- Doing some largemouth bass fishing in the lower mainland; around Vancouver, BC. I used a small soft plastic swimbait on the ultralight setup, and then had some fun with the whopper plopper!

About Bottles Longwood:
I love fishing for big bass, sturgeon, trout, and salmon, down to small panfish, like crappie and bluegill or pumpkinseed sunfish. Monster fish are great, but the little ones are still fun too. I fish mostly in the lower mainland; around the Vancouver area in BC. When I first started to get back into fishing I spent a lot of time at Deer Lake in Burnaby. I believe that's where I first started bass fishing. I've recently gotten back in to hunting as well.
I don't claim to be a good fisherman, but I love to do it.
Gotta love the feeling of getting a big fish on a tiny bait! My dad always used to tell me that you can catch a big fish on a little hook, but you can't catch a little fish on a big hook, that's always stuck with me
It's true!! Lots of fun on ultralight!
Gone but not forgotten
Wow what a big catch from just a tiny bait. Really, also missed fishing my friend. Have a nice day.
Thank you very much!
I'm pickling prawns and watching your video
Never had pickled prawns!! Sounds interesting!
@@FishingWithBottles it's the Bomb💥
hahaha 🤣 dramatic release of fish, the fish immediately jumped haha, great bro, got a big fish😀👍👍
Awesome video. Btw, you can also use the arbogast jitterbug lure. Its a pretty old topwater lure that was developed in the 1930s but still works great. Its a night time lure but it can also be used during the daytime as well.
That first fish was a monster. Great fishing with ultralight gear. That thing had a belly and a half. Nice day out there. Great catches.
Wow..wonderfull bass fishing..
I never see bass in Indonesian..
Keep fishing my bro
The follow up ultralight got that fish really good too congrats 👍🏻
😉 I know exactly where this is. I've lived in the area my whole life. Used to be, you could spend the whole day fishing up and down there and never see another soul. It was awesome. It's still not the zoo some places are, but it's getting close some weekends.
I usually avoid that by going on weekdays.
I keep a backpack of light fishing gear with a collapsible rod in my truck for when I drive by places just like this and the rivers adjacent to it. I pull over and cast a line whenever I see them rising. I've caught them with fake worms, single egg and even a Wooster lure. Can't remember the name, but it's the one with the black tail, black body with silver specs and silver spoon.
I just keep a small plastic fly box with mainly Meps and Wooster lures inside my pack, with a couple of little spools of light fluorocarbon leaders, small bobbers, my collapsible rod and a little garden trowel in case I want to dig up some worms. I keep a gold pan under the back seat too in case the fishing gets slow.
I'll add some swimbait to try next time.
Mosquitos are brutal there when the weather gets hot. If you have the right repellant, it's a good time to fish there. Fish like the Mosquitos and the hatching larvae, but the people don't and stay away.
Beautiful place for fishing, strike big fish👌👍🙏🇲🇨🇲🇨
Beautiful song that drag running, heck yeah fat beautiful fish, nice dancing bee, if the fish got to the water is a good release :)
So awesome job on editing Brother 👍
Thank you very much!!
that a nice place for fishing my friend, lot of big fish there, like this
Great video as always 💪👍🏿
wow special friend, when you use the rail, the arch of your rod is fun .. and finally it is closed with a catch of fish that can't wait to return to the river .. o yeah it's snake eggs, huh ...?
Thanks!! It was awesome on the ultralight!
The best spot fishing bro 👍
As I tell new fishermen, you dont always need a big bait to catch biggins
Keep the videos rolling out buddy
Truth!! Thanks for watching!
Wtf... you said my gut was sexy
Cool video, and fun edits! :)
Very nice fishing
Nice.. Good job brother.
Big Fish. 👍👍👍
Thanks bro!
Great edits buddy! Some nice ones...with some serious "GUT" 😄 sometimes it's a good thing when the snakes are dead while walking up to the shore.. I've been surprised too many times by live ones 😬
I appreciate it!! Fish felt huge on the ultralight! Those snakes love to sit still until you almost step on em haha!
@@FishingWithBottles definitely must have been a blast on the ultralight buddy!
Can u plz tell me what spot that is? I have been looking for a spot like that
ive been trying to catch bass and salmon in lower mainland but no luck, bring me on an adventure and ill supply the bottles lol
Fun day some nice bass
Thanks bro!

Nice to see you back on it Bro
Nice fishing brother... large mouth bass...
I appreciate it!
halo my friends,,i see fuul time..good luck ..big fish
Thank you very much!!
You wouldn't think such a big fish would even be interested in such a small lure, but I've caught 5 pounders on swimbaits that small, haha. Whopper Plopper bites are so explosive! Too bad about that snake, I hate when people kill snakes just because they are snakes, they've reached a compromise with people, "stay out of their way, and they'll stay out of our way", haha. As many birds as we see, we don't see many of them dead, so where do they go to die?
Hi! Big fish, too excellent!
Thank you very much!
Awesome 👍
Thank you very much!
Where is it? Lake name?
I bet that snake got into the nest and mamma caught it red handed. Looks like she did quite a number on it too.😂 Patience and effort bagged a good one. Nice fatty on the ultra-light! Bees need love too bro!😂 Little guy on the plopper. Little better one this time. Yeah, it seems more and more fish these days are showing up looking diseased. It's pretty sad. Well, now that one has a bump on the head too.🤣
mantap banget spot mancing nya boss...👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🎣🎣🎣
Best video my friend ❤️
I appreciate it!
What lake are you at?
I came for the same answer.
Nice catch bro.

@@FishingWithBottles 👍👍
Man that was a chunk and on ultra light out of all things! That bee made love to you lol
Thanks bro! That bee made me uncomfortable... I don't think I'm ready for that next step...
where in the lower mainland is this i've tried deer lake plenty of times and no luck
Nice catch bro..👍
Nice video! Can you tell me where is the for the large mouth bass at? Thanks alot!
Nice brother👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
Awesome video my friend 👍
Thanks, John!
Always enjoy videos, thanks brother. I am new to bass fishing, and when do you think is the best season for bass fishing?
Spring, summer, fall are all good. I usually catch bigger bass in the spring. Right now, first light and last light are best because it's so hot. Target the spots that provide shade. The bass are trying to stay cool too.
Where is this?!?
Sorry, I don't disclose some of these spots.
Fishing With Bottles that’s sus
Only places you'll get told about are either too crowded half the time unless you have a boat like deer or are unfishable due to weeds like trinity which every big bass caught out of there is normally kept because people are dicks so you get left with dinks and unfortunately that's the only real place people will tell you about I've run into the same problems looking up on 20 year old forums about spots like latimer that are trashed now a d stuck having to fish them because everyone in bc that fishes for bass seems to feel like every spot that's not really that good is the ones they share any area river or lake that's actually good isn't shared I've fished both deer and trinity for 2 years now with nothing but sunfish and sunfish sized bass so much so that I gave up on bass fishing cause I figured without any other options open to me other than deer or trinity that are both a fair distance away that it wasnt worth it any more, people will say go find em yourself do the leg work and then give up cause theres zero information out there on where bass are around vancouve other than the 20 year old forums on ponds that have gone completely to shit
@@chrisread6292 honestly what is the whole ordeal of not sharing locations. like its a sacred obligation of an illuminati. those who work in the fishing and tackle shops in bc also gives you shit lead on where to go. they protect it like its their fucking sworn duty. to those fishing pros, dont bloody post vids of your prized fishing and give tips to teach how to fish like a pro when you dont even give a location to let others learn your ways. they are afraid overcrowding will catch all the fucking fish to no existence. there is a limit ob your license for gamefish, you need not worry about drying up the fucking lakes. think back to the beginning days of how you got introduced to fishing and it became a hobby. there are many out there looking for these experiences so they can pass on the legacy to their next generation.
@@duckduckdukki8059 with bass spots most of the time it's because they're not wanted here or the people that do catch them take them out of the ponds or rivers same with trinity even just last week I saw a couple I see there all the time with yet another bucket of 1-3lb bass so you go there to catch and just get fresh spawn and any other spot like latimer noel booth the majority of what's left is only just starting to make a comeback after almost drying up last summer especially latimer I fiahed there yesterday and the bass and spawn are mostly trapped in side puddles so they're probably gonna die too, your best bet for bass outside of those 3 and deer lake is the pitt addington marsh area it's a hike to get around and can be unproductive at times but it's not too overfished for bass unlike the other spots where if you dont have live bait you might not even get a hit all day
Good fishing bro
Thank you very much!
Nice my friend 👍 Hasil yang Memuaskan
Trims bro!
I have always thought best way to catch big ones is small line and bait
Nice fat bellied bass on the UL with micro swimbait buddy! I love catching big fishing on little setups. Couple nice bass on the Plopper. You better take one of those pregnancy tests in another month or so; make sure you didn't get impregnated from the horny bee 🤣😂
That fish felt like a 7lbs on that ultralight! That bee was going hard!! Haha! Appreciate you watching! 👍

Yes, but they're usually very lethargic in the cold.
Sweet video bro! Where in Vancouver is that ?
I appreciate it!! Sorry, I don't post these locations!
Dude ,where is the spot?

Is this same spot where you catch the 6lbs bass and hooked your shin
Different spot!
Yoo bottles im lookin to get into bass fishin i have a couple setups rn for like twitchin jigs which i feel could get me started would u have any reccomendationsnfor a begginner what kinda baits to use imma prolly be out at deer lake burnaby ik its weedy there
Most people start with a Medium Fast and a Medium Heavy Fast. M is good for soft plastic worms (one of the best baits for bass; I like texas rig with no weight), 1/4oz to 3/8oz swimbaits, etc. MH is good for spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, frogs, etc. I have amazon links for some baits I use in the description.
@@FishingWithBottles sounds good bro thanks

Wasn't this spring time?
Think it was June. Late spring.
I've never caught anything here in the couple times I've tried. Looks like I'll have to give it another go
Can you please tell me where this spot is? I’m sooo desperate for some largie action. And last season I couldn’t find them anywhere.

True!
Thats a nice fish. My yearly trip out to the island i got a 6 pounder small mouth. Possibly my PB in the near decade ive been going there
@@mikeymaiku 6 is a tank!! I think my PB smallie is about 10oz!! Haha!
@@FishingWithBottles they get big man. I beleive smalls are much better fighters. Ive never had a large mouth ever "dive" or try any burst of energy to get away. They tend to thrash more for me but i havnt caught one bigger than 2 pounds haha
Should not post vids about this place lol. This spot will get pressured super fast.
Not worried about it at all. People who recognize it already fish it...
Fishing With Bottles Hopefully that’s the case. Good work on the video though!
