but ill play it again soon, so that there will be plenty of new stuff for me to explore

Did you know that there are many of huge satellites which are built so precisely that they move to only a few centre meters off of the ground. The ones in Parks Australia can do it and they were built and used for the first moon landing. It’s crazy the engineering that goes into them

The " Black Hole" at 15:50 could be possible a planet or something that has a, Dyson sphear , the Dyson sphears usually coms in different types but most of them are supposed to be perforated circles 'round the sun but in that case, or araund a ...black whole?
In theory You could build one around a black hole to weaponize it or maybe a structure that makes the immediate area around a black hole habitable?

Signal simulator was my favourite series ever that you’ve done, I’m so glad this game has come out it looks so promising. Also that ‘blackhole’ you got looks more like a biblically accurate angel, which coincidentally pairs with the strange sort of choir singing you could hear

Did you ever check the trash again after you cleaned it up? Seems a good way to measure outside activity while you are asleep, away, or just swapping hard drives. Do it enough times and you might find a pattern of outside activity. Imagine that all the creepy stuff is happening while you are sleeping. Imagine cleaning it up, going inside, come back out 3 minutes later to find something WAS JUST THERE…
Love how this manz is like the walls of the dream are textures when the floor of the room is the same thing i think they just used those texture's, truly a cool game i want to support this so much and prob will! Thanks IGP your kinda my comfort streamer while Im sick here with Covid

13:00 that “craft” he’s talking about resembles (in my eyes) a dyson sphere, something that i’m pretty sure (don’t quote me on this) an type 2 or 3 civilization can create to harness the full energy of their star. It drains all energy and elements from it, leaving a husk, or a brown star, or in some cases a black hole.
Doesn’t really drain it. It just harvests the energy from a star. Think really efficient solar panels that are right next to the sun.

The physics and sound effects remind me of the source engine (the engine Gmod uses) but I don't think it's in Gmod.

That astronaut one reminds me of the song Major Tom, it's about a man getting flinged out into space never to be seen again. It's rumored to be real, sense two different people, one from the U.S.A (I think) then a German, wrote songs that didn't know each other. They have different lyrics if I remember correctly, but they both have the line "Give my wife my love, then nothing more." I would definitely go check out the song!
As a fan of the original Signal Simulator series, it brings me great joy to see a similar game on the channel again. Please do a part 2, this game looks awesome too!
