when i was a cast member we were taught to give guests the "trivia" that chip the chipmunk and chip the teacup are the only two disney characters that share a name. but at some point i realized that is...demonstrably untrue. just off the top of my head there's pete the cat and pete with the dragon.
I never knew there was a lady chipmunk, I was so confused when she was on one of the parade floats for "Dream and shine brighter" in Disneyland Paris. Someone behind me in the crowd loudly proclaimed "It's Dale in drag!" 😂
have you noticed that when chip is off somewhere else, Dale comes out of his shell? see this in the restaurant meet and greet with Brian Hull, "I scared Chip." basically Brian weaves his voice acting magic and talks to Chip in Chip's own voice, scaring the chipmunk so much that he runs away and hides. Dale comes up to Brian and basically gets about five minutes solid with Brian, a personal audience with the great voice actor while Chip is hiding from him. it's so funny. Chip's reaction to Brian is wonderful too, once he's come out of hiding that is.
These costume evolutions are always so fascinating, and I appreciate that Chip and Dale’s early costumes weren’t pure nightmare fuel like some of the other characters’ early costumes. I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for these characters though. I think they might have been my first character meet and greet when I was a toddler! My parents have a picture of me with them somewhere in Frontierland (I think???) from 1993 and I’m wearing a Barney sweatshirt haha.

If I heard those TV show theme songs during the day, I was a happy camper. 😁🤩
Their base look has been perfect since the 80s. Why fix something that’s not broken! Just give them a new overlay each season and you’re set!❤️ I love these two!
The new movie was pretty cool in my opinion. The story had a lot of interesting twists and turns. I hope it is a sign of great things to come for Chip and Dale. I would love to hear more about what the Disney afternoon stage show was really like? Can you do an actual deep dive of the storyline. The chocolate analysis sequence was Hilariously funny!
3 things. Dale is the one looking cross-eyed in the ice capades. The opening day costumes didn't just differentiate through their noses. They also have the 2 different sets of eyes. (mimicking the ice capades) And the 2 you said were exactly the same, they as well have 2 different sets of eyes. (one looking forward, one looking up and to the side.)
