Edna's World Thanks for the kind words. Does your husband have a channel?
The Farmhouse Addiction no problem. No he doesn’t have a channel
I enjoyed the video. Im not a builder so I wouldn't change anything but I might leave the saw sounds out next time LOL.
Thanks for watching and I appreciate the advice!
nice job
Thank you! Within the next 2 weeks I will have a remastered version with voice over! Make sure you are subscribed and hit the bell so you don't miss it!
New subscriber here! I love this! 😍
Maybe for future videos you could include about how much the whole project costs? I just moved into my first apartment and I’m building a lot of my own furniture so I’m glad I came across your channel!! 🔨❤️
Thanks for watching! This project was around $350. Not bad being I see them selling for $800 - $1200 at craft shows, etc...
I would like to know what you think about the build. Also let me know what you might have done different. Thanks for watching!
I started doing this build because your video, really love it but can i ask what the pocket hole depth was you used and how did you secure the 2 2x12s to the rest of the stand? Thumbs up all the way.
A remastered version of this video will be out within the next 2 weeks! Be ready to check it out!
Great video video 👍
Thank you! Appreciate you watching and supporting the channel!
Hi just subscribed to your channel from Tokyo. Thanks for sharing your skill. Your work looks so neat and skillfully done.
Erica Sari-sari Thanks for the support! I will check out your channel!
I saw you subbed my channel so I checked out yours. Just so happens I’m making a console table right now so this video was great. I’m just doing shelves so it’s a bit simpler. Nice job on this video. Mine will be out probably next week. I subbed your channel so keep them coming!
Appreciate the support and will definitely check out your video once you upload it
Awesome diy! 👍 New sub
Appreciate the support!
this was oddly satifying to watch lol it turned out great! I love the barn style :) -monthly
Appreciate you watching and supporting the channel!
Good and detailed Job! One comment, maybe the stops of the top rail can point inside other than outside, which may be more safe for toddlers.
Appreciate you watching! Thanks for the tip!
nice video...:)
Thank you! Appreciate you watching and supporting the channel!
Thanks for the support! Right back at ya! #179! Nice media stand! 💪💕 #AdpocalypseChallenge
Appreciate you supporting the channel!
Watching you making the cuts on That unstable table saw was scary
I agree! That was over 3 years ago. I have a better table saw. Probably the one I should have purchased in the first place. Hopefully you enjoyed the rest of the video! Appreciate you taking time out of your day to watch my video!
Super
Thanks so much for watching!
Wow you got an Amazing talent Amego, keep it up more power to your channel, I left you some bonus, stay connected Godbless.
Thanks for watching the video and leaving those kind words! I have new content coming out this upcoming week!
Fantastic video, awesome build! What finish did you use over the white paint? I’m about to start this build and I worry about yellowing
Minwax Polycrylic. It is non yellowing
Great Vid! Very talented and easy walk thru. My wife just told me shes buying one online over $500. I told her to sit tight for a minute. What was ur total material cost? Ballpark
Thank you! Appreciate you watching and supporting the channel! I spent around $350 - $400 but made solid. The ones online for $500 are usually made of cheap materials. The one I made I could easily get $1000 - $1200 for it in my area.
Nice
Thank you!
I just Subscribed! Excellent build! I enjoyed your video editing style! Thanks for subscribing to my channel. I am glad you did otherwise i wouldn’t have been aware of your Super Awesome channel. I got a feeling this channel is going to take off.
Fisherman308 Thank you for the support!
How did you support the shelves that you added in the inside,,,? Awesome video and great stand that was only question I had
I appreciate you watching! Unfortunately I could not find the footage, during editing, for that step of the build. I used wood glue and 3 pocket screws per side to attach the 3 shelves. I made sure the pocket screws on the shelf in the middle section did not conflict the pocket screws with the shelving on the outside sections. Hope this helped.
Looks good FYI don't rely on a level your box may not be level. Better off measuring down from the top
to install the metal track.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the advice!
So beautiful! 😍 by any chance do you remember which stain you used? I love the colour!
Unfortunately I do not. We brought a piece of flooring from that house and found something that was close to matching
New Subbie #211 - You do lovely work. This piece is amazing!
Jacqueline Athmann Thank you for the support!
Hi can tell me what air nailer machine and size do you recommend for this project?
This is the compressor combo I use
amzn.to/2sIJ5tY
So you inspired me to do this myself, thing is i don’t have a any of those tools can you make me a list of what they are, I have no idea what they are called, if it’s not to much to ask 🖤
I have a remastered version of this video coming out either next week or the week after. I will have a detailed list of tools and materials in the description of that video. Stay tuned! Be sure to subscribe and hit the bell so you don't miss it.
Great job. I’m on my way to Home Depot right now. Do you have a video on the doors? Thanks
Thank you! I do not. That video was either lost or I wasn't recording when I thought I was.
The Weekend DIYer thank you for responding. I’m almost done with mine. Keep up the fantastic work you do.
Did you use a certain set of plans for this build or just on the fly?
I watched a video by KC Hughes and just built it by watching him and some other videos
Sweet build! At 1:13 you rip he 2x4s and say you’ll explain later, not sure I understand why you did that? Can you explain? Thanks in advance! :)
The 2x4s are rip so once you add your plywood base, you have a total of 3 1/2" including the plywood. This will allow the 1x4 face frame to be flush to the top of the base plywood at minute 6:48. Thanks for watching!
Watching again to show my support for your channel :-) if this happens to show up in the spam folder could you let me know as I'm trying to figure out why that's happening
The Sweely Life Thank you! It didn't show up as spam!
I think the part where you added the shelves got skipped over. I'm assuming it's plywood. Do you remember what thickness plywood you used for the shelves? Did you add iron on edging to the plywood or did it work fine to leave it plain? You did an awesome job!
I used 3/4" plywood for the shelves. Attached them with pocket hole screws from under shelf. I did not use iron on banding. I installed a face frame on the shelves using 1 x 2's that I ripped down to fit.
Would you pretty please give me the inch measurements you are cutting out of the 3/4" plywood pieces for the side panels, inside panels, shelves, and top with the 2x12's (how much you cut off to make them connect together better)! I really want my husband and I to do this as a weekend DIY project and I am a perfectionist and need EXACT measurements :)
I have a remastered version of this video coming out in the next 2 weeks. Make sure you are subscribed and hit the bell so you don't miss out!
Hey, do you have a full list of material that you can post so I can print it out?
I do not but hope to create plans for this build in the near future
Lastly, would you mind posting your dimensions? I really like your build. I like the wider center and two smaller openings on the sides. I just need the dimensions so that the sliding doors line up properly once it’s put together
I’m trying to compile a complete cut list before I begin the project to save a headache
The openings are based on dividing your total length into 4 equal sections. Depending on the length that fits your space, your 4 section widths will vary
How do you attach your tops?
I used pocket holes in the side panels, front and rear braces, and the interior panels. I then screwed down the top from underneath using those holes.
How would I make it an 8ft long one?
I have a remastered version of this video coming out in 2 weeks. It will have voice over where I explain the build more in depth. Be sure to subscribe and hit the bell so you don't miss it!
Did you use 1/2” for the bottom shelve?
Correct
That is why I ripped 1/2" off the 2x4 at 1:08
Hey this is pretty sweet! This is a great idea for a console. I like these types of projects, I turned a coffee table into a head and footboard. Videos on my channel if you're interested. Found out about ya through Hodge Podge Garage.
Str8sixfan Thanks for the support! And I will check out your videos!
Did you use semi gloss or flat black for the hardware?
Thanks
I used a high gloss spray rustoleum
@@TheWeekendDIYer Thanks!
This was my very first video on UA-cam. I will be doing a Remastered video with voice over and music. I will incorporate the questions i have been asked in that video since i missed some valuable information. The video should be out in the next couple weeks.
Where can I get the materials list? It's just what I want
Unfortunately I don't have a materials list
What are the dimensions? Thank you great vids
Want to be more specific? Lol
Lucky lady...
Downloaded your plans and in the plans or on the video there isn’t anything on how to secure the middle walls at the bottom
Pocket holes
BEAUTIFUL! I wish I had a husband :(
Thank you!
Why?
What was that measurement at 3:53
Sorry, but see you asked this question 2 years ago and I never responded. I doubt you still need it 😆
🔨🛠🔧
Appreciate you watching and supporting the channel!
You actually managed to get everything square like this?
Yes sir but if you build it then please use any technique you wish!
@@TheWeekendDIYer I only ask because I built a kitchen island for a friend, and, even using corner brackets/vices I still have a helluva time keeping everything squared up!
I am just a weekend DIYer and not a professional woodworker. My videos are to inspire other to build stuff for themselves even with little or no experience. I am positive that a true woodworker would have built this differently. I do know that once I secured the top, keeping everything squared before attaching, that it has held up for over 2 years now
how much does it cost to make ?
Under $400
All of the consoles my wife and I looked at were selling for around $1200 in my area for this size
Wow that's not bad . Thanks for responding. Hopefully my bf does something like this.
Thanks for watching!
No plan? Would be easier to add link.
I do not have plans but hope to start generating plans in 2021!
I didn’t see him making the barn door ??
Sorry, but I lost some of the footage during the build. The barn door build was one of them.
I heard very good opinions about the Woodglut plans.
Thanks
You completely stole this design from Woodbrew...
I explain exactly where I found this build in this updated video.
ua-cam.com/video/grdTny5Jd4s/v-deo.html
When I originally built this console it was over 3 years ago and didn't know anything about UA-cam. I filmed it on my phone, didn't know how to do a voice over, etc...
I gave credit where it was due once I did a remastered version.
How I wish I could do such beautiful work 👍🏼🙋🏻👏🏼🙌🏼
Susan Velez Thank you!
