As a person who went from playing countless story games as a kid to barely being able to finish a single story game per year as an adult this definitely helped me remind myself to go back to my roots.
I’m glad to hear man! I feel the exact same way. I use to love story games like Zelda and stuff, but as I got older they are harder to play. Definitely still worth devoting time to though! What were some of your favorites as a kid?
@@Sweht kingdom Hearts is a big one for me, but up until a few years ago I haven’t even played any of the Final Fantasy games aside from 7 so I’ve been going back and playing them.
My problem with modern story games is that they feel more like movies with tiny gameplay segments rather than games with good stories. You spend most of the game walking from point A to point B, talk to am npc/watch a cutscene, then walk from point B to point C. The last actual game with a story that blew me away was War of the Lions and that was forever ago
@@goodtimesgivecancer1 There are a ton of exceptions to this rule though if you look at more than just AAA mainstream titles. Tons of games have excellent stories. Baldur's Gate 3 is the most recent example of this but I am blown away by game's stories all the time. You just gotta keep an open mind and play a lot of games while avoiding all the AAA shovelware that companies like Blizzard and Ubisoft release.
Barely (if any) modern game with a story that's captivating enough at an old age. They're all trying to be non controversial and soft around the edges and worst, as inclusive as possible

Dude I really appreciate that! I'm so thankful for your support and words. Here's to hoping your computer can run more variety at some point! You deserve it lol.
Idk why but for me I don’t start new games often because knowing I have work the next day or after the weekend makes me feel like I don’t have enough time to sit and play something new. It’s like when you tell yourself you need to start going to the gym but it’s too deep into the week to go so you’re like “I’ll just start next week.” Because of that, I just go back to something I’ve already started or isn’t story focused. Anyone else do that too?
A lot of multiplayer games have consistent, endless gameplay loops with a progression system, making it easy to hop online and do the same thing over and over but have it still be satisfying. That’s very different from a narrative-driven single player experience.
I have been playing the same few games for my entire life, I would sometimes try a few new games, maybe even beating a few triple A games, but I will always end up playing Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Terraria and a few others again after a long break, maybe I was waiting for a new update, maybe I got bored or sick of playing that game, but those few games always bring me joy more than other
I'm not sure that single player games have higher requirements than multiplayer games. One reason that I don't want to play multiplayer games is that they require a huge amount of hours for you to to be competitive. It's not fun to always lose or be on the bottom of the score board so you need to play a lot to be successful. In single player games on the other hand you don't have to be bleeding edge to enjoy the story and the gameplay. You can even cheat or get help if you just want to progress the story.
me too, but it's always, ALWAYS the older ones. I just bought Hogwarts Legacy and Baldur's Gate 3 last week but i keep switching back to The Witcher 3 and State of Decay 2 even though i beat these games like 3 or 4 times...like, i am simply not able to invest my time in new games anymore, i don't know what's happening because i really want to enjoy HL and BG3 but i simply can't
On the topic of repayability one thing no one ever talks about is how different replayability is between MP and SP. Replayability in SP is often seen as a tangible aspect like new game plus or side quest and critics of SP will cite that as to SPs superiority but what a lot of people overlook, including pro MP people, is the human element of MP not found in SP. I remember having a conversation with someone on discord who hates MP because theres no replayability, its just the same experience over and over according to him where as with fallout 4(his prefered game) he said he could run so many different characters and playthroughs. I made the point that replayability is subjective much like how genre is subjective and that a big part of replayability for MP is experience. For example my prefered game is R6 Siege, and the whole reason i love playing it is because even after years of playing and being in the higher skill brackets i am STILL learning new things. New angles to watch something, New ways to approach a situation, new ways to outsmart peopl, and even new ways to counter these new idea im learning if when someone uses them against me. This constant unending potential for new knowledge is a form of replayability. Another somewhat related aspect is people dont keep playing the same way forever. At a certain point all the best players can play at a similar and eventually someone somewhere is going to get creative and find a new solution that eventually all the best players will copy and adapt to and it will eventually trickle down the skill ladder creating what we as gamers call "metas". This constant evolution drivin by competition leaves so much room for untapped potential and is a form of replayability.
You should play story mode first, you wont go back when you have started to play online. And it gives you some safe way of basic training for what to come.
this was my mistake with GTA V. i got it bcs my friend wanted to do online, a couple of other friends joined and now it's hard for me to try and play the campaign because I want to do all of the online shenanigans.
Love the video, I also wanted to mention that a lot of the multiplayer games are not just a game but a constant self improvement mission to complete, always trying to become better so you can win more
I feel like my love for competitive multiplayer shooters comes from that instant gratification of knowing that I'm improving, instead of the slower nature of single player games when you don't really feel like your improving at anything due to how linear most single player story games are (with the exception of games like breath of the wild or GTA). Great video, really helped me understand why when my friends recommend me single player games and I hate them so I just go back to grinding cs
where exactly are you "improving" in gta? you get more money to buy more stuff if that's what you mean but that's not improving as almost in all games you get some form of currency, experience, or whatever to unlock or buy better gear, equipment, items and so on
From the title I thought you were going to list three popular title the gaming community can't stop playing, in a general sense. This was more personal than I realized and truly made me think. A friend recently started a single player game and was telling me all the amazing things. It's been years honestly since i've sat down and devoted time and effort into a single player game. You explained it all so well but at the end you challenged us to try the other side of things. I love me a multiplayer game all day.. but maybe I should look into a story game.. even if it's a short one like you mentioned. So thanks for making this video and making me want to step out of my comfort zone.
I was a hardcore online MP gamer back when I was a teen in the 360/PS3 era, the golden age of online gaming imo. I played nothing but Gears of War, Halo, and CoD, 24/7. Only occasionally played SP games but now as an adult I've done a complete switch, I mostly play SP games. I'll occasionally play online MP but not for too long. To me, SP games just give me a better gaming experience, online can be fun if you're a competitive person or have people to play with but nothing beats a captivating story and exciting gameplay of a SP game.
Great video! Hearing somebody else reaffirm my thoughts in a concise and clear way made me feel great about quitting League of Legends lmfao... in all seriousness, this is a great video, and I've started playing more indie games like Hollow Knight and Celeste. I still sometimes go back to league, but it's never really for more than a handful of games. I've started liking story games a lot more
😂😂 Dude same here. The more competitive games are still fun, especially when you have people to play with- but those more intimate single player games are definitely worth it if you give them time
No need for a video to make you feel great about quitting league. It's a way of spending time in a game, which can sometimes feel like work, and half the time is extremely tilting to the point of making the rest of your day actively worse, with a constant cycle of skins skins skins patches while the client continually and integrity/stability of the game rots away.
I am still playing league, it can be fun even in ranked but the only way to enjoy ranked is to not worry as much about losing, which there is no reason to worry about it in the first place
im in the middle of this like i really enjoy playing some ds3 and baldurs gate 3 but on the other hand i really love playing with my friends in cs2 and im really glad i can find some good balance to both single player games and competitive ones
one really good example of a replayable game is roblox, it has such a wide variety of games, you can constantly find new games for years, i've played roblox since 2016, and im still playing it all the time.
Thank you for reminding me to actually play some story game instead of sweating games like overwatch, csgo, valorant, fortnite, rainbow and rocket leauge.
I played tons of platformer and story based games like RPGs. Then I discovered competitive fighting games and it was a new gaming experience for me. Discovering how far you can push the game against other live players at an arcade. I devoted 10 years to Street Fighter 3: Third Strike and ignored every new game I bought because I kept discovering new strategies. In the fighting game scene, I discovered players who specialize in one game. There are those who only play Street Fighter 2 Turbo to this day in 2023. Having too many games to play is a good problem from the gamers side. I remember back in the NES days, I rented Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers from Blockbuster and beat it in 30 minutes. Then replay it because it was simply enjoyable to play. Like rewatching a good movie.
It is because it is familiar and you know what to expect. The same thing goes for rewatching movies and tv shows and listening to the same song 10 times in a row every day.
This reminded me why I went to Singleplayer Games. Before that I only played minecraft then csgo and clash of clans then lol for countless hours. But I am so glad im playing now Singleplayer because I was really missing out just queing into these multiplayers.
I sometimes have periods of weeks/months were I can play the same online multiplayer game but then after a while I get a bit bored/burnt out and decide to play a story based game as a sort of remedy and actually end up enjoying it more than the multiplayer games
i buy so many story games and never actually play them, or start them but never finish. im gonna go play some of these now because this video motivated me to do so. thanks
i really like all theese smaller creators with high quality like this channels popping up in my recommendations. keep up the good work and also i will never download a single byte of Fortnite or anything with a battlepass and stupid microtransactions
for my experience when you get older it just comes down to time to play and commitment. I have so many single player backlog games I need to beat and I'm sure I would love to play them all. It's just for me when I'm older I just don't have the mega free time to play them. Especially with working full time. It's just nice to get home and hop on a few games of some multiplayer games with my friends and go to sleep and repeat my days. usually on my days off I really want to play a good story game, but I always end up getting distracted or end up just thinking about things I should be doing. Basically, it's just down to growing older, not having a lot of time. As well there are sooooo many new games coming out so it's easy to get distracted by another new shiny game and the pile just adds on. I miss the old days where there was just a small variety of good games. Now it feels like a gamble if a game is going to be good and then you just end up going back to the comfortable games you always want to play. That's what I have come to realize. I just wish I had more time.
I've been through this years ago, decided I had broke far too many controllers now I have 1000 hours in minecraft and couldn't be happier for it. It's really hard to break from the cycle of misery that is modern shooters like fortnite, cod and apex but it is SO worth it you just have to find something you're really passionate about (for me it was God Of War 2018) to outweigh the addiction of "well I've got nothing else to do". You do have other things that you can do you've just gotta find them If you push past the addiction, and yes it is an addiction for many people, it's worth it and you will never want to look back. I'm very lucky to have been able to push out of the endless cycle of yearly cod releases so young, with help from people around me I got out at around 14. Good luck with what you decide to do with your life :)
Look at how the games are designed and what keeps you playing. This includes everything from how unique the sandbox is for you to experiment in to what rewards you can achieve
I recently discovered for myself that the constant sales are the main problem. There are sales everywhere stretching from Steam to the PS / Microsoft Store and you keep buying stuff you MIGHT play because "it´s just 10 bucks, why not" and the list just continues to grow.
it's curious, I have the opposite happen to me, my comfort games tend to be single-player because I get stressed when dealing with people multi-player, plus a massive skill issue on my part ngl
There is a ton of comfort at just enjoying a game at your own pace. It’s hard when you feel like you have to be at a crazy skill level to maybe enjoy a competitive game. Hopefully you could maybe find one you can enjoy at some point!
replayability in games is something that makes a game amazing to me, because not only do i get to experience the game once, i then get to re experience it and find other cool things, whether that be in the story or online.
Story games haven’t felt the same since I was younger, I used to love every single game I played now I really need something special to be able to finish it instead of starting and forgetting about it for half a year, right that game that stands out for me is ffxvi and it’s phenomenal
HA! I don't have this problem, after i feel like I've finished a game its really hard to go play it again, but i obviously don't play online games as i see them as lesser, still fun, but when playing story games you get fun AND the story/experience
This is so real, I have like 37 games in my backlog and even with all the games ive completed ive put 2.5x more of the time in singleplayer games combined into multiplayer 😭😭
I found myself liking games that are really easy to involve in with light story and easy rewarding gameplay, yet it's a single player game, for example A short hike, Lil gator, Unpacking, reventure or any other game like this
Ok but there's also games in the middle. There are plenty of titles, primarily or exclusively in single-player, which do not ask much of you in the beginning and are not some huge emotional investment major plotline to follow etc, while having tons of replayability and rewarding time spent from the player. Think of Tetris, Binding of Isaac, Terraria, Slay the Spire, Candy Crush, Stardew Valley, you get the idea. Some of these titles are absolutely massive in terms of popularity, and can get pretty notorious for having some of the playerbase clocking in insane hours spent similar to online multiplayer titles like League and CSGO. I don't even wanna imagine what those soccer moms who only play candy crush got for their hours played Putting life/time concerns aside, I think having one of such titles in your repretoire makes for a much healthier/well-rounded game rotation
Those are some valid points. Not every game is an emotional attachments. I remember one of my family members was mad addicted to angry birds and candy crush to the point they dreamed about it lol. Kills me to think about
The only game in a while that has broken my cycle of switching to and from RL and Apex is No Man’s Sky. The story is pretty great, and the idea that you can constantly upgrade, build bigger bases using the thousands of different materials and technologies at hand, make your squadron larger, etc. really helps to bring back that constant sense of progression that you would get in the type of multiplayer games mentioned. I feel bad for the ppl who stopped playing after the release flop because now it is a really solid game.
Great vid man, I also like how at the end you asked both sides to go try and do the opposite as opposed to just one. I’d have to agree with a lot of points that you hit throughout this video, I had this realization sometime either last year or two years ago when I picked up smash bros and started (still have yet to finish LOL) the story mode on hard. It was through that I remembered the calming and “true” peace of video games and not the mindless fun time highs I was spending back to back with friends ): I definitely think it’s possible to enjoy both, but it’s just about moderation. As for me, I’ve chosen to jus keep multiplayer games as my “social night” with friends who are too far to connect in person and not something to grind on (I never really was a type to solo multiplayer rank type games). Mario bros wonder i think is out now, and I’ve been wanting to pick up Kirby’a forgotten land for a while now, hopefully sometime soon I’ll be able to experience and enjoy games like “the good old days” :) thanks again for making this video! Def something the world needed
This is so true. Personally, 2019 COD: MW is one of my all-time favorites and yet it pretty much burnt me out on shooters for what feels like the rest of my life. I think some of the most fun I ever had while playing a game was in gunfight with one of my best friends, and I'm glad my time taking PVP seriously was able to end on a good note. I've since switched to primarily playing singleplayer with the occasional coop with friends and I could not be happier in that regard.
I think that comfort point makes the most sense. Why do something different when what I know I already enjoy is right there? My main 2 games I’ll return to are Warframe and Rocket League. Every once in a while I can find something else to sink my teeth into for a couple hundred hours, or more, but I’ll always return to those 2 for more.
I wish more game developers would implement the kind of NG+ Devil May Cry has in their games, it's pretty much the only kind of NG+ that matters. What's the point of carrying over all your gear to the next playthrough if nothing can challenge you? Up the difficulty, change every encounter, and make the stronger enemies appear early, maybe even introduce a new mechanic in the hardest difficulty too (devil trigger for enemies in DMC's case).
i came to the comments to see the thoughts of the million other viewers just to see 800 views, such incredible video quality and i’m sure you’ll blow up soon
I always wondered why I couldn't get into open world games or games with huge swathes of content, and I realized that the gameplay loop of these games are generally just not enticing to me. My favorite games are respawn shooters (i.e, CoD, Halo, Titanfall, etc.), and it really is how you describe it. I like the challenge of online shooters and how different every game plays and I can more or less choose how long my play session is. With open world or story driven games, it feels like the more time I spend *away* from them, the harder it is to get back in. Although, I have been exploring a bit with indie roguelikes and reverse bullet heavens and turns out I really like meta progression too. Maybe I'm just not a story guy shrug. Regardless, nice concise video, very good work.
Thanks man! I like how you phrased “respawn games.” I really do understand what you mean with the longer you spend away, the harder it is to get back in. So true. Every once in a while you can get mad hooked, but it takes a lot to get there!
I mean simply, it’s conditioning. The more you play something, the more it feels natural. That’s why it’s very hard to make a new, competitive game, that people will try.
I think the biggest reason why I can't play most single player games anymore is that thanks to UA-cam and Let's Plays, I don't need to play a game to experience its story, and once I know its story, I don't feel like playing it for myself because I already experienced the story. That's why I'm staying blind on Baldur's Gate 3 until it releases on Xbox, because that's my only console as of right now.
That’s pretty wise not to spoil it for yourself. I’ve done that too for Zelda TOTK. It’s more rewarding to do it yourself, but once you already know how to beat the game and all the story points, there’s no reason to play
With emulation now being so good, its very nice to go and check out some games you played before u ever touched those easily replayable games. but now im just stuck playing modnation racers and skate 3...
For me it was because I grew up playing Modern Warfare 2 2009 on my PS3. So I’m used to it. And anytime I played any other game it was usually online or at my cousins house via split screen. Now that split screen is practically dead and we both have different responsibilities now. I just went back to what I enjoyed, what I know how to do well and what I did solo. Which is COD Multiplayer.
I feel that man. I used to do Halo split screen with my cousin and that’s how I joined the fps genre. Have super good memories there and it’s been fun to occasionally go back and try those games too
I started playing ratchet and clank on pc a few weeks back and it really took me back to being a kid and playing on my ps2! I recommend trying it out if you haven't!
For me, Monster Hunter fills the perfect niche for this. It's absolutely endless replayability, because you're always challenging yourself to find new ways to beat the monster, to beat it faster, exploring new play styles, trying new builds, and there's so many endless combinations of skills and playstyles that it's pretty much infinite. Not to mention the combat itself is absolutely exhilarating. But it's also multiplayer, so you can go burn time goofing off with people and the level of challenge varies greatly due to all the different types of monsters in the game. Truly my favorite franchise of all time.
@@Sweht Now is a great time to try out Monster Hunter: World in particular! With the announcement of Wilds, Capcom has been pushing World quite hard, and the player numbers have skyrocketed back into the six digits. I highly highly recommend it. You might take a little time to really sink your teeth into it and get into a good groove, but once you do, you can hardly put it down.
This year I took a break from fps games and played a lot of other games I know I would also have fun in but never finished cause I wanted to spend my time getting better at fps games. Now my aim is a lot worse but I’m having a lot more fun so I definitely feel it was worth it
This explains what I've been feeling for a while, very well written. It seems we're at a point in gaming where people are tired of this theme as a whole and hopefully these developers can see it as well.
Honestly I don’t even play enough of a multiplayer game to even have a firm grasp on all of the mechanics. I just get bored too quickly. For replayability I love improving on hard games and either whupping the game’s ass or playing on super hard difficulties. I’ve replayed the pre-SOTN Castlevania games multiple times because it is fun to overcome challenges. Not to mention shmups where you can improve your high score or get less lives lost.
Dude that’s super cool. I wish I understood where I could even get started on games like Castlevania. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to play some of those games too, like I don’t know where to get started.
@@Sweht First up are you interested in platformers/sidescrollers? Because that is really important in if you should even play the games in the first place. What are you looking for? Are you looking for a straight forward platformer completely being linear, an open ended level based game, or an exploration platformer/Metroidvania? Because I need to know that before recommending a game. Also unlike a lot of NES games, Castlevania does not suffer from first game syndrome as it is amazing right off the bat, so starting from the beginning is not a bad option. Also difficulty is a key factor in recommending a game, so if you don't mind hard games, you'll have an easy time getting into the series.
I mean I really enjoyed Celeste and I’ve enjoyed Mario games in the past, so I do like side scrollers, but I think my hardest part is devoting the time to them 😂 but yes, I do enjoy them
Outer Wilds is a singleplayer game everyone should play. Its a unique experience and for the love of god, dont look up any guides or anything that could contain spoilers.
I just like games where I can practice for many hours and then see the results of the hard work paying off (by comparing myself to other real players). Like grinding in a single-player game but has real-life consequence (e.g. developing muscle memory, improving reaction time, motor skills, etc). CSGO is perfect for this, you can develop skills to be really quick at recognising threats, doing something about the threat, quick thinking, pattern-recognition, problem solving, teamwork, communication, mind-games, etc.
I used to play Fallout 4 and Black Ops 3 multiplayer repeatedly in 2019, and it was the only things i played. When i got into trophy hunting in 2020, I've devoted myself to playing more single player games, and it is more rewarding imo. Feels less like im trapped with a massive backlog, and more like im making progress. My friends do all play the same couple of games though, and now that I'm out of that, it looks so monotonous.
Agreed. Mine were 2K and COD 2017 and I ventured out got my first platinum trophy in Ghost of Tsushima and haven’t looked back. My friends still play both daily.
I feel that man. Trophy hunting is so enticing if you’re a completionist. If you enjoy ticking off tasks and stuff, it is right up you’re ally, where playing something where there’s no actual goal in sight besides self-improvement, it can be monotonous
A lot of single player games I will play through once and probably never play through them again or for a very long time. God of War, Spiderman, Arkham games, Horizion, etc. There's a few exceptions like Bethesda RPGs, Rockstar games, and FromSoft games, and Dragon's Dogma, these can be played a ton over and over.

I'm not sure that single player games have higher requirements than multiplayer games. One reason that I don't want to play multiplayer games is that they require a huge amount of hours for you to to be competitive.
Dude, you should make a video on replayability too! 😂
You should play story mode first, you wont go back when you have started to play online. And it gives you some safe way of basic training for what to come.
That is so very true lol. I never touched the campaigns of MW or MW2 and I played those games to death.
@@Swehtthat’s wild! Those campaigns are amazing
you should really play those campaigns, they arent that long and they are really well made@@Sweht
this was my mistake with GTA V. i got it bcs my friend wanted to do online, a couple of other friends joined and now it's hard for me to try and play the campaign because I want to do all of the online shenanigans.
This video was great! It's nice to see high quality content from lesser known channels being recommended by UA-cam.
Glad you enjoyed it! Also glad you were recommended it! haha
Straight to the point. informative. short but enjoyable. with great examples.
Amazing video
Love the video, I also wanted to mention that a lot of the multiplayer games are not just a game but a constant self improvement mission to complete, always trying to become better so you can win more
Very very true. Always furthering your skills!
Dave the Diver is a new indie single player RPG that really hit the spot for an FPS addict. Not too long and easy to come back to, definitely recc
Dude I’ll definitely have to check that one out
Dave the Diver is the newest pile of garbage that has been pumped up by streamers as being the holy grail.

😂 thanks man! I feel the exact same way dude
where exactly are you "improving" in gta? you get more money to buy more stuff if that's what you mean but that's not improving as almost in all games you get some form of currency, experience, or whatever to unlock or buy better gear, equipment, items and so on
@@rogoznicafc9672 i was talking about the game not being linear, not anything ab improving
Thank you so much man. You’ll have to tell me what game you play and if you enjoyed it (if you remember to lol). Glad to hear it, really, thank you!
I agree man. I feel like my time is better spent on SP games, but I still can’t break away from MP sometimes
Any SP recommendations or personal ranking?
Nice video, i agree with your points. I find it harder and harder to find the energy or time to complete single player games as i get older
Great video. Going into more depth than the other 100s in this genre. Felt like I learned something new. Earned my sub
Thanks man! Really appreciate it! Glad you left with something learned 😂
im in the middle of this like i really enjoy playing some ds3 and baldurs gate 3 but on the other hand i really love playing with my friends in cs2 and im really glad i can find some good balance to both single player games and competitive ones
Underrated video, keep making such good videos like this man.
Thank you man! I’ll be working on it!
one really good example of a replayable game is roblox, it has such a wide variety of games, you can constantly find new games for years, i've played roblox since 2016, and im still playing it all the time.
Thank you for reminding me to actually play some story game instead of sweating games like overwatch, csgo, valorant, fortnite, rainbow and rocket leauge.
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
actually underrated, keep up and soon you will hit the 200k mark, i swear
Dude, I’ll put in the hours! I’ll be grinding
You will be really huge if you manage to pump videos like this consistently. Subbed
I’ll be trying my best! Appreciate it man!
Very nice video. I like that YT algorithm has been pushing good videos to my feed recently.

I sometimes have periods of weeks/months were I can play the same online multiplayer game but then after a while I get a bit bored/burnt out and decide to play a story based game as a sort of remedy and actually end up enjoying it more than the multiplayer games
Kinda nice when that happens lol
Yeah Rainbow Six seige became my #2 most played game in just 1-2 months with 140 hours played despite me having the playstation acc since 2018.

This is not a problem I have anymore. I played WoW for like 13 years, but since moving on I'm playing different games every month or less.
Has it been fun? I would love to know 😂
Love this topic. This is why I like Kid Icarus uprising and sonic games. It wasn't open world it was short mission segments
Dude Kid Icarus was such a good game. Not sure if it was underaged or not, but it slapped. Big fan
for my experience when you get older it just comes down to time to play and commitment.
Yup dude. It’ll be a struggle forever 😂
You do have other things that you can do you've just gotta find them
If you push past the addiction, and yes it is an addiction for many people, it's worth it and you will never want to look back.
Is this a vid recommendation? I’ll do some research and get back to you on it! I might be under qualified but I’ll learn.
I recently discovered for myself that the constant sales are the main problem. There are sales everywhere stretching from Steam to the PS / Microsoft Store and you keep buying stuff you MIGHT play because "it´s just 10 bucks, why not" and the list just continues to grow.
Yeah man. Over saturated industry. Hard to find the gold sometimes
great video dude! nice to see quality content from smaller channels 🥳
Thanks man! I’ll keep pumping more out soon!
it's curious, I have the opposite happen to me, my comfort games tend to be single-player because I get stressed when dealing with people multi-player, plus a massive skill issue on my part ngl
This is like therapy for my game addiction
😂😂 by law I must say… I am not a therapist… but I’ll listen and give advice anytime 😂
HA! I don't have this problem, after i feel like I've finished a game its really hard to go play it again, but i obviously don't play online games as i see them as lesser, still fun, but when playing story games you get fun AND the story/experience
That’s fair, but I still try all kinds to truly branch out!
Tfw you return to any pvp game after 2 years bc of nostalgia and in next 3 minutes you remember why you dropped it.
Dude, pain 😂 it’s gotta be one of the biggest slaps in the face to get you back to reality
This is so real, I have like 37 games in my backlog and even with all the games ive completed ive put 2.5x more of the time in singleplayer games combined into multiplayer 😭😭
Dude same 😂 the steam library keeps getting bigger lol
I don't even wanna imagine what those soccer moms who only play candy crush got for their hours played
Putting life/time concerns aside, I think having one of such titles in your repretoire makes for a much healthier/well-rounded game rotation
Yeah I’ve heard it’s gotten a ton better as of late. I should check it out more
Great vid man, I also like how at the end you asked both sides to go try and do the opposite as opposed to just one.
Of course man! I hope you can continue to enjoy games “like the old days!”
insane that you only got 3k subscribers, great video
This is so true. Personally, 2019 COD: MW is one of my all-time favorites and yet it pretty much burnt me out on shooters for what feels like the rest of my life. I think some of the most fun I ever had while playing a game was in gunfight with one of my best friends, and I'm glad my time taking PVP seriously was able to end on a good note. I've since switched to primarily playing singleplayer with the occasional coop with friends and I could not be happier in that regard.
Dude I feel that. Mw 2019 was a blast. It helped the covid times feel not so bad.
CoD MW 2019 is a horrible game. It can be fun but there are vastly superior FPS games out there.
Good vid, keep up the quality. The script might need some refinement though considering how some phrasings were slightly jarring
Thanks for checking it out and for the advice!
Yeah man. Comfort can be a blessing and a curse 😂 You have two really good games to be comfortable with tho lol.
This is exactly what i felt like for a while now ! Glad im not alone..
honestly thank you, you changed my prespective

Yeah, hello… 911. Yeah, this guy right here
I wish more game developers would implement the kind of NG+ Devil May Cry has in their games, it's pretty much the only kind of NG+ that matters. What's the point of carrying over all your gear to the next playthrough if nothing can challenge you? Up the difficulty, change every encounter, and make the stronger enemies appear early, maybe even introduce a new mechanic in the hardest difficulty too (devil trigger for enemies in DMC's case).
Fallout: New Vegas is my all time favourite game, I think you should give it a try if you like RPGs where your choices really matter
Dude, my brother recommends that game all the time. It’s probably time I give it a shot!

Thank you man! Let’s hope for growth!
That’s fair, and that’s probably why so many feel like knockoffs. They try to make their game too familiar and it backfires
and sunk cost fallacy too. If you played something for a long time and spend money on it, you're less likely to abandon it
I think the biggest reason why I can't play most single player games anymore is that thanks to UA-cam and Let's Plays, I don't need to play a game to experience its story, and once I know its story, I don't feel like playing it for myself because I already experienced the story.
@@Sweht Yeah, I'm also replaying Gears 1, but on Insane difficulty since I heat Gears 1 like 5 times throughout my childhood.
With emulation now being so good, its very nice to go and check out some games you played before u ever touched those easily replayable games. but now im just stuck playing modnation racers and skate 3...
😂 dude, skate 3 was a vibe. Used to love that game
That’s good to know!! I’ll look into it man, thanks!
You don’t replay god of war because it is just essentially sitting through a 15 hour amc drama with some quick time events
Yeah, very true. As cool as that can be, after the first play through it’s really hard to go back at slough through it.

That’s cool! I have a couple friends who love monster as well! I need to play it already lol
@@Sweht Now is a great time to try out Monster Hunter: World in particular! With the announcement of Wilds, Capcom has been pushing World quite hard, and the player numbers have skyrocketed back into the six digits. I highly highly recommend it. 😂 sounds good man! Maybe there will be a steam sale soon! I’ll keep my eyes peeled and put it on my wishlist! Thanks for the recommendation!
This year I took a break from fps games and played a lot of other games I know I would also have fun in but never finished cause I wanted to spend my time getting better at fps games. Now my aim is a lot worse but I’m having a lot more fun so I definitely feel it was worth it
That’s good dude! You basically took a sabbatical from tactical shooters lol
It's gotten easier to be content in sticking to a single FPS game considering the state of the FPS market.
This explains what I've been feeling for a while, very well written. It seems we're at a point in gaming where people are tired of this theme as a whole and hopefully these developers can see it as well.
I agree! I think the community is kind of waiting for the next huge thing, but nobody’s seen it yet lol
You hit the nail on the head.

YT recommended coming in clutch with this one 🙏🏼
God bless. Glad you watched it!!
I mean I really enjoyed Celeste and I’ve enjoyed Mario games in the past, so I do like side scrollers, but I think my hardest part is devoting the time to them 😂 but yes, I do enjoy them
short answer to me is "Same Games, Different outcomes"
games i play almost everyday is War thunder, CSGO, and L4D2 and you are right about 3 game
Love the video, thank god Ive found you
God bless. I’ll be putting out more soon!
Outer Wilds is a singleplayer game everyone should play.
Its a unique experience and for the love of god, dont look up any guides or anything that could contain spoilers.
You’re not the only one to say this. I’m gonna play it now
I just like games where I can practice for many hours and then see the results of the hard work paying off (by comparing myself to other real players).
True man. Easy to understand, extremely hard to master.
@@Sweht very monotonous
A lot of single player games I will play through once and probably never play through them again or for a very long time. God of War, Spiderman, Arkham games, Horizion, etc. There's a few exceptions like Bethesda RPGs, Rockstar games, and FromSoft games, and Dragon's Dogma, these can be played a ton over and over.
