I need help understanding what the conversion factor means. Let’s say the tds was 1500. You’d have to multiply that by 0.7 or whatever the conversion factor is set at?
Just got mine, quick question hiw often do you calibrate, I'm taking tds/salt readings on 77 pools this week just wanted a giod pointer, thanks David!💯👍
Just picked one up. 2 questions 1- what is the “bar graph reading” on the top of the screen? 2- what is the significance of TDS? Does it matter? What the target number?
Not sure about the bar graph off hand. A good TDS depends on your surface type. The lower the better. I would say when it gets 1,500 over your tab water it may be time for a full or partial drain. Just note that if you have a Salt Water Pool the TDS reading doesn't matter much since the salt or salinity will push it up to 4,500 ppm. TDS can be confusing.
I have one from pentair. whenever I try to test the salt level, it never stops on one number. it just goes up and down and when I take it out the water, it goes back to zero. is there something wrong with the device?
Where do you purchase the deionized water? (not distilled)

What do u mean iTDS +/- 2% ? Can you solve it like an example how to get the tds using that formula?
It accurate plus or minus 2% which is fractional.

Not very often. Only if see an issue.
Mine doesn't have the "S" when it turns on, always says "Self cal" and now it's not measuring or calibrating properly. It's way off?

Can the tips be changed to chlorine and PH
Not this unit.
What is the “conductivity” test for, and what does it mean?
For TDS purposes. It is used to help calculate Total Dissolved solids in the water.
Hi, is this one better Hach 9531600 Pocket Pro Salinity Tester?
I still like the HACh better. Seems to stay calibrated better.
i know this is from 6 years ago but i have a problem i can't find an answer to. my tracer is reading "out of range" with no sample

How do I switch the temp to Fahrenheit
In the settings menu

Sounds like it. The Salt reading should be stable.

what model is this? Lamotte 1749?
Yes, 1749-KIT-01 - I like the Case.
Thank You!!
What conversion ratio did you use for this test?
+CaptStubbie Whatever the factory default was set at. Can't remember off hand.
Thank you.
