I have the series 7, but after one shave it feels like the next day I have stubble again. How close of a shave is this one? And you think it’s worth the upgrade from the 7?
@@Nattymatty7 Well if you want an even closer shave then you gotta use a razor unfortunately. But electric is much better for shaving everday since you dont hurt the skin
I own the series 9 pro+ shaver. Though a very good electric shaver, it is not the best shaver yet as claimed by Braun. It doesn’t shave as close as I would like to. It leaves islands of hair on my neck are that I have to ultimate shave off with a blade. I don’t perceive a closer shave than Braun electric shavers from a decade ago.
I kinda get what you mean and yes I would agree. The newer Series might me a tiny bit better or more comfortable in generall but at the core their performance hasn´t improved that much. I myself prefer shaving myself with a blade and well.. no electric shaver gets close to that. Not even something like a OneBlade. In my opinion at least. Do you have a favorite?
@@wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein195 Using a wet shaver isn't even that good in my experience. I tried with a shavette and with a safety razor and with a leaf razor and it's pretty whack. Plus the amount of effort is not worth it. The Braun is much better and more comfortable. Not happy about the price though. Wet shavers were great when I was like 16 but nowadays no matter what I do it's never smooth, so I might as well just enjoy the speed and comfort an electric one provides
@@RP-dy5mu I get what you mean. In general i´d also say that electric shavers are more comfortable to work with! I guess its also a matter of preference and hair type though. Wet shaving can have lots of benefits if it suits your "needs". The same goes for electric shavers as well of course.
Hi. Hoping for abit of help, advice / recommendation. The only foil shaver I have ever used is Braun 3040S, not great. Takes long time to shave and its never really 100% smooth compared to normal bladed razer. I always use a razer blade, wilkinson sword hydro 5 to be exact but I am always interested in buying a good electric shaver to see if its any good. After all buying my replacement blades all the time for my wilkinson sword soon adds up. Which one would you recommend to me ?
I have a very old Braun series 7 from 2009 that is still going strong (outstanding build quality and battery). Does this series 9 pro give a superior shave?
I had my Series 7 pulsonic since 2007, replaced the cassette when needed.. Just purchased the series 9 pro and personally feel it is better than I expected, much smoother, less vibration transfer to hand.. Do like that the cleaning station uses same cartridges, plus the dry function after it cleans.. Do recommend..
I just bought one a few days ago and I have to say this is probably my favorite shaver. Ever. Maybe it’s just my facial hair-type…but..my skin is just as smooth as using a regular razor after shaving. I also dont get any little cuts and haven’t bled once. Very comfortable shaving with it…I have to shave minimum 5 days a week for work..don’t think I’ll ever use a straight razor again
Choosing a razor can be confusing with so many options out there. However, it's important to note that there isn't one universal 'best' razor that works for everyone. The effectiveness of a razor depends on your personal preferences, skin type, hair thickness, and even your budget. What works for one person might not work as well for another. I'd recommend checking out reviews from different sources and considering what features are most important to you. Ultimately, the best razor is the one that suits your individual needs the most. Happy shaving!

ElectricRazorRap nothing to add to your comment. You´re absolutely right! @engihabit: Generally speaking - we made the experience that the 9pro had the smoothest results. A OneBlade might be even a bit smoother. But since you´re looking for a device without much wear and tear the 9pro would be a good choice. In regards to Philips devices the series 9000 seemed about as good as the series 7 (in terms of the shaving performance) Although Philips is more comfortable on the skin. The Series 7000 was about as good as a Series 3-5 (in Terms of the shaving performance) At least from our point of view. But like ElectricRazorRap said, its difficult to generalize this. I still hope that my comment is somewhat helpful to you!
i guess i can give my honest oppinion about this product after a year of use every day to shave my head and face. the product magnificent and realiabld
just bought 2weeks ago the 9 pro plus And i can’t believe the 7 series shaves closer and better 😮😮😮 only downside side it has towards the 9pro+ is that the 9pro+ is more gentle but it doesn’t do the work 100% only 90%😢
Hm thats weird. Our impression was like that but flipped over. They are both good but the 9000 was a bit better. 10% sounds about right as well. to me at least. The 7000 is definetly a good choice tho. Imo its hardly worth the additional cost to go for a 9pro+.
When i place the box with the cleaning liquid in the cleaning station do i have to open the box or the cleaning station does it by its self? The instructions i got inside are very superficial and not so clear.
Just pop off the plastic cover from the cleaning liquid, press the button on the back of the station so the cleaning liquid tray will pop outi (the back), slide in the liquid, close, insert the razor making sure the electric contacts on the back of razor touches the contacts on the back of the shaver, review the LED's for final instructions if any.
It is intendend for a clean shave but it still leaves a little bit i´d say. Its not as smooth as a wet shave but pretty close(depending on your hairtype)
I´d say no, not really. Braun (or to be more specific foilshavers) are even easier to use. Skin irritation is another topic though. You have to test it out for yourself. Generally speaking they tend to be a bit more irritating on the skin but provide smoother results as well.
I have to say I. A little disappointed with mine. Im 70 and havent bought an expensive shaver in many years. I agonised over weeks whether to spend the money, but eventually decided that at 70 I could justify it. It was going to be a real beauty! But do you know there was nothing that really set it apart from cheaper Brauns I've been given. I expected a really close shave. But my old Philips with an almost dead battery shaves as close. (But cleaning it IS a hassle!). I gave up on trying to understand the silly little so-called "manual" with its ever-so-confusing diagrams. Ditto for the cleaning device which also comes with no English text instructions. Im going to try to work thst out tonight. Do I have to open it, or peel off the foil? Don't know. Again, nothing in English. Oh, the only thing I was able to learn from this video is that the shaver does charge while its cleaning. I wonder how long it takes. Does it turn off when done? Ive had quite a whinge, but I do expect adequate instructions with a $500 shaver. But I'll finish off with a positive. I have a nice new shaver, and I do enjoy using it.
Hi! I unterstand your dissatisfaction. Sadly a Series 7 or 7000 or even the 9000 or 9 Pro Models dont get a much closer shave than the Series 5 or 5000. They are a bit more comfortable though. In regards to the cleaning of the device - Those Cleaning Packs have 2 circular openings on top which are covered with a cap. Just peel that off/remove it and insert it into the station. I hope this works out for you!
Just think of all the cleanings you will save... Also, it takes about a month to got used to a new shaver as you have motor memory left over from your old shaver, give this at least a month before final commentary, I think you will notice the difference.
To be honest, I´d say no. It would be way too tedious to get the head bold with this. In my opinion at least. I´d rather take a hairclipper and shave the rest with a wet razor. There are also Shavers escepially for a bald shave. We didnt test them yet, but are already scheduling a couple of those :)
Good review but the problem with watching a few of them is the repeating word for word of the same info in regards to things like electric shavers in general and the wet shave part.
Thanks for your feedback! There is some "copy pasta" here. Its not the nicest way of doing things but it helps us to allocate our ressources better and be more consistent. Those parts you mentionend do of course count for all devices even though they seem identical. If there where any differences we would have called them out. Still, you are right of course. Its not that nice to things like that. We will try our best to be more individual with our reviews in the future. One Step at a time :)
Well if you are looking for a smooth expirience this would be one of the better electrical razors. You could also maybe try an OneBlade. Those get pretty smooth results as well. But to be fair, none of these get as smooth as a wet shave with a shaver/blade.
