A nicely made tv stand at a good height is definitely better than mounting the tv on the wall if you have lots of consoles speakers etc. This is great!

Hey it looks great but I'm thinking all that 2by 4 us just way too heave for a tv, simply using 3/4 plywood will be strong enough, can always be braced in corners, his method makes it way too heavy and you'll hate it when you need to move it

If you are going to do this build, craig has not done enough fact checking on his work. First off you dont need 14 2 x 4 as the cheeck list says. You need 12. Secondly as i put the 2 x 2 sides together they end up being wider than the base and thats as far as ive got so far in the build so double check dont just go off his cut list. Ive wasted time and $ by doing so.

TV stand dimensions are 75" wide, 18.5" deep, & 25.5" tall. Sound bar opening is 6" tall x 69" wide & each shelve is 6" tall x 22" wide. Wood is normal pine for affordability and you can always build with higher quality wood, but I wouldn't recommend pressure treated for inside furniture (typically needs 6 months to dry out).

How are the 5 2x4s not as wide as the 2 2x10s..? The math doesn’t add up there

Has anyone asked the cost to build it? I am guessing $80-$90 + tools

Want this but I can't justify cost of materials this is like a 500 dollar build with wood prices these days

lol. Just tried watching it a 2nd time. I know its my bad but it is so painful hearing you say "pocket jig holes" and "pocket jig screws" BTW, not trolling you. You did a phenomenal job with minimal tools. I have a ton of expensive tools and you did a way better job than I would.

You use a pocket hole jig, to make pocket holes. They are not called pocket jig holes.
