Rapture’s found a way into my heart and it always keeps me coming back, after all these years. I would do anything to experience this game for the first time all over again.
This is very late but some guy remade the first 8 levels of Bioshock within Half-Life Alyx using the Modding Tools. If you have a VR Headset, download the Bioshock Mod for Half-Life Alyx and enjoy. It's the closest I've come to experiencing the game for the first time again, and is way more immersive due to it being in VR. I really hope we get a Port of all Bioshock games into VR.
i wish you could play a bioshock game where you can roam around rapture doing missions while rapture was in its prime before its downfall . i don't count burial at sea for this
@@stickle5034 Rapture is too claustrophobic to be an open world. Areas are small and traversal options are limited, and since it's underwater, the player would be stuck having to go through endless tubes to get anywhere. Even if they did go through the effort to redesign it to make it suitable for an open world, it would lose the atmosphere. They'll probably have a new setting. Last time I checked, some rumours were going around that the game will be set in 1960s London, with the game dealing with Plasmid addicts who have overrun the city after the product became available on the surface.
Eh. Life before the bedlam would be like any other city, probably. New Mission: mail in your bills New Mission: buy groceries New Mission: pitch your idea to investors. Mission Failed New Mission: go to the bar then therapy
then i believe it was really mesmerizing when rapture was still in good condition before the chaos.... just look at rapture in bioshock burial at sea, everything potrayed so elegant, majestic, pure art deco and wonderful
same:') the only way i can get any work done these days is by tuning in to some rapture ambience and picturing myself in a cafe at the bottom of the ocean
i swear to all possibilities, if i have adequate money to build a big house, its gonna be full of art deco architecture and wonderful as rapture in its prime time
It's become a little New Year's tradition of mine to replay _BioShock._ All these years later, knowing the game almost off by heart, and I still get the chills upon seeing that foreboding lighthouse in the moonlight. Like you've portrayed here, it's that sad, lonely feeling that keeps me coming back. Lovely.
This "after the end" scenes always make me question, how it feels living in Rapture before all hell break loose. Since this place is Ayn Rand's wet dream how well it treat people with different income brackets. How they fund a project this big? How well they treat workers who did jobs like putting those signs inside and outside. How the sanitation work. Is there even an army of workers and engineers keeping this city running smoothly? How it feels walking around town during its heydays. What kind of security force and law they have since this place not working under any govt or religion. Too many questions.
Most or all of these questions are answered in the novel: basically with the income brackets you either had luck or not, someone else has more money than you and makes a better store that sells more stuff than you? then its your own fault for not advertising enough and not offering competition, food, healthcare, security, fire department and stuff was all state-owned, and if you couldnt afford it, tough luck The poor lived in shady apartments and hotels, the rich in suites and houses For how it was made: Ryan became in industrial mogul during the second world war, and post war he assembled like minded individuals and combined all the resources. they made the city itself using a deep-sea platform, deep-sea welders and construction workers, and the starting city was prefabricated piece by piece, the full construction took 11 years as for workers, ryan usid his charisma and utopian views to sway hard-working men and their families to run construction/work for the city.
@@beatingstuff88 thank you for the insight of Rapture. I bet the labours who worked their ass off to build Rapture were the one who got the short end of the stick.
Who would dislike this lol In all seriousness though I just found this channel and it's a brilliant and underrated idea showing beautiful game worlds, I can't believe some big channel hasn't thought of this idea sooner or stolen the idea already. Glad this one wasn't crushed.
Oh, little things really. They replaced textures and designs where they really shouldn't have. One big example I can give you is at the very start of the game. They added starfish to a very bleak scene. They're small and in the background, but the lighting of the scene utilizes high contrasts, making the shapes pop out while bloody murder is going on in the foreground. And during the opening cutscene in the plane they changed one of the models of the passengers with one of the most common splicer models and hope you don't notice, which is odd considering you weren't able to recognize splicers in the original scene.
An escape from the none stop hate, disarray, and deceitful a game can be so much to someone who had imagineation and a heart a game is an escape to somewhere nore kind and forgiving thats why wel love it,or at least thats why i do...its always been good to me.
I'm in love with Bioshock. The map designs are AMAZING! I have this feeling while playing the game, and I can't even explain the feeling! It's just AMAZING!!!!!! I'm hoping that they will make another game with the same map designs. Bioshock will forever be in my life ❤️❤️

According to GameNewsPlus, BioShock 4 Will Introduce More of A Fallout Style Game play. I'm hoping it will be open world Rapture. Fingers crossed.
